Feature of OSB with ASM managed flash_recovery_area

Is there a way to backup ASM, use of Datasets OSB file system?
Sound like our RMAN backups are located in the path: ++ BACKUPSETS/FRA/PROD +
Next, I would like to back up this path using the backup of filesystem OSB? I get an error message:

"the following problems have been detected in dataset /Level_0_FS_Bkp:14: path invalid include + BACKUPSETS/FRA/PROD include the path.

Have you created a database of the selectors of backup storage? He implemented a policy allowing to define what the media and readers to use for the backup. You can create a selector for backup storage of data base for all databases, or have several per database. You can create a policy for what go full backups of media and another for incremental backups etc. OSB will then automatically to the backup policy.

Regarding the duplication scenario, I'd do the following:

(1) create a family of supports for duplicate records IE off site
(2) create a replication strategy that defines when the tapes must be duplicated and which family of media etc. IE dup1
(3) create a schedule for duplication volume analysis
(4) create a rotation policy for how you want the band moved between sites (you must have created an office (s) where will be found tapes)
(5) create a scan of rotation schedule
(6) a partner policy of duplication with your media families original IE level0_family (note a political split may be associated with multiple media families)
(7) associate the rotation policy with the media family, that you created for your tapes off-site IE off site

Now, you'll have to management the basic strategies for the bands... so it is automated. This is described more in detail in:

    You must install (single instance or Cluster) ASM instance grid Infrastructure and you need to add the duplicate database service.
    And you can use the command DUPLICATE on RMAN.

  • Questions to integrate the pay with cash management: GB legislation

    We have recently implemented GB pay and integrate payroll with GL and cash management.

    Done installing like below-
    R12 installation steps to reconcile the Payroll Transactions in the Treasury [ID 758253.1]
    Integration of the payroll with cash management for the reconciliation of payments EFT [ID 365544.1]

    Running payroll, prepaid expenses ahead, BINS, cost, calculation of the costs of payments, transfer to the SLO. The costing and payments are transferred correctly to the SLO and work perfectly.
    But we are not able to see payments in cash management, so it is impossible to reconcile.

    Entered the bank details in the mode of payment in Payroll Organization.
    Made sure that all the steps are made of metalink above notes, but still values do not appear in the cash management.

    Am I missing any other simple step here?
    Appreciate the pointers.

  • Problem with ASM diskgroup

    Hi all

    I have 2 node RAC 11 g 2 with ASM and GNS/ANALYSIS cluster is enabled in the system of OEL 5.7 on Oracle VM 3.0.3.

    For some reason I turned off my second node for 2 days and during those days, I created
    a diskgroup. I started today node 2 and now I have problem with diskgroup (main diskgroup where I kept OCR) in node 2.
    First node works fine and everything is running.
    in the second node, I have
    "Error: PROC-26: error when accessing the physical storage error ASM. But I think that my drives everything is operational, otherwise the first node is should also have a problem.
    I already disassembled discs and dropped the new disk group.

    Below, I provide related journal.
    Please help solve this problem.

    So the purpose don't you have any ideas on this situation?
    Is this situation that's happened because I added the new diskgroup when my second node is turned off?

    Yes... I have idea about it.

    Once I did the test with ORACLE Clusterware on VMWARE. The same situation that happens when I rebooted the VM... Date and time was wrong and clusterware fails at startup.
    The reason behind it was the former configuration (date) VM take and not synchronized time of VM - RAC with host server where VM, due time synchronization has been disabled.
    CTSS does not work if the difference between the local time and the time on the reference node was too, so the "CRS-02411" error will be raised.

    CRS-02411: time synchronization services Cluster will take much time to perform the synchronization of the time as local time is significantly different from the average cluster.
    Cause: The difference between the local time and the time on the reference node was too to be synchronized over a short period.
    Action: (Optional) stop and restart the Oracle Clusterware on this node to instantly synchronize the time with the reference node.

    As you use Oracle VM, you should check how Oracle VM time synchronization is configured.

  • OSB: "MQ Queue Manager Name" customization is not possible?

    We try to use a customization file to set the "MQ queue manager name" on a MQ connection, but this property does not seem to be available for customization.

    It is not in the export of customization to create files and to 'guess' does not work either - we tried the two 'MQ queue manager name' and 'name of the MQ connection manager.

    Http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11036_01/alsb30/consolehelp/customization.html documentation seems to say that it is possible, if someone can give us a helping hand with a snippet of XML?

    Technically, there is nothing wrong in what you do. Since your log message, it seems, has already CSS configured on your system and is not in a working state.
    I would recommend, reconfiguration of the CSS.

    Complete the following as root user.

    $ORACLE_HOME/bin/localconfig delete
    $ORACLE_HOME/bin/localconfig add
    CD /etc/init.d
    . /init. CSSD run &
    crsctl check crs
    And you can check the logs for more from diagnosis to the suite.

    $ORACLE_HOME/log /<$HOST>/cssd/cssdOUT.log
    $ORACLE_HOME/log /<$HOST>/cssd/ocssd.log
    / var/log/messages / *.

