Failure to configure the updates on Windows 8

Whenever I try to update my laptop windows8, it installs the updates, restart, fails to set them up and go back. I have the laptop plugged into the wall and the ethernet cable to ensure that there is no interruption in the diet or by internet. I'm kinda a waste since I can't go to 8.1 without having to install updates 1. I tried to go into the settings of update, but it fails to do so by using this too. What is McAfee? Any help would be welcome.

  • Is no longer able to install windows updates after factory reset (windows service exception / failure set up the updates of windows roll back)

So suddenly, I wanted to start my 3 month old laptop, but found that it was getting a system service exception.

After hours of troubleshooting, I decided to go with a clean installed, this has completely fine until I installed the updates of windows (I have to install these updates to return Windows 8.1)

After you install all the following updates occurs after a reboot:

-Default configuration of the windows updates, roll back later, I get a system service exception.

    - Or directly a system service exception.

These problems are solveable by a system restore to a point that has no updates.

The next thing I could try is install the updates of windows 1 by 1 to see the update is causing this particular problem.

If anyone has a way to solve this problem please help.

  • Laptop Toshiba Windows 8 failure to configure the updates... Returning from endless loop

I bought a new laptop (Toshiba Satellite C55-A5281) with window 8.  Once through the new normal computer set up, I saw that there were 108 updates for Windows 8.  Yes, it's a hundred and eight!  OK, may as well do before loading anything on the new computer, right?

Hours and hours later... I was always in an infinite loop.  I've been through all this hit F8 once forcing them to close and restart upward... then made the deal of refreshing to try to fix.  Then, I started the whole update process on and got the same thing... Hours later, once again.  I actually let it run all night.  Same ugly loop once again.

Maybe doing 102 updates at the same time, it is not a good idea.  But I have no idea of those who to try to do first.  Or exactly how just a little at a time.  And if I have to do one at a time, and each takes hours, I can't live that long...

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I knew before Windows 8 would be a challenge... but unfortunately it seems a lot harder than I expected.

I did the full restore... and then did a full reformat reset it all back at the factory.

Then I did some updates at once instead of 102 all at once.  It took forever, but seems to work.  Then I got a notice of update to Windows 8.1.  I did that as well (took hours) and everything seems to work now.  I have probably 20 hours of downloading (and wait) and the download time (and waiting) with this.  I hope it's over and I can go on living it normal.

If you have been playing around with the settings, you'd be wise to resinstall.  All that are "machine accounts" which are automatically defined by the system to the evolution of random passwords.  If you have accounts of changes of ntauthority to other accounts, you perhaps weakened the security level of the operating system.

No it's not a portal, that even Microsoft doesn't know what are these passwords.

  • Cannot install the update for Windows vista (KB2718704) a safe mode or after clean window reboot

I can't install the update for Windows vista (KB2718704), a mode without failure or after clean window reboot.

    What should I do?

    Hello

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         You get the error message?

    ·         You are able to install other updates successfully?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software .

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: Put the computer in a clean boot State to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow step 7 the link to start the computer to a Normal startupmode.

Method 3: You can also manually install updates (KB number) by downloading from the Microsoft Download Center.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx

Method 4: Follow the steps in the article.

How to reset the Windows Update components?

Note: You must take the backup of the data before performing any installation of windows.

  • Faliure in the update of windows

This is the issue: Windows 7 pro suddenly won't let me download updates until I have download Windows 10. At least that is what it seems. I get the failure to install the updates, back...

I even uncheck Windows 10 before you download specific updates, but no matter what is checked, only Windows 10 will start the download. Y way to Microsoft to force quietly win 10 on us? I tried everything but a clean install.

I tried to repair, startup repair.

-edition of things that experts of the forum says I should in the registry. Nothing

    -disabled the anti-virus, etc.

    -clean the cache update

Nothing works, Windows 10 applications to download before anything else.

It's scary. I tried 10 win on another pc and found to be a resource hog and invasive. So it has never been downloaded to this computer. Now, he wants to! Evil!

Select Start, all programs, Windows Update, the updates. If the optional updates are available, click Optional updates and make sure the box before to upgrade to Windows 10 is not checked. Right click on the upgrade to Windows 10 and select hide this update. Check the boxes in front of the other updates. Click install and click install again in the next window, and starts the installation process. You should allow the process to continue without interruption. Multitasking at the time updated is unwise. The progress window will show you what is happening. We must be patient. Restart the computer when you are prompted to do so.

