  • error code 39 drivers damaged or missing

I have an older zv5000 HP Pavillion with the 224th CD Teac DW - a/DVD RW disk in it.  After doing a full format of the system and restore by using the original cd system has worked well for about a week.  Then I tried to get the drive to install software and it wouldn't read the disc.  I checked the Device Manager and found the yellow «!»  So, I uninstalled the drive and restarted the computer.  'Found' the material 'nine', he says an error has occurred and the hardware may not work correctly.

I tried to use an external CD/DVD-RW drive, but got the same message that an error has occurred and it might not work etc.  An another Manager check for device and saw yellow "!" on the TWO CD/DVD units. Uninstalled both, but I got the same error on start up.

It seems that something corrupt or deleted ALL drivers for CD/DVD ROM.

I tried to find the drivers for the drive Teac DW 224th - has on Microsoft Download site, but unless I'm blind, or just don't know what I'm looking for, I can't find them.  Are there reliable download sites where I can download these drivers without having to worry about viruses etc?

Any suggestion would be accepted with gratitude.

Try to reinstall Windows XP and received an error of installation layout syssetup.inf.  How is it fixed?

Your CD or your CD-ROM drive is bad.  Clean your CD with warm water and a mild detergent and see if it works.  If this still does not work, or if the CD is scratched badly you have to copy the files on the hard drive and install from the copy to the "flat file".  Post again if you need help.

  • I recived the windows\system32\config\system damaged or missing error today

I got the windows\system32\config\system error damaged or missing today and do the chkdsk c:/r on it and he said: "The Volume appears to contain one or more unrecoverable problems"... is it still fixable or have I just lost my HD?

I can't do a cause of model, that I built it 2 years ago.
I run windows xp professional, service Pack3, all updates
I use spybot, avg, windows defender and malwarebytes
Caused the computer to restart 4 times and I didn't know it until it was too late cause we had electricians turning the power on/off and I didn't know my computer kept on again and restart.
I have a cdrom to work and I still have the xp cd.

Note: I tried to do a repair of windows, go to the Setup screen. But there was no repair to the screen only option how much space is free, if I wanted to install or delete a partition. I have nothing just to the left.

If chkdsk does not resolve your hard drive, then you will need in the end not completely reformat your hard drive and reinstall Windows.  Before doing so, however, you must save as much data as you can to an external USB hard drive.  If your system boots, then save as much as the hard drive will allow.  If your system does not start, then you should try to boot from a bootable CD that will support USB drives (I prefer free Linux Livecd such as Knoppix), then again until you can.

To reinstall Windows, many computers have a recovery Partition that will restore your computer to its State as purchaser which can be activated by pressing a combination of keys special at the time where the manufacturer splash screen goes back to the start.  Read quickly, find the appropriate key combination and press it to reinstall Windows - well in your case, it seems that you have an installation CD.  If the request to do a 'Quick format' or 'Regular Format', do not select Quick format.

  • Upgrade Vista to Windows 7 error: "Windows cannot copy files required for installation. The files may be damaged or missing. Error Code Ox80070017.

I am upgrading of Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit) for Windows 7 Home Premium (32 bit) - but getting stopped everytime I try, I end up with a dialog box stating: "Windows cannot copy files required for installation. The files may be damaged or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error Code Ox80070017.

What should I do to resolve this problem and allow full of Windows 7 installation? (my computer is a Compaq Presario V6000).

    Hello

What installation media you are using?

    Method 1:

Error 0 x 80070017 translates "CRC error" which means that the files that are copied from the disc are not making it to the hard drive with the same structure, which means that the 'original' the disk files are modified/changed/corrupted while being copied to the location of the 'destination' on your disk during Setup.

This usually means a bad DVD, or an error reading on the DVD player.

I suggest you follow the link and check.

Upgrade Windows Vista to Windows 7

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/help/upgrading-from-Windows-Vista-to-Windows-7?T1=tab02

    Method 2:

Temporarily disable the antivirus on the computer running software and check if you are able to install the software.

    Disable the anti-virus software

I also suggest you to follow the link and check.

Check your hard drive for errors

Important: When running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data can be lost.

