  I'm transferring photos to a new computer.  All the files have been transferred other than the Lightroom file.  It is about 15 gigabytes.

  This folder contains your catalog and previews file. It must be on the new computer. After the installation of Lightroom on the new computer simply double-click this catalog and start using Lightroom, as you did before. • easy transfer question

  Hi all

  Have a question: thought I was easy windows xp to xp with the transfer program, but it was actually easy transfer from xp migration to windows 7.  I restored the computer and finally everything is being updated.  Then I discovered that xp version of the simple transfer would not open the file (actually wouldn't even find it).  I realized then that the program did not look the same even so I went out and downloaded the other version which is the the xp to windows 7, but unfortunately, it is not the possibility of plain old NEW computer.  Which makes sense since I am running xp pro again.

  So, I'm stuck with the wrong file and cannot restore the files I need.

  Anyone got any ideas?

  So basically - you export all your files from XP (before either layout of the XP machine and installation of Windows 7 or Windows XP machine has also been deleted / is not available for you now?) using the files and Settings Transfer Wizard (F.a.S.T.) and you should now import into Windows 7 , but it uses the Wizard Windows Easy Transfer (W.E.T.) - which is a different technology.  You realized the mistake (should have downloaded and used W.E.T. on the Windows XP - and if you still have access to the said machine in the same condition it was when you used F.a.S.T. on that, you could always) and I wonder if it is possible to get at least your files off the Windows XP image exported F.a.S.T.?

  It seems to be a lot of confusion with this transfer and support.

  The current offer as I understand it is $9.99 per month for 10 photos.

  It starts at the end of my Photo of Dollar annual contract in September?  And if it would be special pricing be available in September or my contract time ends with the transfer and I have to pay $9.99 a month now to receive a special award?

  Currently, I have 150 downloads still available and had a VIP membership.

  When you copy pictures from your camera through any software (Kodak, elements, Lightroom, import Windows operating system, etc.) a physical copy is created on your storage media (whenever you have configured the software to copy photos to).

  When you install Photoshop Elements, you also get Photoshop elements Organizer. Organizing is a virtual library of images and videos that are available on your computer. You can choose which photos are included in the Organizer, choosing the images you want to import. The request of the Organizer, you can view your assets and then modify, improve or change accordingly in Photoshop element Editor (photos) or Premiere Elements (for videos, requires separate purchase).

  To answer your questions:

  • Can I still keep this and only transferred those I want to correct on items 11? [Ivan David] Yes, absolutely. Choose and import only the photos you want in Photoshop multimedia elements.

  I'm about to finally upgrade iPhoto Photos on our mid 2010 MacBook Pro. My intention is to keep a copy of the complete resolution of each photograph on our MacBook Pro by enabling the option 'Download this Mac originals '. I think reading on the Photos all of my photos & videos will be synchronized between my MacBook, iPhone and iPad Pro if I select to use iCloud Photo library functionality and that if I delete a photo on my iPad, for example, it will remove this photo in iCloud and so on all my devices connected. My question is the original photograph display full resolution will also be deleted on the MacBook Pro? Reason for the request is I wish I could use my iPad Pro through my entire photo library and bring order to the top (remove bad photographs, etc.), but if these photographs I remove in iCloud by using my iPad remain on my MacBook Pro so I'll have to do it again on my MacBook Pro... so I would be wasting my time to do using my iPad. Thanks for any advice.

  Yes, I understand form everywhere Deleting removes everything for everyone but I haven't checked it - Léonie done much more work on his iPad and may have checked this

  As for the upgrade - I see no reason to do it in two steps - I just back up and go to Sierra then start leaning Phtops (this is a new program with a learning curve and new workflow - if you think of it like an iPhoto update you will be frustrated because he's not - is a completely new application)

  Why do you think changing the AppleID will remove your photos from the Mac?

  Is the library of Photos on your Mac a photo library of iCloud?  If so, you are using "Optimize Mac Storage"?

  If you use "Optimize Mac Storage" you must disable this option and download all photos in iCloud photo library, until you switch to a different AppleID to iCloud photo library.  Your Mac has enough free storage to download all photos in iCloud?  If so, download the photos to iCloud and then disable iCloud photo library as described here: https://help.apple.com/photos/mac/1.2/?lang=en#/phtf5e48489c (the last paragraph - stop using iCloud photo library)

  Important: If you turn off your iCloud photo library, you will be prompted to choose 'Download this Mac originals' in the iCloud Photos preferences pane, then all your original photos can be downloaded from iCloud to your Mac. Be sure to leave your originals to download before shutting iCloud library completely.

  1. Choose Photos > Preferences, then click on iCloud.
  2. Uncheck the box for iCloud photo library to turn it off.

  After having turned off iCloud photo library, the Photos on your Mac app can not access your photos or videos stored in iCloud. Your library remains in iCloud and available to other devices than iCloud use photo library.

  Once all photos are back safely on your Mac, you can change again for the new AppleID in iCloud preferences and enable iCloud photo library.

  You say you have OS X 10.11.2 - the current version is OS X 10.11.6 then you need to update

• Finally got images in the Photos, still questions

  Hello, after days of playing I've got finally all my images from Aperture in Photos and they all seem to be there. The problem, however, is the following. Most of my images are RAW format and each about 20Mb in size, it will take a life time to download to iCloud (so I have access to them on all devices).

  How can I change / modify these files to us will say Jpeg that will be much smaller and faster to download.

  I'd appreciate any help you could give me please!

  You can not change anything in the library of Photos ever

  If you want something different in the library, you need to export the unmodified original, make the changes, delete the shape of photos of the library, including the recently deleted using photo album and give it time to synchronize well - then import the original 'new' in Photos

  However even if it is slow it is probably a good idea to have your RAW original images on iCloud - ballasts that you use small optimized version on any device with a limited space but always ahvve the benefits of the RAW for devices with large storage
