• Request help with files of mystery on my drive C:\

  I have these files two mystery in my C:\ drive, and I would like to know what they are and if they are essential to my system.  If this isn't the case, I want to delete them.  I will list below and hope someone has an idea what they are, because if I had known what they were I would be more comfortable with having them on here if they are essential and happier if I could delete them if they can be removed without harming my computer.

  C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Presets\Brushes

  If I'm not mistaken, simply drag and drop. You probably have to restart PS once the file is there.

• zip files of mystery that I can't get rid of

  I'm used to be able to right click on my desktop and open a new file.  now all of a sudden when I try I get a compressed (zipped) folder that, no matter what I do in the properties, I can not access or get rid of.  How to bring back my old normal files?

  Compressed (zipped) folder should be one of the options, but you are missing the new folder.

• PDF files mysteriously converted to the word without human interface!

  I woke up this morning my computer to find that ALL my PDF files have mysteriously been converted into Word documents - others are just not there at all.  I can't convert Word to PDF.  As much as I know I haven't all the parameters that would entail.   I am also getting notes "check with the administrator.  I rebooted, I tried a system restore, and I deleted and reloaded Adobe 9.3 I can now see documents PDF if I drop them in the Adobe box on my desk, however when I try to save them, continue to be registered as Word.  Can someone help me?  Please...

  The method is similar in different operating systems, but the differences are small. Basically, you right (click with the right button of your mouse), click the icon of one of the files you know there must be a PDF file, choose Properties in the new window. In general, then click on the button of change with eyes Open with, choose the Player in the popdown menu. Be sure to check the always use this program for files of this type. Please note that the texts my different being that my Windows is in Spanish and I have written are the translations of what I see on my screen.

• Recovering files TDMS with DIAdem connectivity library

  I was in the situation where my application dies and I have unsaved TDMS files. I need to recover the data in them.

  The logic of file is mysterious. For a file, I have three: *. PDM, *. TDMS_Index and *. TDMS ~. The last one is always the largest, so I suspect it's my data, as well as scaffolding maybe.   As far as I understand, looking for ways to to export and import your brushes.

  Here are the steps:

  • Go to the window menu in Photoshop > choose Manager of Preset
  • Select all brushes > click on Save Set > choose the location where you want to save this file brush
  • The tasks that you want to
  • Again go to the preset manager > choose Load > select this brush file that you saved earlier and it would load your brushes.

  I doubt it.  You can have a LOT of brush sets, and each set can contain a LOT of brushes.  You would only take charge a little at a time.

  I have a lot of files brush, and to make life easier, I rename them with meaningful names so that they appear in a logical order.  I follow enough of the file name to identify the source of good.

• Brushes don't is not loading

  I'm under PsCC2015.  I downloaded the brush 2-third party packages.  I moved the brush files in the presets > file brushes in the folder App Ps on my MBP.  When I try to 'load brushes', I chose the file but it's not download brushes.  I tried at least ten times.  No error box appear, they don't just charge.  I even tried to go to the Preset Manager under edit.  Still nothing.

  Looks like you save in a color space such as ProPhotoRGB, that do not support most web and mobile devices. To do this, you will need to save color sRGB space.

  Many people work and save RGB and only use CMYK when you print.

• Brush double adjustment

  Hello

  I'm going through old custom brushes, and many of them have the choice of "double brush" checked on in the Panel "brush".

  As I understand it, you have:

  Your current peset brush

  and then the 'double' brush is checked, so basically there are 2 brushes overlap eachother.

  What I'm trying to do is to turn off the 'current' brush, leaving only the "brush double" selected. I hope this makes sense.

  At the very least, I would try to find a way to identify what name of the brush double is and perhaps identify what brush set belongs to. I know that if you pass the ontop of the cursor of the vignette Lud of brush on the right side of the Panel brush, that a ToolTip is displayed, giving you his name. But this does not allow you to select this brush, and it does not tell you what file brush it comes. I really need to find a way to actually select. Without file brush knowingwhat's that there seems to be no way to access this special double brush.

  Anyone know if there is a way to know that?

  In CC 2014 so I just highlight double brush (of a brush using double-headed brush) in the list of features of brush in the Panel forms, I can see the second brush, with a blue square end around, in terms of brush tip.  If you then select the brush tip shape title, with double brush not selected, you can see the main brush in map of brush with a blue square around it...

  Who may be reading - please advice!

  I had a few panic kernel last week:

  -kernel panic started using photoshop lighroom cc

  -Restart computer, panic came 20 minutes later

  -computer restarted, did not use any design programs or photo, panic took place 10 minutes later

  -connected temporarily separated I have that has no file - well just to check email, watch movies

  -restarted the safe mode and saved all my valuable info to my external hard drive

  -checked the material through computer test = all very well

  -re-installed the OS form scratch and re-installed programs.  Have stayed on El capitan and did not improve with Sierra still.

  -panic happened once when I tried to use a cc design program.  Used CS6 version and it was very good.

  -panic occurred when I tried to open my library lighroom. Installed LIghroom Cs5 (old version) and started a new library - has worked

  -use of regular program is very well: e-mail, web surfing, viewing

  -last night worked on lightroom for a good 45 min - 1 h, and then passed to photoshop cs6 for 20 min - computer has a different kernel panic

  -just today, I worked on illustrator cs6 for 30 min and the computer has a different kernel panic.

  looking at the reports, most of them joined kernel_task

  I7 clocked at 2.6 GHz, DDR3 8 GB 1600 MHz RAM

  I watched the last report and it wouldn't let me post because of "caractΦres" (don't know where)

• Cannot free up disk space on drive c.

  I have an older version of Windows XP on my computer and despite the use of the function of disk cleanup, add/remove programs functions and Windows components, so to try to defragment the computer, I receive the message that the computer is low disk space.  I took all the programs that I don't use and attempted to take off from documents unnecessary, games, etc., as well, but when I check the C: drive on the 'Properties' tab, it shows almost the entire hard drive used.  I do not know what but because I even do not play a lot of games on it, have images or music programs and I can't understand what is on the hard drive of the computer.  If it of the adware or spyware, I can not say because when I tried to install an adware/spyware detector, he cannot do that because there is not enough disk space!  Obviously, something takes all the space, but how I tell me what it is and more important still, how do I get my computer?  Thank you.

  I have this problem as well, and the question is larger than what these people are saying. If you open the folder and ctrl + a to select all, then go to properties, it will show that the contents of the folder is only about 5 or 6 concerts, 7 on it. the other 60 + concerts which takes the file are mysteriously non-existent. I have no idea what is causing this problem, but I can promise you that no amount of deletion it will manage because the memory is not be overtaken by what is actually stored on your computer.

  It sounds like you're looking in a directory (folder) that includes hidden files and hidden folders.  What is the name of the "folder" you are watching?

  While you have the mystery open in Windows Explorer, click Tools > Folder Options.  Select the view tab.  Scroll down and select the option "Show the hidden files and folders" and uncheck the box (a little further down) to "Hide protected operating system files."  Click OK.

  I suggest that you cancel the above changes when you are finished.

  If you still can't find the missing stuff, download and run JDiskReport.  This will show you what takes up space on your hard drive.

• How to recover Windows Journal?

  I recently bought a laptop. It is pre-loaded with Vista Home Premium, and many other goodies including a program called Windows Journal.

  I've even more recently updated for Win 7 Home Premium. While remaining in Vista, my copy of Windows Journal (under Program Files) has mysteriously disappeared. I thought that the upgrade would restore it, but it didn't.

  I don't know why it disappeared in the first place, but I was wondering if there is a way for me to get it back?
