• How to reconfigure FDM apps to point to a different Oracle repository?

  Hi all
  
  We are in the middle of the relocation of a number of databases Oracle metadata. I wonder how to reconfigure FDM apps to point to a different database server?
  
  As far as I know, the only place to set up the database of the FDM app goes to is when you create the application. I don't see any setting in Configuration, integration, or Application settings, which stores the name of the database server.
  
  I know that you can change the configuration of the application by choosing to add an Application to the login screen and change the details of the application, but it only allows you to change the name of the Service and not the name of the database if its going from Oracle for Oracle. If I change to SQL server it allows me to specify the name of the server, but of course, this isn't what I want.
  
  Does anyone know how to do this?

  Don't know how to do this with Oracle. I think you need to change your tnsnames.ora or sqlnet.ora files to point to the different server, but I don't know what else would have to change. The Guide of DBA FDM may have the info you are looking for.

  My first question is why 11.1.2.2 and not 11.1.2.3? 11.1.2.3 seems to solve a lot of 11.1.2.2 questions.

  1. my first answer would be for a new installation because you have to use the latest OS and hardware... If you're on Hyperion 9, you must have Windows 2003 server and at least 5 years equipment, correct?

  2 check the Oracle documents

  3. There are a lot of challenges at the level of the application, but this depends on your application works. Not all users have the same apps and therefore do not have the same questions.

  4. you will need to install a 11.1.1.4 system for the upgrade of the application, but you have to move to 11.1.2.x

  6. I suggest you build a new application with a new design... just upgrade an older application will not use the last HFM/FDM modules...

  I created drill return of HFM to FDM and it works very well on the DEV. But I migrated HFM and FDM app DEV to the PRD and changed the names of the app and updated the name of FDM app as part of the application on HFM and updated the name of app HFM in the settings for the integration of FDM and also updated the FDM application name in the link set up to drill back.

  The problem is that block the URL stored in the table ERPIURL of in the HFM database contains your old application FDM name.   server_1 = server foundation with HFM, EPMA, weblogic server, Oracle HTTP server

  server_2 = Server FDM

  I have two questions / doubts as follows.

  1. in execution of FDM station configuration, when I set up configuration of load balance.

  on the application server, which sever should I choose? What server_1 and server_2?

  (if I configure with server_1 tab application server, so I am able to create FDM app but when I try to connect FDM weblogon I got this error error: an error occurred on the scoring system in. )

  Detail: Hyperion FDM Application Server server_1 is unresponsive! )

  but when I select server_2 in the application server tab, so I'm able to connect.

  can anyone explain that?

  The Application Server tab must contain your FDM application server, so in your case Server 2.  If you had more than one application of FDM server in the environment, you can specify them in the list and the load balancing server manages the traffic between the two servers, application server load balancing.

  It would have been in the installation media for the EPM system that you downloaded.  Check your location of the installation media for a FinancialDataQuality folder and it will have the adpaters it in a .zip file.

  I installed the Hyperion 11.1.2.3 with Oracle 11 g version. Installation and Configuration completed successfully.
  
  I am able to connect to Essbase, Planning, HFM. but when I try to create FDM app, I get an error message
  
  Unable to connect to the database, check the database credentials.
  
  If one is confronted with the same problem, please help me to solve this problem.

  You have added the basic data for the FDM database information in the tnsnames file, the location of the file used by EPM are defined by the TNS_ADMIN environment variable

  The adapter is not related to the mapping table. Simply import the XML adapter and then save and configure the adapter on each application server in FDM in the environment:

  (a) to connect to the application of FDM via the established customer
  (b) choose file > import and select the file FM11x-G5 - E.XML and choose 'open '.
  (c) click on "Select all" and click "Import" to import the card in the application
  (d) copy the folder "AdapterComponents" which appeared in the card .zip file in the Oraclle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\Products\FinancialDataQuality\SharedComponents directory
  (e) choose file > adapter register and choose the AdapterComponents\fdmFm11xG5E\fdmFM11xG5E.dll file and choose 'open '.
  (f) make a right click on the FM11x-G5-E adapter and choose 'configure' and enter username/password / confirm password/domain of FDM Service account and click OK. * NOTE: This is the account that was used for the configs FDM (App Server, server load balancing, tasks, Web Config Manager)
  (g) choose Tools > Application settings and change the adapter FM11x-G5-E installation Code

  You can then syncronzie the settings of the adapter from the old to the new card by right-clicking the adapter Fm11x-G5-E and choose "Synchronize" and choose the adapter FM11x-G5-C as a source and click OK to copy the settings of the new card.

