Fast? on drop down/pop menus

Hi thanks for the research.

It's on the small white triangles in the toolbar that allows you to spin on more options of this tool. What is the deal with those? I hover and the hover and no additional options / sometimes they will work and most of the time they don't.

IE: Forms a small triangle to access the ellipse, rectangle etc... I clicked and nothing happens. I go over it, same thing. I had to open up once and I seconded to use. Back into the Toolbox, and then he won't do it again.

Is there a mouse sensative issue? I looked under prefrences... Strange thing in Flash.

I use PC

Win7Pro 64-bit.

Reference Dell monitor and mouse.

  • Drop-down menu CSS will not appear on Flash video in IE8

I have a simple CSS menu that refuses to appear on a Flash video embedded in IE8. It works perfectly in Firefox well. I tried several different fixes, but nothing seems to work. The view is www.slattenstudios.com. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Add one wmode as another and that should take care of it:

Window mode (wmode) - what is it for?
There are three modes of window.
    Window
    Opaque
    Transparent
By default, Flash Player gets its own hWnd in Windows. This means that the Flash animation actually exist in an instance of display in Windows who lives above the basic browser display window. So if it seems to be in the window of the browser, technically, it's not. It is more efficient for Flash in this way to draw and it is faster and more efficient rendering mode. However, it is drawing regardless of the browser HTML rendering surface. This is why this default mode (which equals wmode = "window") does not good composition with DHTML layers. That is why your drop-down JavaScript menus happen behind your Flash animation.
(As opaque) window mode, Flash Player is not an hWnd. This means that the browser tells the Flash Player, when and where to draw on the surface of the own browser rendering. The Flash animation is no longer are made at a higher level if you want to. It's right there in the page with the rest of the elements on the page. Flash buffer is simply drawn in the rectangle of the said browser, with any scene space Flash not occupied by objects with the background color of the movie no matter what.

    in the object and

    wmode = "opaque".

  • Drop-down list menu pasted on the screen - Windows 7

    Hello

Few other coworkers recently experienced an annoying glitch in Windows 7: having access to drop down / context menus and when they chose something (say: do right click on desktop--> customize, for example) and select 'Customize' "stuck" to the screen in the exact same place it has been clicked. Now, out of nowhere, my PC (Windows 7) started having the same problem. All of our PC, some to work and my own at home, are machines performing with more than enough RAM (16 GB, Intel Core i7-2600 processor 3.40 GHz) and good GPU (mine is Geforce GTX 580 1536 MB of memory GDDR5, others may be a little older but still good for today, for game purposes).

After searching for information for a bit, I realized that it is a problem more common that I first thought, some forum discussions go until 2008 (Windows XP SP2 and SP3). Now, I also found a few solutions more or less work, a more or less temporary nature. It comes to change the resolution of the screen and then return to the original, flipping the screen upside down and some a bit more advanced:
"Start - run -"tskill dwm"or kill DWM. EXE from the Task Manager, it restarts instantly with gone menu items. "(as written on a forum thread)

Now, some people find help in one or two of these solutions, some are may not be not as lucky. For me, thread of TheDr1ver.comgave the 'response '. You go to computer (right click)--> Properties--> Advanced--> settings system settings... (running)--> uncheck "Fade out menu after clicking items on"--> OK. What this does, I think, is to reduce the "eye-candy" on the transitions of the elements on the screen or something like that. He helped my case but we're also the right click menus drop-down weird in a way that if I come up with the right button and does not move the pointer of the mouse, the menu appears as a transparent and only after I move the mouse pointer, it will become fully visible. At the moment I'm OK with that. This is better than having a drop of 'Properties' to the bottom of the element stuck on my screen.

However, what intrigues me is that this problem has persisted for many years. And there was a lot of discussion on this topic. My question is: why Microsoft did not something to solve this problem? I can't live without the eye-candy on my OS I appreciate performance over Visual tricks, but I don't have to change the settings for a lesser visually 'version' when my PC has the muscle to run it with all the eye-candy. As much as it came out of the Blue: the only thing I changed in my PC in recent weeks has been the new drivers for Geforce. And even after installing new drivers weren't graphics bugs in Windows. This glitch "menu drop-down stuck" happened without warning of any kind. The same thing happened to my co-workers. One day, you start your computer and what is happening.

I'm going to say here that answers such as "turn off Aero", 'disable all Visual effects' do not apply because they weren't a problem a few days that they were not a question every day since I bought this computer. We (and I mean many people with this parasite, annoying their death) need a good answer, a patch, something that will deal with the issue once and for all.

    My rig:
    Processor Intel Core i7-2600 3.40 GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
    16 GB of RAM
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580, (1536 MB) GDDR5
    Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601)

PS Sorry if my post sounds hard towards the end, but this problem has been so persistent over the years to an official solution that does not require the Central PCs disable Visual features of the OS just to operate normally. Especially since the problem occurs randomly.

I was having the same problem recently and wonder if it's something with the GeForce drivers.

Someone having this problem (not nvidia) have another video card?

I just tried reinstalling my drivers to see if that fixes anything.

Edit: reinstalling the driver solves the problem.

The fix that worked for me:

Control Panel, system, advanced system settings.

Advanced tab, click settings in terms of Performance.

Uncheck the disappearing menu items after clicking on.

Restart the Desktop Window Manager Session Manager service updates the desktop computer to remove all existing ghosts too.

  • Does not not on the website of phone menu drop-down

I am currently working on a version of phone of my new site, and for some reason any the drop down sub menus do not appear in the navigation bar. Is anyone able to suggest where I go wrong?

    Hi Contemporary_Dave,

Go to the options menu panel and check what type of menu. (For phone use)

If it's 'Top level Pages' and then selecting 'All pages' in the menu drop-down will begin showing the submenus as well.

In case the menu type is "Manual" then you create the submenu for each menu item or create a menu with the type of menu in the form of 'all pages '.

    Kind regards

  • Drop-down menus and Flash image

My development page has two things about it that are conflicting with each other. I have a flash animation and a menu drop-down. I'd like the menu to jump over the flash object, but quickly learned that some objects float naturally to the top - thread - but, the fix on this thread will not work for what I'm trying to do.

Is there another way to get my menu pop on the film? I noticed that the adobe homepage has its menus on top of the flash movie, so it must be possible, somehow... right?

Here is my Page of Test if it helps to see what is happening. The pop-up in question is 'What We Do'-> 'programs '.

The key is a special Flash called WMODE parameter, abbreviation for Mode window.
You will need to add this parameter to your movie, the value transparent. The
way faster in Dreamweaver is to select your Flash movie and, from the
Property inspector choose parameters. In the dialog box that opens, add
in the setting column and transparent wmode under value. This should be
    the trick!

  • drop-down menus are not open

Any program that uses the menu drop-down menus in the program such as outlook will allow not her drown to the bottom of the window to stay open enough long to allow you mouse and choose anything from the drop down. When a window pops up which is happening in a program that any movement with the mouse will make up the pop are also behind the window of the program cause you to minimize all windows to find the context menu.  I should mention that not all drop down have this problem. the bottom of the main fall to the Ribbon do not have the problem.

    Hello

You did changes to the computer before the show?

    Method 1
I suggest you perform the clean boot and check if the problem persists. Clean boot will disable all of the third-party program to see if any third-party program is causing the problem. When you perform the clean boot make sure that you also disable all antivirus and firewalls on the computer.

Note: Follow step 7 clean boot KB929135 article to reset the computer in normal mode.

    Method 2
The issue could be due to a virus on the computer. I suggest you run virus scan online by using the Microsoft safety scanner.

    var v = this.getField("UserDepartment").value;
    var v2 = this.getField("UserRole").value;

To make it replace the first two lines of your code with this:

    var f = this.getField ("UserDepartment");

  • DW-MX-04 in the drop-down menus do not work.

I use Dreamweaver MX 2004 (have been for several years, so I know my way around it).  I want to create the menu drop-down or menu ruffles to consolidate the links on the page into categories in order to reduce the number of tabs of link I have on each page.  I was able to create the menu, I needed (using the: Tag Chooser\ Behaviors\ the menu Pop-U), but when I saw the pages in Internet Explorer, the text shows that on the text of mouseover (not on top) despite the text color defined as black in the Menu window.  But it's even worse.  When I downloaded the page to try it, in the drop-down menus appear not at all when I hover over the main buttons and I get javascript errors.