  • Just as a reference: how to FIX the annoying 'White Screen Of Death"with Silverlight and"Access denied"error with computer management.

    Well, I just hope that someone who has met these two mistakes will find my dose. It might save a lot of pointless research on the net.

    SYMPTOMS:
    -When you try to open a Silverlight application in your browser (Firefox, Chrome, IE, etc), your browser displays only a white area. When you right click on the white area, you can click on the Silverlight properties.
    -If you try to start "Computer management" by clicking on the 'My Computer' icon and select 'Manage', you get the following error: 'access denied '.

    CAUSE:
    The following errors are usually the result of a bad environment variable. In this case the "windir" environment variable does not work correctly. You can try running the management of the computer to start > run and entering:
    %windir%\system32\mmc.exe/s %windir%\system32\compmgmt.msc

    Notice the between the characters of percentage windir environment variable. If you run the above code, you will probably get an error saying that MMC cannot open the file. Look closely at the path, it's back!
    You will probably find any % somewhere.

    What actually happened here is the variable windir made reference to another variable: systemroot
    Why this creates problems, I'm not sure. Also, I don't understand what made then variable windir change.

    SOLUTION:
    -From your desktop or Explorer: right-click on "My computer" and select "Properties".
    -Click on the "Advanced" tab and then click "Environment Variables".

  • Cannot activate Clip Jam with Audible Manager

    I've seen a lot of posts on the forum about the problems with Sport Clip / Clip Zip / Zip Clip + and Audible Manager.  Add Clip jam to this list.

    Until you can transfer books on the device with the Audible Manager, you're supposed to 'activate' the device.  When I try this, I get "Failed to set the activation of device data."    Other SanDisk devices have the same problem, but none of the workarounds to solve the problem for other devices work for the Jam Clip.

    Someone at - he heard of a fix or a workaround for the Jam Clip to activate with Audible Manager?

    I just got the solution of sound support.  It is similar to the solution used for the Sport Clip: the drive letter assigned by Windows for the Jam Clip must be changed by default.

    Instructions for Windows 7:

    With the Jam Clip connected to the computer, select Control Panel-> administration-> computer management tools

    In the computer management dialog box, select disk management in the left pane.

    One of the disks will be the Jam Clip.  Right-click on it and select "Change Drive Letter and paths... »

    Select the current drive letter and click on 'change... '. »

    Assign the drive B: for the Jam Clip letter (assuming that you have not already another device, for example a floppy drive)

    Under Audible Manager, in the bottom right pane, where it says 'Sansa Clip Jam', make sure that the 'Internal' option button is selected.  With the new drive letter assigned, you can then activate the device.

    I installed a server for and with Open Manage Server Essentials... discovered my network and found a lot of good servers... 1 server has a green check mark and you can see in the Data Source, it uses the administrator of the server with the Version 7.1.0. I downloaded the OMSA node in 7.4.0.2 on another server, etc. SNMP installed and the server is located with a gray question mark and the data source is an Agent of Version 2.0 of Windows Hardware... is anyone has any advice how to handle? And want to install server after the server to see it in OME centrally on a single management server...

    OK, so make sure you check out the first installation tutorial in the console of the OME.

    1. you must on the box, so 7.4 OMSA's fine.

    2. be sure that you did the necessary SNMP parameters in the box of the OMSA (services.msc, SNMP, accept any host paackets - or use the ip address).

    3. you can use the tool for troubleshooting Dell desktop OME to test SNMP connectivity to the server with OMSA on it.

    4. I think that the FAQ (delltechcenter.com/ome) contains some tips in the discovery section (3.4)?

  • Problem with Lifedrive Manager on a Machine MS Vista

    I used my Lifedrive for a long time since a MS Windows XP Home Office successfully.  This summer, I got a new laptop which has Windows Vista Home Premium.  I am able to use the Palm Desktop software and hotsync for the XP desktop and laptop of Vista.  I am, however, problems with Lifedrive Manager.  Whenever I start the laptop, I get a message that the machine could not initialize "PalmOneRemoteLibrary."  I ignored the message because I could do everything I needed up to today.  When I tried to start the LifeDrive Manager (impetus provided by a message that asked that I install my photos using LifeDrive Manager), I got the PalmOneRemoteLibrary error message.

    I realize that this machine can be a relic, but I really like it, and I did a lot of use of it.  My LifeDrive machine runs Palm OS Garnet 5.4.8.  I recently put a mass of images on the internal drive using 'Training Mode'.

    Am I correct the LifeDrive Manager is inevitably incompatible with Windows Vista, and which is the source of my problem?  Any difficulty that I could try?  Any other ideas?

    The LifeDrive Manager application, unfortunately, is not compatible with Windows Vista.  Palm said they aren't going to release a update for the abandoned PDA.  (By the way, I have a palmOne LifeDrive and always use it often.)

    To load on the LifeDrive bulk data, you have the right idea, use the Drive Mode.
