Photos: Transfer faces of people

Previously identified must "Faces" in the app transfer Photos to the 'people' in the upgrade of the Sierra? I can't find evidence they did.

All the faces, I appointed on El Capitan appeared in the album of the people after the upgrade.  People album is empty for you?

  • The photo tagging with no faces in people of iOS 10 Photos

I have several photos that do not have 'faces' for the new ios10 to recognize or scan - as the rear view of the bride, the back view of the 2 people walking into a sunset, etc.. Previously, I was able to 'manually add a face' that would allow me to have this image included in the album "faces" of this person. How can I force the new ios10 and macSierra to label a non image so that it is included in the appropriate album "people"?  Is there a place where photos go who have not analyzable face so that I can manually add the correct designation 'people '?

in the Photos on iOS 10 devices, you can only people by name who were detected by face detection.

    http://help.Apple.com/iPhone/10/#/iph9c7ee918c

It's different in the Photos on a Mac, where you can manually add circles of faces for the photos and the name of the person.

  • Faces of people now will be these sync to the people on the iPhone?

So all my faces marked the previous version of Photos look to be correctly converted to people with the appropriate names on the new update of Sierra for Photos.

But will these people tags by synchronized with the iPhone iOS10 app new photos? My iPhone is still scanning of photos, but I wouldn't need to work again on the phone and tell her who are all these faces.

    Thank you

    Nick

Apparently not, although we all they - say Apple hoped your desires - many people have and the better the chances of resolution - http://www.apple.com/feedback/photos.html

  • Faces of people vs El Capitan Sierra

I'm on El Capitan and using the faces in the Photos.  These faces have been updated and organized over the past 8 years.  When I switch to Sierra, who goes to work?  The faces will be migrated to the people?  Or will exist people and faces?

For the moment, no one can discuss in public forums beta software. We all know during the liberation of Sierra.

  • New Apple ID Photo transfer

I am connected to my old Apple ID on my MacBook, but have a different, new ID, apple on my iPhone. I have thousands of photos on my Mac that I'm terrified of losing if I change. Is it possible to transfer my ID apple without them all removed on my Mac. Thank you in advance. John

Why do you think changing the AppleID will remove your photos from the Mac?

Is the library of Photos on your Mac a photo library of iCloud?  If so, you are using "Optimize Mac Storage"?

If you use "Optimize Mac Storage" you must disable this option and download all photos in iCloud photo library, until you switch to a different AppleID to iCloud photo library.  Your Mac has enough free storage to download all photos in iCloud?  If so, download the photos to iCloud and then disable iCloud photo library as described here: https://help.apple.com/photos/mac/1.2/?lang=en#/phtf5e48489c (the last paragraph - stop using iCloud photo library)

    Stop using iCloud photo library

Important: If you turn off your iCloud photo library, you will be prompted to choose 'Download this Mac originals' in the iCloud Photos preferences pane, then all your original photos can be downloaded from iCloud to your Mac. Be sure to leave your originals to download before shutting iCloud library completely.

    1. Choose Photos > Preferences, then click on iCloud.
    2. Uncheck the box for iCloud photo library to turn it off.

After having turned off iCloud photo library, the Photos on your Mac app can not access your photos or videos stored in iCloud. The changes you make to photos on your Mac do not appear on other devices, and the new photos you take will not be added to the Photos on your Mac. Your library remains in iCloud and available to other devices than iCloud use photo library.

Once all photos are back safely on your Mac, you can change again for the new AppleID in iCloud preferences and enable iCloud photo library.

  • Photo transfer iPhotos library

iPhotos crash on my iMac, so I think it would be better now to transfer everything to the Photos App. How can I do this and how would retain the albums that I put in place? I created albums to allow easy searching for example 'ribbons' etc. I don't want to start all over again create these albums. Any help is appreciated, thanks

You say you have OS X 10.11.2 - the current version is OS X 10.11.6 then you need to update

As for migration, it is very simple - move the iPhoto library to the Photos icon in the dock and everything will migrate according to these rules - Details of how Photos manages migrating from iPhoto

and note that the pictures is a new and Photos is a new and completely different program with a learning curve and of the different workflow than iPhoto - these can help

  • Photos 'Add' face is broken

Photos lets me add faces on my photos.  I go to a photo in my album, click on 'Get Info', then 'Add Face.'  A circle appears in the photo.  I'm supposed to be able to drag and resize this circle to animate Photos where the face is.  I can't move the circle, although 'Click to name' works.  Sorry for the bad picture here but this forum has size restrictions and there is no way to provide a video, even in the year 2016.  Sigh.  It is version 1.5 of Photos, later.

Restart your Mac and try again - this usually resolves this

  • photo transfer from old PC HP dvd drive using external apple

I use an iMac OS X El Capitan.

  • iPhoto / Photo transfer from computer to phone

I finally understood how to transfer photos selected in my iPhone of iPhotos via a folder designated in iPhotos that transfers the photos to a folder selected in my phone.

Apple has decided to no longer support iPhotos.

Now, I have to deal with photos - (which is not as user-friendly as iPhotos).

I went through a learning curve and multiple libraries identified in Photos and finally got a designated photo library can I open when I need to access my pictures to the computer.
NOW - no matter how many times I tried to understand this, pictures will NOT transfer my account identified in this list on my iPhone the same way I used to be able to do it in iPhotos.

It is essential because I have an app on my phone which is ONLY usable on my phone that helps me to manipulate photos in a specialized style.  I can then download rigged photos back to my office and moving to special folders on the Photos, then export them to the where - ever I need on my computer.

It is SO frustrating... any suggestions or ideas on how to get photos to allow me to use a folder identified to move the photos in my iPhone?

Turn on iCloud photo library on all devices - it will keep all totally synchronized libraries and any changes (additions, deletions, or modifications) libraries will be synchronized to all devices - is much easier than your work in iPhoto flow

    Hey Diederik,

My normal method to transfer photos from a phone would be Bluetooth (via a dongle BT USB if you'd have already been installed on the laptop computer of bluetooth).

As an alternative, also we can email photos from the phone, although this is not very effective if there is a large amount of them.
