Features of Smartphones Curve 8310 4.5 - lost blackBerry OS upgrade.

On Sunday, I ran the web update for my device to OS 4.5. Since the upgrade, I lost some features.

I can't open PDF attachments, and Microsoft Word Document new fixing/editing is non-existent.

Other things that seem to be missing are the task list/Notepad/word of past Keeper and a selection of icons that do not appear on custom L style themes.

I can do without the list of task/Notepad and password keeper, but attachment services, that I need, as well as the icons using the different themes.

As far as I know, everything has been chosen when I upgraded.

Can someone help me with this problem?

After trying the registry of the host Routing Table as described above, do a reboot of the device:

With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

Then, look at the Options > advanced > Applications. Do you see these requests described in there? Don't you see BlackBerry Attachment service, too? Don't you see that listed DocumentsToGo in there?

If you do, you have them. Just look for the icons into folders or application as the Application folder or see if you might have hidden their (Menu > show all).

Third, you can change themes (Options > themes) to see if they appear.

If still nothing, load the operating system by using the advanced features, so that you can see that ALL the applications you want are responsible.

  • Sync blackBerry smartphone Curve 8310 with outlook address book

Hi guys, I'm very new to blackberry and need your help.  Recently my company gave me a BB Curve 8310, all set up by them.  We have a BES.  My calendar and email works great.  No problems.  It's also good (round trip) sync with my outlook contacts.

My problem is with the company address book.  I was expecting when I compose an email it will go automatically pick the employees of the company when I start typing their name, as it happens on my outlook 2007.  But it's not.  All the time I have to type the full email address as [email protected].  However, it's looking for my personal contact to my contact list outlook 2007 personal.

    Help, please

If you are on a BES you have to do what is called a search. So if you're writing an email you can start typing in the name of a person. This should display a drop down menu where you can choose between 'Email ' or 'Search' If you choose search it will search for the name on the Global address book, and then you can select it. You should also have the option after he found the name to add the name of your contacts if you do not have to search for this person yet

  • BlackBerry Smartphones update Blackberry Curve 8310 and lost all data

    Help, please!

I received a text message that I needed to update my Blackberry Curve 8310 4.3 (I think).  I went to my computer and connected to blackberry.com and did the update.  The message then said that I had to update my Desktop Manager.  I've done both.  But she erased ALL my contacts and data.  No emails and worse still no address. My screen is completely different.  My Office Manager was not my old data.

It was a bad day, has laid off and now all my contacts are gone.

If someone knows a way to retrieve my contacts, I would be very grateful.

    Hallelujah!

It worked!  It's a good day, found the RPI buried on the disk and retrieved.  I must somehow be saved from a month ago.

    Thank you!!!

It of a former silver/gray Curve 8310 works very well except no text. Did a hard reboot, wiped phone, downloaded news and updates of the site Web of BB. ATT network. There is some restriction on the phone that keeps me change features, formats code or firewall. Hello and welcome to the community!

If there is a latent policy, there is only one way to remove it... and while I can't tell exactly what you hear of "hard reboot", this probably isn't the appropriate method. To check, however, see this:

    • KB30076 How to check for an it on a BlackBerry smartphone policy

And, even if it seems to result in a negative, there is perhaps a COMPUTER policy on board... 'stealth' rare, but they exist. To clean, you must do:

    • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

Of course, remember to take a backup before and after restore... but do not make big. One of the saved databases contains policy COMPUTER and, if you restore that, you'll be right where you started. On the contrary, only backup/restore these specific databases that need you, specifically avoiding those that relate to politics. You can find a complete set of instructions in the thread linked to my auto-sig on this post.

  • Music of blackBerry Smartphones with blackberry curve 8310

So I bought a used blackberry curve 8310 off ebay a few months but never changed any information that the previous owner had here other than my name and such. on the blackberry desktop manager, he still has his information, how can I update my phone to put music on it without losing all my contacts and information that I already put on here? If that makes sense

The SIM card is located under the battery, you will see a metal locking slider. The memory card is not the same as the SIM card. Make sure you align the contacts of the same side. Close the guide wire and reglissez in place.

  • BlackBerry Curve 8310 Smartphone: keys Glitching several

    Hello

Just got a phone Curve 8310 used (which is updated to the latest version of OS - 4.5.0.55) and after using it only for two days, I'm starting to meet small, but annoying glitches.

The first is (was) really no reason, several hit started acting as they should not: BlackBerry button, T, Y and a few others did not do what they are supposed to do--they acted as capital Y and after that as Yi combination of letters, which was resolved just out of battery for a few minutes and then put it back in.

The second is still there and it seems to be here to stay - every time when I write letters W, E, R, U, O, P, it saves correctly, but just after that automatically performs a pop-up that offers you to send or close the message. Every time I press the back button-, it does not have a return, but rather written "Hl" message, lol.

This happens as a composer of Message (SMS), both in the software WhatsApp (or anywhere else where I can write).

So, I was wondering - what could cause these terrible key overflows? I mean, I did something specific with it - yesterday wrote a few SMS, some WhatsApp messages and there is no such problems. Any experiences with the settings or software.

Would it be cold outside (now forrest.) For about 5-6 hours per day to about-5, temperature of-15 C) or who should not cause these problems? What can I do to get rid of these problems?

