• I consolidated my files and now iTunes can't find almost 200 songs in my library

  For a long time I have been adding new songs, I have download in a folder and then add the songs in the library iTunes via file-> add a file to the library and pointing to each new song. Last week, in order to make a backup of all my songs, in accordance with the recommendation of Apple, I gathered all my files in this folder (where there were songs in other folders I don't remember). However, even if the option "keep iTunes media folder organized (up files in folders of album and artist)" was NOT checked, it is exactly what makes iTunes: it began to place my files lost in the artist/album folders it consolidated.

The only thing I can think to use SharePod program to save all the songs from my iPod to a new folder and Redo from scratch iTunes library from there, but then I would lose how my songs are displayed in the library (most recently added first), as all files would be added now at roughly the same time. I rather would not lose it.

  I suspect that iTunes has updated some of its references to point to the new locations that it would have copied files if you had not interrupted the process. See Re: files change media for advice on fixing systematically broken links. See make a split cell library for more information on the ideal organization to an iTunes library. Consolidation of copies any file outside the currently designated in the media folder and update iTunes so that it uses the new copy thereafter. Consolidated files are copied into the presentation standard of the artist and album folders that are also used for what it is torn, converted or downloaded with iTunes.

  Consolidating can only consolidate what he can find. I suspect that you tried to move things by hand which generally not well down.

  The "missing file" error occurs if the file is no longer where iTunes is expected to find. Causes possible is that you or a third-party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, one of its parents, or the reader, records it feeds has been a change in the letter of the drive or you have moved a non-portable library to a different path (see make a split cell library for more details).   I tried to move my iTunes library on an external hard drive, so that it became very big for my existing HD. I tried to group my files, but some files may not be grouped for a reason any. I got the error message "cannot copy. "The file name is not valid or too long. I ran a program that lists the files that could not be consolidated. I now have a list of unbound songs 4745. How can I get these songs to consolidate?

  You could try my ConsolidateByMovingscript. What is the path to your new media folder? Ideally, it would be something like X:\iTunes\iTunes media short where X: is the letter to an external drive. See also make a library of portable split.

  I'm not use horrible service or ignored as a client, but the way they treat the process of promotional gift card after a purchase is made must be the worst customer service experience I've had over the years... and I'm usually a fan of Dell.

  After recent purchases, I'm done with two gifts, compensation in the amount of $100 and the other $ 25.  I wanted to buy an item for $125 on the Dell site and learned during departure that they will apply only one gift card per purchase, but I could consolidate gift cards if I called it 1-800-624-9897 Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 18:00 CT only.

  On Monday, I called and waited on hold during an hour and a half before having to hang up.  Tuesday, I waited more than two hours.  Then I remembered and chose the option to leave a voice message for a return call based on the message that I would hear something "in 2 hours", but I have not received a call.  I left a second message Wednesday after an hour and did not get a call back that day there either.  I left a third message Thursday and did not receive a reminder.  Friday, I held again for a few hours and then left a message before.

  Needless to say, I do not have a reminder to a message, that I left and never got through no matter how many hours I did.  I can't believe that Dell would force customers to call to consolidate gift cards if they do not have the manpower to accept these calls.  It is the customer service terrible promise calls in two hours if the customer still waiting for 6 days later.  This purchase could already achieved and delivered now!

  I guess I'm just a customer so I'm not sure that Dell would care if they lost me or not, but I just wanted to give a warning to others even before to perform the process of consolidation of promotional gift card.  Even don't waste your time.

  I have two ACS servers.

  One is the 2.4 version and the other is the 3.0.2 version.

  My wish is to install a third ACS 4.0 server which will replace the other two.

  I had planned the following steps:

  1 - upgrade versions 2.4 (srv1) and 3.0.2 (srv2) for 3.0.4.

  2 - export using tool CSUtil configuration of these two servers data;

  3. manually consolidate all data;

  4. install the new server with the version 3.0.4.

  5 - import using CSUtil data consolidated on the new server.

  6 - update the new server after version 4.0 recommended upgrade path.

  All comments on these steps?

  Y at - it no special mechanism/tool to consolidate the configuration from two separate servers for GBA?

  We cannot export devices with csutil. What we can do is to search for devices on GUI and download a CSV of the search result.

  DBSync does not database between ACS servers synchronize. DBSync uses a csv file to add devices/users in bulk. So if we create a CSV of users and devices we can import in ACS. More info about dbsync to: -.

• Consolidation/merger 4.2 ACS servers

  Hi, we have 2 servers ACS each handling of different sets of hundreds of devices. I need to merge 2 databases (users, groups, and devices) in a third 4.2 ACS server.

  My thoughts are to make a backup of one and do a restore on the new server. Now, I need to find a way to import users, groups, and devices of the second ACS server in the new consolidated CAs. I searched and I have not found a way to import users, groups, and devices without removing the devices that have been added since the first ACS sever. Does anyone have recommendations?

  Try this. On each ACS server, run CSSupport (or support in ACS Admin page) to generate a cab package.

  If you open the booth there will be two files CSV - one for NDG and one for devices.

  Using excel you can merge these two CSVs. To find data ACS, you will need to create an account actions CSV file and deal with RDBMS synchronization.

  Action code 250 adds a NDG

  220 action code add one unit of

  Action code 252 assigns the device in NDG

  This may seem like a chore, but its largely a cut and paste exercise.

  If you regularly use RDBMS sync to add your devices this means that you will always have a file of shares of update that you can throw to another server if you wish.

  The easiest way is to download the SQL Anywhere Developer tools and ask for Cisco on the loading tables ndg and device directly from CSV files. It can be done, but I doubt they'll give you the password in its database.
