Feature of Temp T61

Hi all

Just got a used t61... had problems with the Protocol pop ups etc... made mistake by getting rid of the temp feature in the unistall section... How can I get it back... When I started using laptop I was getting temperature office pop up all the time, then I installed malwarebytes from my office software and got rid of the pop ups, which was after my lol screw... Thank you

As far as I KNOW, there are no Lenovo tool that does this (perhaps Lenovo Solution Center?).

If you want to watch your temperatures, try CoreTemp or HWMonitor.

  • A feature missing from CC Packager: choose the temp folder

When you use the conditioner of creative cloud to assemble a package, the software downloads all necessary files. But it downloads not directly to the chosen location, but somewhere on the disc of the operating system.

But I have my operating system on a 64 GB SSD, which already > 55GO is used. Thus, Packer CC doesn't have enough space to store all the files. So, I can't get a package.

IMHO the packer must use the drive/folder assigned also to temporary files, not the OS disc.

    Hi WakkerMartijn,

If you go to the Creative cloud Packer preferences where you see the signed in user. You can then change the where the default location for the cache to the application.

  • I want to delete temporary internet files. Note that I did not clear the cache. It does not work! How can I delete temporary files? Why did you take this feature? VERY frustrating that you would do that!

I'm looking for how to remove the temp int files and continue to flow upward with the nonsense of "empty the cache". This isn't what I searched. Clear the cache does NOT remove temporary files. Why do you want to take this feature here?

Firefox uses or not delete temporary internet files which use IE and a few plugins. Firefox uses the Cache if you are using Firefox on Windows, Mac OSX, Linux or some other OS.

  • Has 3.86.000 on T61 ThinkPad keyboard shortcut

Installed this version today, and the installation completed successfully. But the "Mute" button has stopped working with the new package.

Buttons 'Volume Up' and 'Volume down' has continued to work, but not the button "Mute".

I manually deleted all the features of the key shortcut and then re-installed manually previous version that I used (3.84.500). The "Mute" button returns to normal operation. Will stay with this verson, as I see nothing critical in the new package.

  • T61 cards compatible WiFi which are not Intel 4965BG

    Hi all

I was faced with a major random BSOD problem with Windows 8 x 64 and Intel WiFi 4965BG card in my FrankenPad of 7661 T61. I checked this is the driver for WiFi using WinDbg. analyze the feature.

Intel seems to not recognize the problem as many other people have reported the same issue on their forums, and there is no validated solutions.

I am considering just pulling off the WiFi card and replacing it with another model if possible as no driver hacks or the updated version solves the problem either.

Anyone know a decent non-Intel but compatible card WiFi which will work with the antenna in the T61 unit?

Considering an Atheros AR5418 can I catch an outside of ebay.

Any suggestions/help appreciated before I'll slice and cut my T61 (again).

    It get when?

    When you restart?

It appears that whenever he feels like it?

There should be no file .exe running from the Temp folder, then why don't you clean up your temporary file using the disk cleanup or CCleaner you can download here:
    http://www.Piriform.com/CCleaner

CCleaner allows you to manage most of the startup items and also do some other operations oriented cleaning.  Some people will you recommend is not to use the registry functions in CCleaner to avoid these features for now.  I have no problem with it for me, but sometimes it's a contentious issue, I prefer to avoid as much as possible!

You can uninstall CCleaner later if you don't like it.

So is looks like your system is currently or has been reached by the malware then do this:

No matter what you use for protection against malware, perform the following analyses for malware, then correct any problems:

Download, install, update and do a quick scan with these free malware detection programs (not at the same time):

    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

SAS will probably report a lot of tracking cookies and you can just let him delete them.

They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

The scans by operating clean, restart, and then fix any problems.

If you still have the problem, we can get hard with her if necessary...

  • ThinkPad t61 brightness resets

I just bought a refurbished thinkpad t61 and he took advantage of that day. Only problem is every time I have the brightness, that it will always return to the definition above whenever it restarts. I tried adjusting brightness in the power plan settings and save but it will always return to the default each time I have to start again. Is anyway to fix this?

    Hey there pszet0,

I found another thread with a question similar to yours. Its solution has been updated to four specific drivers, and the machine started to save the power plan settings. Here's a link to the page of the pilot and a list of driver does it reference. As always, make sure you back up before you start on this path. It can be the path that will lead you to find resolution.

Start here because I think it will be more likely involved:

    Power management driver

    Your display driver there

  • My Windows/temp folder fills up with 10's of thousands and many GB of tmp files worth departure when I connect to broadband.

The files are all created in C:\windows\temp\tmp0000xxxx\ and are called tmp0000yyyy. There is no file name extension and the file size is 0 KB to MB in size. They are created at a pace that can reach 100 000 per hour and take 6 GB of space per hour. It really slows the PC and a pain to deal with

First of all, there was also a perflib_perfdataxxx.dat file as well, but I find this return to a java jsq.exe file. I got rid of this help Unlocker and it was OK for a week and now she went back worse than ever. I can delete the files using cleaning, but they keep coming when I connect. I am on Windows XP and the BitDefender antivirus (recently updated for 2012) are Microsoft Security Essentials - which none has detected a virus. One other strange thing has been lately that BitDefender did not Excel files for a while because he thought he has access to the internet so I had to turn off the feature in BitDefender (sorry don't remember the name). I saw a few notes on web chat that Excel can create .tmp files

    Any help would be appreciated.

