Failed to open the store in windows 8

Help. I can't open the store, it keeps going back to start the screen whenever I click on it. Goes the same for "Set the PC", he returned to the home screen again. Nothing happened. The computer is offline and I reset the time zone also but nothing has changed. It has something to do with the first installation? Because I just bought the computer a few days ago and it comes with the Windows 8 SL.

And I can not download Skype also, it keeps directing the computer to the windows store while I can't open the store.

  • Sometimes, after the upgrade to Windows 8.1, the App Store may not start.
  • He could still show the number of updates available on the live tile.
  • From the app can show a ring of progress, but it can not finish loading.
  • To resolve this problem, run the following in a command window (CMD) to reregister the App Store:

PowerShell - ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage - registry DisableDevelopmentMode-$Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.XML

  • If you get the error 0x8007064A after you run, that means that the registry key 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppModel\Repository\packages' has noSYSTEM as owner.
  • Change the owner to the SYSTEM as explained here and try again.
  • To solve three other applications system such as laptop settings, run the following:

PowerShell - ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage - registry DisableDevelopmentMode-$Env:SystemRoot\camera\AppxManifest.xml

PowerShell - ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage - registry DisableDevelopmentMode-$Env:SystemRoot\FileManager\AppxManifest.xml

PowerShell - ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage - registry DisableDevelopmentMode-$Env:SystemRoot\ImmersiveControlPanel\AppxManifest.xml

I am logged in as administrator. BTW I also just installed the same printer on a new computer win7 hp desktop and and it worked fine. I can also access it from another laptop running xp. all on the same network.

A big thank you to all those who might lend a hand.  And I don't know 'if it isn't broken don't fix.'

    Hi Worktel,

    • You have a third-party security software installed on the computer?

Step 1, I suggest to access the link below and follow the steps in the article to run a Printing Troubleshooter.  http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/why-cant-I-print

    Step 2

If the printer troubleshooter help you to solve the problem and you are unable to open add a printer, you can also try to temporarily disable the security software from the computer and try to verify if can install the printer and print. If gets detected and if you can print, you can contact the manufacturer of security software and check if you need to change the settings. Later, re-enable the security software.

    Step 3

If the steps above do not help, you can try to create a new administrator account on your computer and check to see if you can install it.

To create a new user account, follow these steps:

    a. open user accounts by clicking on the button start the picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, click user accounts and family safety (or by clicking on user accounts, if you are connected to a network domain), and then clicking user accounts.

    b. click on manage another account. Administrator permission. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    c. click on create a new account.

    d. type the name you want to assign to the user account, click a type of account administrator and then click on create an account.

If it works fine in the new user account, you can access the link and follow the steps for the corrupt profile Fix:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/fix-a-corrupted-user-profile

Hope this helps and let us know the result.

  • Unable to connect to the store of Windows 8, failing WWAHost.exe?

    Hi all

For some reason I can't connect to the store of Windows 8. When I run the app I get the familiar green background, but it blocks just on hold.

I checked my log files and it looks like the app WWAHost.exe is a failure. I don't know exactly what this process is for, but I searched him and discovered that he has something to do with the store of Windows 8. I have also a log indicating that the winstore_1.0.0.0_neutral_neutral_cw5n1h2txyewy package has ended. I suspect that this is also related to the store of Windows 8.

Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

To transfer the profile settings, follow the suggestions below:

Copy old files to the new profile:

    a. go to C:\Users\Corrupted_Profile_Name\. The profile name will be the name of the corrupted profile.

    b. copy all the files.

    c. open the control panel and display of the folders options uncheck that Hide protected operating system files.

    d. navigate to C:\Users\Corrupted_Profile_Name and copy the Appdata folder.

Note: Do not copy these three files. NtUser.dat, NtUser.ini, NtUser.log.

    e. navigate to C:\Users\New_Profile_Name\.

    f. paste all files here.

Once you are confident that all of the settings and data are transferred to the new user account, you can remove the account from User_.

  • is it possible and safe to open the registry of Windows 98 into XP RegEdit on a system dual boot?

I have reinstall some stuff on the side of a system XP dual boot, I found the instructions to transfer the configuration to a new machine, and these instructions include export the registry keys to a .reg file. Is there a way I can save myself a few reboots if I find more like that and you open the registry of Windows 98 on drive C with Regedit in XP?

If necessary, I can easily access the regedit win98 since Windows 98 program is on drive C and XP on the D. I don't want to corrupt the registry win98se, if I try to open it under XP.

    The procedure would be

Open the registry of Windows 98SE.
Export the key to a .reg file
    Close the damper of win98.
copy the key in the .reg file in the registry of xp in the normal way.

    SlickRCBD salvation,

Unfortunately you cannot open regedit (registry editor) for the operating system Windows 98 to computer of Windows XP that you will not be able to access the same. You must start the operating system to access its registry settings.

Note: Microsoft does not have the responsibility to transfer the registry settings of the operating system to another. Op can do on its own risk.

When I try to open the Action Center, I receive this message. MMC cannot open the file C:\windows\system32\WF.msc

    Hello

Thanks for posting the question in the Microsoft Community forums.

According to the description, you get a message of error 'mmc cannot open the file C:\windows\system32\WF.msc' when you try to open the center of the Action.

We will perform the steps and check.

    Method 1:

Try to access the Windows Firewall configuration through the console Microsoft Management console.

    a. click on start
    b. type MMC (right-click and choose Run as administrator)
    c. click on file (in the upper right corner)
    d. click Add/Remove snap-in software component
    e. Select Windows Firewall with advanced settings, in Add Remove snap-ins windows
    f. click Add (clicking ok does not make any changes)
    d. click OK and you should be able to use the settings of the Console 1 window.

    Method 2:

If you are able to use the settings of the firewall through MMC, then scan your computer for corrupt system files.

Perform a SFC scan on your computer. Consult the following link:
