I am the administrator total privileage still i'm getting the following error...
MMC cannot open the file C:\WINDOWS\system32\compmgmt.msc
It is perhaps because the file does not exist, is not an MMC console, or was created by a later version of MMC. Perhaps it is also because you don't have sufficient access to the file.

MMC cannot open the file C:\Windows\System32\DFRG. MSC
I TRIED TO DEFRAG MY COMPUTER, IT WON'T WORK.
IT IS SAID TO BE, LOCKS, THE FILE DOES NOT EXIST, IS NOT AN MMC CONSOLE, OR WAS CREATED BY A LATER MMC VIRSION.I had the same problem. "There was a simple solution for me in C:\Documents and Settings\"my PC name"\Application Data\Microsoft\MMC folder." The defrag file was the only file showing. However, it lacked the extension ".msc". When I added the extension, this fixed my problem.

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate x 86 version and tries to install exPressit (by Memorex) is a very simple program and I just reinstalled Windows 7 just before so I have a new facility, 230gig of free space and 3 GB of ram so it could just be no proplem. Ive tried running as administrator and also replacing compatibility down to xp and Vista. I currently have 3 other computers using this program with Xp Proffesional, Windows Vista Ultimate, and Windows Vista Home Edition with no problems at all, so any ideas would be great cause if I don't find a solution quickly, that I have to downgrade to Vista.
You should contact the support of exPressit on the compatibility of Windows 7.

The project .mswmm file seems to be corrupted. I feel
you have to start over.Large, complex projects tend to cause problems... the best bet
would be to create several small projects, Publishing (economy)
each of them in the format .wmv movie to a folder on your hard drive
drive and then re - import clips video .wmv collected and
combine them into a final video file.Or... import clips .wmv in creation of DVD and each Let's
become a scene (chapter), you can have up to 18 scenes.FWIW... many file formats are would have been compatible with
Movie Maker, but the most reliable choices are:Photos - bmp
Video - wmv or dv - avi
Music - wma, wav, wmvJohn Inzer - MS - MVP - Digital Media Experience - Notice_This is not tech support_I'm volunteer - Solutions that work for me may not work for you - * proceed at your own risk *.