Can someone give me assistance both on how to solve this problem?

I checked the issue of text color by using the code editor pane view, and it matches the way I have it set on the Shortcut Menu.  But that's the least of my worries, if I can't get to work at all when the pages are turned.

    Thank you... JEB

  • Unable to see full in drop-down menus (top bar)

    Hey,.

TL; DR - my menus go above the screen and I can't access the options.

Do not know when or why it happened, but my menu drop-down navigation of the Apple at the top of the menu bar.

The menu does not allow me to see anything above the screen or scrolling to that count... This is true for all icons (wifi, sound, date and time, etc.). I tried to restart at the most. Should I try to reset the NVRAM?

    Help, please!

Restart your Mac. If this does not help, restart secure boot mode.

Start with the SHIFT key is pressed. This will start in Safe Mode, with all extensions turned off. Safe mode is slow to start, so give it time, it checks a lot of tasks. If it works fine in Safe Mode, restart normally. If it works now, you are finished.

If the problem comes back after a reboot, you have an extension conflict. Disable all extensions via system preferences. To isolate which extension is at fault, turn on an extension at the same time, restart in the meantime, until you find bad.

  • Can't select in menus on any drop-down Web site

I'm on OSX.7.5 (old machine, cannot be updated.) Was just upgraded to Firefox 41.0.1. Is no longer, I can choose any drop on a Web site. Before the upgrade, I could always select from the menus or drop-down autofill. Has there been any update to any other software before this problem appear. Some examples are:
-I go to a site where he asks name, address, etc. The window appears with the previous Scriptures, but I can't highlight and select an option.
-I am entering data such as credit card information, where I have to select the entries of type of card, expiration date, etc. Once again, I can't highlight or select my entries.

In most cases, I can type the entry (all, not only the first characters) and press 'enter', to fill in the field. However, it is both boring and doesn't always work.

I rebooted in safe mode; no change to this problem. I tried to use AddOns to fill auto-type; still get the same problem.

    Any ideas? Thank you.

  • «"You want to enlarge the fonts in the drop-down menus, especially for" view all bookmarksbookmarks»

The fonts are really small in the bookmark drop down menus.

There is a Firefox extension that allows you to enlarge the fonts in the menu and toolbar. You could give this a try and see if it works for bookmarks, too:

    https://addons.Mozilla.org/firefox/addon/theme-font-size-changer/

Its button usually appears towards the end of the main toolbar once you install it. Once you have finished defining the desired font size, you can take the bar button using the personalization feature. See: Customize Firefox commands, buttons, and toolbars.

An empty menu appears right without entries. But the problem is not consistent.

Heals the problem to the menu bar of FF and other questions of FF from FF in safe mode. But I can't find which plugin or extension is causing the problem.

    All ideas

Hello makatikid, try Disabling graphics hardware acceleration and check again.

You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

    Then perform the following steps:

    1. Open the Firefox Options window as follows:

      • Click the menu button

        and select Options

    2. In the Options of Firefox window, click the Advanced tab, and then select general.
    3. You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
    4. Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

In addition, please check the updates for your graphics driver by following the steps in the following knowledge base articles:

In firefox safe mode, hardware acceleration is disable.

    Thank you.

  • Drop-down menus does not open. Click right box will not appear.

    Hello!

Yesterday, I was working on the Wix site. I noticed that when I tried to do a right click to copy and paste text box never showed up. I realized then, on other sites, in the drop down menus would not open (as the ones where you select your State, etc.). I can't turn on the bar menu at the top of Firefox with the ALT key, but when I click Tools or anything else, the box does not fall down. Same thing for my bookmarks and menu of frequently used buttons. My right click works fine when I'm not online. I really like to use Firefox and hope that there is a better solution than to switch to a different browser. I use Firefox at work and it's there.

Please let me know if you need more information.

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that disables certain parameters, disables most Add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • In Firefox 29,0 and above, click on the menu button

      click Help

then select restart with disabled modules.

    • In previous versions of Firefox, click on the Firefox button in the upper left of the Firefox window and click help (or click on help in the Menu bar, if you do not have a Firefox button) and click on restart with disabled modules.

If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Mode safe mode as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. Please follow the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.