I upgraded my dell E521 to Vista dimension, but now finds that none of the CD/DVD drives work.  I also tried two external drives, same thing.  I downloaded the new drivers for the internal disks and when I tried to install the windows said they already had the best drivers.  Both drives are TSST - I get device status "windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The unit may be damaged or missing. "I want to upgrade to 7, but can not run the dvd, and apparently MS has no download available if you purchase cd!  Am tearing my hair!

    Hi krt2,

In general, the error can be caused by a missing required device driver, a required binary file is damaged, if there is a problem with the process I/O file, or if a pilot that makes reference to an entry point in another binary file which can not load

You can try to uninstall and reinstall the driver for the device to solve this problem.

Step 1: Uninstall the CD/DVD driver. Follow this step to do the same thing:

    a. click the Start button, select Control Panel, click System and Maintenance and then click Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    b. expand CD-ROM/DVD-Rom drives-> right click on the device, and then click Properties.

    c. on the device properties dialog box, click the driver tab, and then click on uninstall.

    d. restart your computer.

Step 2: Reinstall the CD/DVD driver by visiting the manufacturer's Web site.

See the links below for more details on the update of drivers:

Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly

Also, read the following article and check if that helps.

  • Windows cannot copy files required for installation. The files may be damaged or missing. Error code: 0 x 80070241.

I had a lot of trouble trying to install the 64-bit version of windows 7 Home Premium on my 64-bit vista, and my question is multi-part. If it is relevant, it's my 2nd copy of windows 7 I have tried. Initially, I had the problem of not being able to run the installation on two copies with the error "'autorun.dll' could not be found or is damaged. Error code is [0x7E]. "However, I managed to get into with my 2nd copy installation after restarting my computer. Once in Setup, I got another error that stopped the installation that says "windows not could create an installation folder. Error code is 0 x 80070017. "Again, I rebooted my computer and started the installation again, this time following installation was decently through but stopped when I got the error"Windows cannot copy files required for installation. The files may be damaged or missing. Error code is 0 x 80070241. "I then backed up and restarted my computer and then tried to use the option to install custom but then got the error"E:\sources\autorun.dll is not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Try to install the program using the original media, or contact your system administrator. "coupled with the error"the file 'autorun.dll' could not be loaded or is corrupt. Error code is 0xC1"again once I restarted and tried the custom option but got the error" Windows has no load the required file WinSetup.dll.» The file is possibly corrupted. To install windows, restart the installation. Error code is 0x3E6. "I restarted my computer and tried the custom triple option more and still have the error"Windows cannot copy files required for installation. The files may be damaged or missing. Error code is 0 x 80070241. »

I understand that my problem is very complex, but it seems to be built around a missing or damaged file. Thanks if you can tell what's wrong or what to do.

  • Fatal error when "Check Destination settings" _sourceStorageInfo is missing

I am trying to capture a Dell PE2850 and get a fatal error during "Check Destination settings" in converter with installed on the machine itself or on another machine, make a capture remotely.  I have successfully captured other machines using the remote server mentioned above.

SCSI: DELL PERC 4e/Di RAID creating a "disk" as "PERC LD 0 PERCRAID SCSI disk device ' with 2 volumes. (typical Dell 12gig OS + rest as d :))

    Network: Intel PRO/1000MT

OS: 2K 3 R2 Standard with all current patches.

I tried to delete the partition of diagnosis and no dice. There are errors in the log to not be able to read the discs, but all disks listed with errors that I can tell are the CDROM / DELL DRAC virtual CDROM / Virtual card floppy, etc.

My goal is to capture this machine to the ESXi server running on a DELL P690 so I can install ESXi on this machine and move virtual machines back to her. From what I can tell I'm patched up to the latest version of ESXi on the P690 (I pushed for her update packages last week.)  Converter 4 build 146302.

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Welcome to the VMware Community Forums!

I had seen something like this when there was a USB device listed as DISK0 in disk management.  It was precisely a Dell 2850, and the error occurs just before step 3 of the wizard.

can you check and see if there is anything odd connected to this server or provide a screenshot of the overall management of the records of the 2850?
