More detailed information some Windows updates had similar problems, which were resolved to install the Windows fix or installation after reboot with only system drivers. But this time non-joy, I hope someone here can suggest other possible solutions, I may have missed.

Attempts to update:
(8) run sfc/scannow

After running Diagnostics, the log contains a series of mistakes which the diagnosis has not been able to fix, rather than take the time to identify and attempt to fix every error in topic, I chose to start with a clean slate.

(9) new Windows installation - success

  • Windows 7 SP1 won't install; computer crashes.

    Hello

Windows 7 SP1 appears in Windows Update, but whatever I do, it will not be installed and each Setup attempt, it crashes my computer.

When trying to install, I get the error 800b0100. However, Windows Update usually hangs on 0% download and I need turning off the computer to use it.

    I use Windows 7 64-bit.

I followed all THE tips: load Update Readiness Tool (KB947821) system; use the Windows Update troubleshooting tool (whenever it identifies a problem with a compenent update, said it corrected, but you run the it and the same process happens); downloaded the latest version of Windows update. disabled Norton...

Is not just to stop me update MS, but the constant search for updates made my computer unusable but is the cause of crash constantly. I can not use system restore because I tried the update as many times that the first restore point is too late.

I would be very grateful for any advice.

There have been similar problems happening when you use a cell phone type of internet connection.

One of the workarounds I've read is to start downloading from another connection, pause the download bit after it starts and then continue with the original connection, if desired.

I ran Fixit of Windows Update and Windows Update diagnosis, without result. The diagnosis of WU came up with two questions: "registration for the Service is missing or corrupt - fixed" and "the recent updates - fixed installation problems.

    1. what troubleshooting steps have you performed to correct the problem?

    2. you have any application installed on the computer security?

  • Update for Windows 8 (KB2822241) fails to install and has the error Code 800703F1

Greetings. My system Windows 8 found a major update, but it cannot install it. The update is called "Update for Windows 8 (KB2822241)." I try to install it and it installs and I see a screen that says:
    ________________________________

    Failed: 1 update
    Examine the important updates

    Error (s) found:

Code 800703F1 Windows Update has encountered a problem. Get help with this error
    ________________________________

From there, I have the option to 'Try again', but when I try I always get the same result (error 800703F1). I already tried the Windows Update troubleshooting tool and whenever I run that he finds two problems and offers correct: "Repair Windows Update Database Corruption" and "repair the Windows Update components. I had it apply these patches every time, but the problem persists.

I read about this setting by using the function "sfc/scannow", but oddly, when I try even in an elevated command prompt he also fails. It scans absolutely nothing and says: "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation."
The 'Windows Modules Installer"service is set to"Manual"and runs, as I read it is necessary.

What is really weird, is that in my list of installed updates, KB2822241 stands as one of the updates already installed with the name of "update for Microsoft Windows" (instead of "update for Windows 8"as one continues to try to install my PC), and when I run the independent for this update installer (I downloaded from the web site of Microsoft to try it) the installation program indicates the update is already installed, and it closes. This gave me the idea that maybe my PC is confusing one update for the other. After all, why he would find KB2822241 as an important update that it needs if it is already installed?

I know that I can normally solve the problem of update and the question of the SFC by resetting or refresh my PC via built-in tools of Windows 8, but I don't want to go through that, unless it's the only solution. System Restore didn't help, but it is an opportunity to reinstall some other updates.

As it is, then, the problems persist: "Update for Windows 8 (KB2822241)" settles "sfc/scannow" cannot perform the operation and not I ask.

For the record, my machine is a 900 Asus EeePC ha with an Intel Atom N270 CPU, 2 GB of RAM, and it is running 32-bit Windows 8.

I'd appreciate any help on this matter. Thank you in advance.
