  Hi, Jeff. Sorry to be delayed if in response, life does that (heh). In any case I have re-installed successfully all CS2 using the files provided and the advice given here. Here are my steps:

  I used the utility of Windows Vista programs and features to uninstall CS2 as much as I could, but also had to use the instructions to manually remove the CS2 that you linked to the highest. I don't have the option export everything, only saved these registry keys, I have removed according to the instructions, but it seems as if that's enough. Documentation for the registry key removal has been very specific and useful, even if I did find all the keys listed. Then, I searched and scoured my drive for remnants of CS2, found a few records with specific preferences files that I backed up in case I wanted to use them after re-installation.

  I clicked on the first (CreativeSuiteCS2Disc1.exe) downloaded .exe files, which eventually led to the opening of the CS2 installation wizard. This time through I canceled the installation at this point, because to go ahead would duplicate my previous installation attempt failed. Once the extraction is completed, I clicked on the second of the downloaded files (CreativeSuiteCS2Disc2.exe) and stressed the files extracted C:\Creative Suite CS2\Adobe Creative Suite 2.0\ - it's the location recommended in the note to the subject of the message "insert disk 2". After the closure of this extraction I then clicked on the last of the downloaded files (CreativeSuiteCS2Disc3.exe) and extract the necessary files remaining.

  After having extracted the files, I then clicked on the Setup.exe file in the C:\Creative Suite CS2\Adobe Creative Suite 2.0 and proceeds from the facility.   Reminder, the main change I made to the installation process is not to use the wizard that opens after extraction CreativeSuiteCS2Disc1.exe, extraction of CreativeSuiteCS2Disc2.exe in the appropriate directory pointer (which was created in the extraction of the first archive) and use Setup.exe. This seems to ensure that all components are installed at the same time and the new S/N is accepted by all.

  Please note that in the file PDF displayed with the files to download (CS2_install_Win.pdf), it is recommended that the option 'Install later' serve, to allow a full checkout before installation. I finally realized it was a scam when they asked Adobe and my password. And I'll still have to pat the full price of $149 to upgrade to Lightroom6. Just stick with LR4 for now.

  Update: problem solved.

  Sheena from Adobe raised the issue in question.  The Adobe ID of a member of the purchasing management of my business, which of course also managed buying and registered this copy had already been registered.  So I do not need to save it and cannot in any way.

  A suggestion to Adobe web site developers: If someone tries to enter a serial number that is already registered to someone else, the error message should say something like "this serial number is already registered.  What he says now is "Please enter a valid serial number" without explaining why the existing number is not valid, and it is easy to interpret this message saying that the serial number is not a good Photoshop serial number at all.  That's why I thought it was a problem to end Adobe rather than looking for someone within the organization who had already registered.

  (Yes, it would have also been nice if company internal communication told me who managed the purchase, and that they had already recorded this serial number.  But everyone is busy, and I do not have this information, then all I had to work with, it was the (confusing) error message).
