Fastest time expected update - NI 9265 current of output

I use an output module current 9265 with 9174 chassis.  Basically, I want to read in a text file, analyze a value to a certain dt (at the present time, I am 20 Hz) and writing a value to the card, which will control a valve.  Break down: adjustment points (1) read a 4-20ma 2) output the value of EI file to a certain dt for each iteration in the while loop.  Can I expect this system to be close to 20 Hz?  I need my timing to be very close, but I understand that by using a Windows system (Windows 7) will cause the jitter in the system and avoiding the near-perfect.  Thank you.

Hello Mr._Bass,

The NI 9265 updates its output values each 9.5 US, that only calculates over 100,000 samples per second.  Therefore, the hardware itself has the ability to maintain this speed.  Depending on your system and the amount expected from the jig, this number can vary quite a bit depending on your machine.  If you have typical tasks such as antivirus, firewall, or any other thing that Windows is running in the background, jitter will increase.  On average, the amount of jitter in a windows system is the order of the hundred nanoseconds, but can vary considerably.  Outputs at 20 Hz will be an update with a period of 50 000 (0.05 s), so even if your system jitter is high and about 50 US, it would affect only your calendar of 0.1%.  Please keep in mind that these amounts of jitter are estimates and may be not accurate for your system.

If your application must be very closely controlled, and you see higher levels of jitter that your system can support, there are steps to take to reduce jitter.  The best way is to use LabVIEW Real-time, but this option would probably a bit of review to implement.  I recommend just using a timed in LabVIEW for Windows hardware output operation.  Because the jitter occurs in the operating system, you can write your data to the physical buffer of your NOR-9265, where the sample clock will have no interference of Windows.  "To see the difference in hardware and software timed operation, launch the Finder for example OR by browsing in LabVIEW for Help" find examples.  "" "Then select hardware entry and exit" DAQmx "analog generation ' current.  You can see two examples, Gen Mult current updates-Int clock VI and Gen Mult current updates-SW Timed VI.  The main difference between these two screws is the use of the VI DAQmx Timing for timing of setting material being controlled.  More information on the implementation of operations of timed material are available here: http://www.ni.com/white-paper/2835/en#toc5

I hope you find this information useful.  If you are concerned with the jig in your system and need an easy way to measure and control, you might also look at using the NI LabVIEW Jitter analysis tools.  Good luck with your application.

  • Can I remove Western Austrailian time zone update?

I was trying to figure out why my computer fathers moves so slowly and on a 27% free space on it.  I defragmented and ran the cleaning disc.  Thing I would do would be appreciated.  Deleted photos and unwanted programs, but still has not made a difference.

Some how my dad has a program called update zone Western Australia time on his computer and it takes 4 095,00 MB so space.  Is it safe for me to simply remove this program via the control panel of the computer hurt them with anything else?

If you're basing your belief that "The Western Australia time zone update" takes 4095 MB (which is rather much space) based on the report in the control panel > Add / Remove Programs, that number is probably inaccurate.

However, if you do not live in Western Australia, the chances are that you don't need this update.

If the drive has 27% of free space, a crowded disk is not slowing down things.

Apart from the obvious things like an old, slow CPU and a minimum amount of RAM, you should start by looking at the processes tab of the task (CTRL + ALT + DELETE) Manager.  Double-click on the "CPU" column title to sort entries by decreasing the percentage of processor utilization.

Insofar as any further hard drive cleaning, what follows is my response keeps on this topic:

There are a number of things you can do to- temporarily - free up disk space.  The only real solution, however, is to get a bigger internal hard drive.   You can move the data to an external drive, but if it's the data that you use frequently, slower access times may annoy you.  Therefore, I do not recommend that you move your My Documents folder in its entirety on an external drive, but you can certainly do this by following the related instructions.

    • You can run Disk Cleanup (start > run > cleanmgr > OK)
    • You can reduce the size allocated for the restoration of the system to about 1 GB (right click on desktop > properties > system restore > settings)
    • You can disable hibernation (if you don't use it) (right click on an empty spot on the desktop > properties > screen saver > power > Hibernate)
    • You can disable the indexing of the drive, which will also speed up your computer a bit (http://lifehacker.com/031440/turn-off-indexing-and-speed-up-windows-xp)
    • You can reduce the size of your Internet browser cache (depending on the browser that you use)
    • You can remove most of the $NTUninstallKBxxxxxx files $ following the directions here: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Hotfix_backup.htm (read the warnings in the gray box first)
    • See also:

" How to recover disk space on Windows Server 2008 and Windows XP computers? ."

" Forty ways to free disk space ."

But none of these answers you will earn really large amounts of space for very long.  The term solution time is a bigger hard drive.

In the meantime, download and run JDiskReport, that will show you graphically what files take up more space.  If you want to move an application on an external drive, you will need to uninstall and then reinstall it specifying your external drive as the installation location.  You can not simply move the files.

  • HP DV7-4050ea: Date & only time not updated DV7-4050ea

I have a HP Pavillion DV7-4050ea. Whenever I restart the computer, the date time not not to date. I changed the battery (CR2032) without result. Is this what can I do to make sure of the correct date and time of updates every time I restart the computer.

    Hello

Try to manually set the date/time of the bios again.

You should see that the first field highlighted is the time value - set this to the correct time by using f5 and f6 (f5 will reduce the number & f6 it will increase).  When it is correct, press ENTER to highlight the Minute field and again, use f5 & f6 to set the correct minutes.