  You may need to update the target periods and categories in the Control Board on the web.

  That should be all.

  My current platform is Windows Server 2003 and Oracle apps 11i db version 9i 32 bit, single node installation
  
  My question is if I install OEL 5 64-bit (single node) can then migrate to it as my current implementation is the 32-bit host operating system?
  
  Before migration (single node)
  
  Windows 2003 32-bit operating system
  32-bit Oracle Applications 11i
  32-bit Oracle 9i DB
  
  After migration (single node)
  
  OEL OS 5.5 64-bit
  32-bit Oracle Applications 11i
  Oracle 9i 64-bit DB
  
  is the above before and after are correct is feasible as my current environment is 32-bit

  OK, I got the point, then I'll go for full 32-bit we don't need multi node environment

  Once I move to 32-bit 11i applications / environment db on 32-bit OEL after if I switch to R12 at this point that I can use single node 64 bit OS OEL while seen DB as 64-bit and 32-bit applications is this right?
  such a little update is possible?

  It's just for 11i but for R12 you can have layer applications running on 64-bit (since he is certified) in addition to the 64-bit database.

  Maybe someone can help me on how to initalise the hfm objects. Do I need a different encoding? Or is the recording of the incorrect dll (where can verify this?). A strange thing is also - as soon as I restart the FDM Workbench client - library of hsxclient is no longer visible.

  If you are scripting in FDM you will use vbscript as well and if only the New keyword will certainly not work.

  To do this, I can resue the same Oracle repository for the restoration of the FDM application on newly installed instance.
  
  As far as I know, I need to make the backup of this repository then file repository and create it again and use it for the new application
  
  Please suggest, are there other ways to do this...

  Hi all. This is my first post. Anyone installed the new perspectives for the iPad? At best, I can say that it is called "Outlook for iPad" and Android.   I use Outlook for my email from work that is a business account Office 365. The only contacts in 'people' are the ones in my outlook/exchange account of the work. None of my contacts on my iPad or iPhone contacts app migrated to outlook (which I'm happy that I don't want my business and personal contacts have merged).

  No 3rd party app should be able to access contacts iOS without the user actually a permission to do, and I don't see all the settings in Outlook or iOS Outlook settings access to contacts of iOS.

  I found two products on the market that claim to be able to do this, but critics of both of them include some less then incounaging stories.  I hope that HP has developed some good software to do this, especially between their own products, or at least can recommend a reliable software.  They must be proud when a customer likes their products well enough to replace genre by genre.

  I read your message want to migrate applications from one PC to another and wanted to help.

  Sorry to disappoint you, but HP doesn't no matter what app migration software (that I know).

  However, LapLink does – in its range of PC Mover of products.  The one who moves in the apps is the Pro version.

  I know it works because I used it myself.

  The new version, Win10, has an additional feature that you can migrate applications from an Image file.

  Which means, you can make a backup of the complete picture of your old PC (and to do this, I recommend Macrium Reflect - further) a key USB or external hard drive, which will allow the new PC, install PC Mover there - and restore apps directly from the backup image.

  Macrium reflect (MR) provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or drives together.
  
  What I recommend is the following:
  (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
  (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key

  You have NOW a backup of the image of the old PC - and all of the information required by PC Mover to migrate applications to the new PC.

• Adobe Creative draw Cloud Sync

  I made the migration of creative Adobe ideas app (my favorite app ever) cloud to attract the Adobe app and works perfectly according to the instructions on the support site an instructions sent to me by e-mail. The question I have is that I can't get the Adobe app to draw to synchronize with Creative cloud moving forward.   Draw does not synchronize its projects in the same place it is synchronization of ideas to ideas sync to your main 'lines' on creative cloud (https://assets.adobe.com/files) area. However, attract sync its projects in the area of 'Mobile créations' on creative cloud (https://assets.adobe.com/assets/mobile).