You can see that the upgrade to Windows 10 is not hidden. If necessary, repeat if necessary

Right-click on the Start button and select Properties, the taskbar tab click Customize (under the Notification area). In the next window, place the cursor om GWX 1 and use the 2 scroll to change the behavior to Hide icon and notifications  3 and click OK 4 .

  • The update of Windows 10 1511 reboot loop Bootcamp BSOD ACPI. SYS

It is a copy of my thread to http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-performance/windows-10-update-1511-reboot-loop-bootcamp/8653... as I was asked to post here by the Microsoft Support Engineer.

    Hello

Friday night, I went to bed with a working machine. I had a late 2013 Mac Pro BootCamp running with a Windows 10 Pro installed, the Build version before 1511.

On Saturday morning, I woke up to my PC restart itself over and over again. It seems that Windows Update has decided to put a new version of Windows 10 on my machine without my knowledge. I discovered this after restoring an acronis backup (which took a few hours because of the number of incremental backups)

Occasionally (about 1 in 20 restarts) it would blue screen with an error:

    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (ACPI.sys)

But the rest of the time he would just start, flash a window for a millisecond that says (I think) winlaunch.exe, then restart.

I tried a lot of things to sort it, including:

    (1) restore from a backup, acronis to Friday morning, running sfc/scannow, and then runs the update

    (2) the creation of a recovery USB, enter the console, change the boot to legacy method, so I can F8, then goes into all security modes and mode of illegal product, but I can find where windows 10 now puts the boot log

    (3) restored from acronis, switched to mac, created a new bootcamp drivers usb, switched to windows and run the option 'fix drivers' before performing the update.

Ntbtlog.txt is not anywhere on the partition. I ran a dir /s > a.txt then open this a.txt in Notepad and searched him.

I don't know where to go from here. I can acronis restore of a windows 10 work machine the morning before installing mandatory 1511. I don't know how to delay the update no more, I noted during a restore I had delay on updates that are why it has arisen just now.

I do not know how to find where this BSOD ACPI.sys will come (even if it happens so rarely) or this that its trying to load just before it crashes (so I can try to delete the driver etc. by the front restored windows to upgrade)

I guess the widowed causes 10 to do a restore, then the restore fails.

Overall, I get at the end of my wits with this, to go a completely Windows 10 installation work Friday to more than two wasted days, restore backups, try again, rinse and repeat. It's now Monday morning and I am posting this as a ditch last attempt to solve the problem, your help would be appreciated.

If you need more information please let me know the location of the files, etc, or their names and I will do my best to have copies available for you.

I will now restore the backup again, uninstall loading of drivers, and then try the update of windows for the 4th or 5th time.

    Thanks in advance,

    Julian

Woo Hoo, I've solved the problem!

I uninstalled the drivers of graphics from AMD (with AMD Driver Cleaner) and Arcronis True Image Home 2013 at the same time, then let Windows Update run its course. Now I have a machine with Windows Version 1511 10!

It took me 4 days of downtime...

I hope this helps someone else.

  • HP EliteBook 850 G3: HP EliteBook 850 G3: its problems after the update of Windows 10 anniversary

    Hi people!

After the update of Windows 10 birthday I have problems with my sound card. There are two sound cards listed by Device Manager. The first is "Conexant Audio of ISST" and the second "Intel High Definition Audio". I know not weather it was the case before the update. I just recognized it after the update when I had sound problems.

In any case, on a sound start works on the other boot it does not work. It seems that Windows chooses the sound card, every time when it starts. Sometimes it takes the bad sound card.

I tried to uninstall maps its and their resettlement. On the HP site, there is a driver for the Conexant map bot no driver for Intel High Definition Audio card. 10 Windows itself is not find a driver for this sound card. I also tried to reinstall the other drivers, chipset drivers for example. But unfortunately it did not help. I also tried to disable the Intel High Definition Audio, but also without success.

What else can I try? I don't want to reinstall Windows. There must be a solution without this. Any ideas? Here's a screenshot of my device manager, perhaps it helps:

If you need more information, please let me know.

    Best regards

    Ty

I just tried this driver and I still have sound after 6 resets.