When finished, press the arrow down to select the first Date field.  This should be for the month, so using f5 & f6 to enter the correct value.

Press Enter to highlight the field day and this, and then press ENTER to highlight the year field and then set this.

If you are happy with the settings of Date and time, press f10 and press ENTER to save the settings and exit the bios.

Let windows load completely.  If the Date and time correct does not appear, go to the control panel and set the Date and time correct here.

Restart computer and check if this has fixed the problem.

Can someone please explain to me why there is an update to the current process of ACR6 button? Why is it necessary?

It is not one in ACR5.7 (AFAIK), although there is no new details controls either.

Something bad happens once you decide to accept the 2010 process? Something that can not be reversed?

I'm sure it will be obvious when explained, but I don't see what it could be!

  • time to update the index

I created a new table and inserted the number of lines (for example near 1000), the index database is updated to take into account (or view) the newly inserted rows. How to find the time to update the taken by the index of prior State to a new State, referring to the newly inserted rows of 1000?

You can try to use the runstats tool to compare 2 different scenarios SQL and deduct the time required for maintenance of indexes.

    Scenario1:
Insert 1000 rows in a table without indexes on the table

    scenario2:
Insert 1000 rows in the table with the index on the table

time for scenario2 - time for scenario1 is time for index maintenance, provided that you run these tests on hosts/databases without concurrent activity.

  • Windows8 system time not updated.

I recently bought a HP envy 14 inch sleekbook with windows8.

The time system in my laptop is not updated. When I boot my system, his watch earlier when I turned off my laptop.

Please let me know how to solve this problem?

Check the time\date in the BIOS.  If the time system is not at the time put into it after the restart of the sleekbook, then it means generally that the battery of the CCF (BIOS) does not hold a charge.  It is one of the functions of the RTC (real time clock) battery. It also provides current to the BIOS eeprom chip so that it retains all its power of system settings a stop at the next startup.

Replace the RTC battery in a HP sleekbook is something that should be done by an HP Service Center. Contact HP warranty service

  • Cluster of Boolean controls does not expect update

    Hello

I'm confused about the following question: in the joint Test Cluster of Boolean controls Functionality.vi, I have a Boolean controls group, some disabled and grayed out, other permits. If I click on one of two Boolean controls permits, and then on the other hand, I want the Boolean selected first control to False. Update Cluster indicator shows the desired behavior. What confuses me, is that the new value does not update accordingly. When I clicked at least once on two Boolean values, the new value remains [TRUE, TRUE] at all times, and the structure of the event runs.

I have a work around, as shown in the Test Cluster of Boolean controls feature Workaround.vi, but it looks like 'Nice' no, because it's more complicated than necessary. Anyone know why the new value refreshes as expected? Please notify. Thank you.

    Best regards

    Here is a simple solution.

Of course, you can use a container of radiobutton instead of a cluster for simpler code. Try it!

  • Time to update buffer PCI-6713

    Hello guys,.

We use PCI-6317for 50 Hz generation of waveform of 3 phases for a quite a while using the library OR-DAQ traditional.

We could not get a reliable update of a waveform with a single call to the WFM_DB_Transfer function and need to call double.
Otherwise, we could sometimes get a signal consisting of the buffer past and present.

For now, that's a good solution, but now we have different requirements.

We went to NOR-DAQmx and surprisingly managed to update the PCI-6713 buffer with a single call to DAQmxWriteAnalogF64. But it seems that we can update the buffer only once per period of output signal.
For our 50 Hz signal is 20mS. Function until the next blocks.

    That is the first question.
Can we call DAQmxWriteAnalogF64 wave update more often than 50 times per second for the output 50 Hz signal?

If the answer is positive, how can it be done?

I have attached a LabWindows CVI 7.0 source code for an example of test (for 1 channel only) program we wrote specifically for this post.
The waveform generation is started by calling ConfigureTask and StartTask reminders in this list.

Could someone kindly tell me what changes to the code have to do to update the asynchronous output with output buffer?

    And another question.
PCI6317 can generate signals with different frequencies (channel 1 said generates 50 Hz signal, channel 2-60 Hz, etc.)?

Thank you very much for all supplied glue!

    Andriy

The answer to this question is no.  It is not possible to dynamically change the environment buffer output.  You must wait until the buffer is exhausted, and then change the stamp on the next set of data.

The only thing to do with your current hardware is to reduce the size of form of wave/buffer.  You must call the function write significantly more often, but you can change it to any of these points.

Also, get a reliable 3ms response in your software feedback loop will be entirely dependent on the speed of your computer.  If Windows decides it must allocate resources elsewhere (automatic update check, MS Word being opened, Media Player, play music), then the program CVI can certainly lag.  That's why he could miss the update of buffer, which is probably the reason why you get the error 200290. The code cannot run fast enough for all process before the depleats buffer.

The absolute best thing to use to control is one of the FPGA modules.  With them integrate you actually in the material you want your control algorithm to be.  This means that the control algorithm is all timed material, producing the best possible response times.

What rate are you inputing to the sampling frequency?  In addition, in the code you sent that you send "fFrequency * SAMPS_PER_GRID_CHANNEL" to the DAQmxCfgClkTiming function.  I wonder why you're multiplying your frequency of SAMPS_PER_GRID_CHANNEL.  The rate input parameter must be just the frequency in Hz you want items to be generated at.