Sorry for the bad English - if something is not clear, I will try to explain better

Edit: after some time looking for the forums, I found this forum thread where some users have found that it could be the reaction of condensation in the phone. If this could be true - is there a way to prevent the phone from getting wet or pick up condensation inside?

As I suspected, the problem was with the condensate in the phone. Put and battery removed my phone on hot heater for about 15-20 minutes to dry out and now everything works fine.

Just letting you know that (at least Curve 8310) is not really like the winters of the Baltic and North - same - 10 c outside could possibly spoil things. So, be careful!

    Landry says:

I had the same error occur with DM 4.6 with my Curve 8310. I got the job of synchronization at the beginning, but it has stopped working shortly after. Once I made the debug log, I found the same error 0 x 80040107 a.\olkfolders.cpp. So I decided to create a new Outlook profile and switched DM to use instead and everything is good! Just to let you know, I couldn't even change the Configuration of the synchronization without seeing the error.

I just got the phone recently so I guess while I was trying to understand the configuration that I had made a change somewhere in Outlook or DM and that caused the errors occur. DM uninstall and delete all settings are a complete waste of time.

Create a new Outlook profile seems to be the fix for me. And like you, the uninstall has been a waste of time. Moreover, I had no joy with the edition of the Configuration of the synchronization without seeing the error.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Google Contacts Sync Curve 8310 problem

    Hi all

I managed to solve the problems that I had with the calendar synchronization, then learned recently I had no newer OS BB (4.5 as I write this) or the most recent Google (0.5.13) sync software. My carrier is ATT/Cingular in the U.S.

So I updated both and changed my blackberry because the old one was dropping calls.

The blackberry curve 8310 seems now to start the sync really well. It allows to synchronize the calendar, go to contacts, is done according to two-thirds (2/3) to the progress bar, then fails. The message is last sync failed

Please try again later, if the problem persists try sync siging and signing in.

I check under Advanced options seem to allow everything. My TCP also seems ok.

Please let me know if there are solutions or messages to help me.

    Thank you

Hello. Maybe someone out there is having problems, I had.

I solved it, or so it seems.

It has not been easy. I almost pulled my hair thought of possible solutions.

Here is what seems to make the difference:

    Uninstall the google sync application.

Clear the address book app on dektop manager (you must save it 1)

Pull the battery (wait 30 seconds, replace the battery).

    Reinstall the application.

Remove the battery (wait 30 seconds, replace the battery)

Reset the permissions. (menu, click on delivery to zero permission options)

    Then manually select "allow".

Make sure everything is set to allow

Opening of session. I used my full @gmail address.

    Reset the permissions again.

Sync. Has worked for more than 3,000 contacts.

A took a while (a long time), but the synchronization succeeded

    We'll see if it holds.

I kept refreshing the desktop during the long initial synchronization manager to ensure that the contacts were added. Don't know why my 3600 contacts on Google, only 3520 synchronized on the BB.

I hope that no one falls by the frustration that I did.

    Good luck

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Compatible with ATT Curve 8310 v4.7?

Is anyone using BB Desktop v 4.7 with the ATT Curve 8310? Problems?

Yes, thousands of users using DM 4.7 with this model curve and other institutions.

Your BlackBerry model does not determine what version of DM, you must use.

DM 4.7 is perfect for your device. Good luck.

  • BlackBerry Curve 8310 Smartphone. OS 4.5. Phone will not stay.

I have a Curve 8310. I got it for about a year. Initially, he stops and says error App, but I reset and reloaded the OS and that the problem has been resolved. Then 4 days later, the phone off again, and then rebooted on its own.

I bought 2 new batteries and a charger wall, thinking that maybe it's a battery problems.

The phone does not respond. It starts, seems to work fine, then 10 seconds later, it would have shut down, restart, initialize, then stopped again. I tried all, fully charged batteries. I upgraded the OS and also fact wipe Handheld. Sometimes I'm lucky and it stays on for about 20 minutes, but then stops again. Everything seems fine - if only the phone would be turned on.

Someone has an idea what is the problem? Is this a software problem? Or a hardware problem?

Unfortunately, my warranty is out and no insurance.

    Thanks for your help.

try to pull the sd card.

If this does not help, I'd follow the instructions... below make sure you leave the mem for procedures card

    1. uninstall the device OS you currently have in Add/Remove PROG on your PC

2 uninstall the Desktop Manager if it is not 4.7

    3. install desktop manager 4.7 If you do not already

    4. download and install a new copy of the last deviceOS

    5. remove the battery (let) and plug in USB

    6. goto c:\prog Common Files Research in motion\apploader and run loader.exe. Follow the wizard. After its done, device will reboot and you will get an error 507 on screen.

    7. pull on usb and put the battery in

8 repeat step 6, this time, you will get the error 507

See if that helps, without the memory card for a bit. If it works, put memory card back in

    hope that helps

  • Memory of blackBerry Curve 8310 for Smartphones

Thank you and I think that this place rocks!

    Hello

as far as im aware, the 8310 can only support SD. next to this, to check your available on board memory, go to Options > status. It will show you your memory in bytes, divide this number by 1024, and then THIS number by 1024 to find your data available in MBs.

Note: This does not show the available media space map