OK - off BitDefender and all seems well. Don't be that charge again! All about Microsoft Security Essentials now so I hope that's enough with the firewall.

May not be entirely incompatibility of anti-virus software, as this was happening before that I put on MSE, in a desperate attempt to find a virus.
All I can say is that on an old PC, I had Norton mess up so I ran that 4 years without antivirus and never had any problems. My opinion is that the antivirus is a scam!

Nothing in the Windows or Program Files and files their subfolders should be left alone.  You won't earn a significant amount of disk space, and you may cause to yourself untold trouble sleeping herein.  Use instead the provided Windows Disk Cleanup.  You can get to it by clicking on start-> computer, then click on the C: drive and click Properties.  On the general tab, you will see disk cleanup.  Use it and you will be safe (and not sorry).  Everything you personally placed on the computer can always be removed of course as long as you do not try to remove installed manually the software (use the programs and features in the control panel for this).

I hope this helps.  Good luck.

    Hello

    1. when exactly you receive this error message?

2 are you facing problems with aero desktop features?

Desktop Window Manager (dwm.exe) is the compositing window manager that gives you all of these pretty effects in Windows Vista: transparent windows, live thumbnails taskbar (which you can resize now) and even the selector Flip3D you can deactivate and replace with Switcher.

    Method 1:

Run the fix that he provided below and check if that helps.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/aero_effects_not_working/en-us

    Method 2:

    Step 1:

You can check if the problem occurs in safe mode.

    Check out the link:

Start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

If the problem does not occur in safe mode, you can try to disable the graphics card from the Device Manager and check.

If it works, then update the graphics card.

You can check the manufacturer's Web site and try to update the latest display drivers and check.

  • T61 upgraded to win 7 32 bit Readydrive can not be activated

I have a T61 8889 AD3, updated operating system at level 32-bit form to Win 7 32 bit vista. The foucation readydrive of Intel turbo Memory can not be enabled after the upgrade. Turbo Memory report below:

    Installed Kit: 8.9.2.1002
    Shell Version: 8.9.2.1002

Name of the operating system: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate
    OS version: 6.1.7600 Build 7600
    System name: MY - PC
    Manufacturer: LENOVO
    System model: 8889AD3
    Processor: Intel (r) Core (TM) 2 Duo CPU T7700 @ 2.40 GHz
    The version of the BIOS/Date: LENOVO 7LETC6WW (2.26), 11/05/2009

    Language: ENU

    Intel Turbo Memory

    Disk cache location:-1
    Model name: no
    Capacity: 0 GB

    Installation status: present
    File: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\iaNvStor.sys
    Version: 1.10.1.1002
    Provider of: Intel Corporation

    OROM Version: 1.10.1.1002
    OROM status: success

It seems that the readydrive highlights disk, cache because a disc hidden (in anonymous form, GB 6,17) ahead of C: drive.

I try to use the drivers for Vista, but the installation process is always altered; When I put my T61 hibernation, there is no file option of hibernation in cleaning disc as it used to be.

Does anyone have ideas for this?

Good news, my turbo memory works fine now. I reinstalled the system, but the same symptom persists, but I have to solve

    You need to know:

First of all, some people say that allowing to Hibernate will be active readydrive feature, but it doesn't seem to work on my T61 with win7. Several times in retirement, it did not help. Despite readydrive works great now, I do not see files of Hibernation in 'Disk cleanup', unlike the situation in the Vista system.

Second, please check:-> disk drivers Device Manager click on the properties of the drive, and then click strategies, you should see the two options in writing-coching lives checked; You can also see NV Cache option on the right of the policies.

Finally, once readydrive works well, you should see ' Windows ReadyDrive disk Power Savings Mode activated' under the option of hard drive of the advanced settings in Power Options.

    Following steps may help:

    Option 1:

    Download 1.10.0.1012 - 8.9.2.1002 of

    http://www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-67820

at your desk, then unzip it (do not install). Then find the setup.exe of: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\Turbomem

Click on-> run as administrator. Once the driver is installed, do not restart, and then click Intel Turbo Memory Console, then check both options. Restart

If option 1 does not help, try it please:

    Option 2:

Download the IBM link above 1.5.0.1013 - 7.8.0.1012 on you desktop.

then unzip it (do not install), then find the setup.exe of: C:\DRIVERS\VISTA\Turbomem

Make a right click-> compatibility-> check run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows Vista

Once the driver is installed, do not restart, and then click Intel Turbo Memory Console, then check both options. Restart

This driver does not work with win7 system, then you can follow option 1.

I'm not a technician and instructions above appear simple and reckless, but at least my T61 readydrive feature works correctly now.

    Good luck to you ~!

  • We can monitor Temp of TMS endpoint directly

Endpoint as C20/40 will show temp. on the State of the system.

Is is possible or will it become a roadmap to TMS to keep an eye on the temperature. change?

It is not possible - best thing would be to apply a feature through your Cisco partner or rep.
