File corrupted on the restore disc.

My restore disk has a corrupted file. The file is ISSetup.dll. It is Macrovision and version 12.0.0.58851. I don't particularly want to buy a new set of disks, if anyone has this version of the file that they could email me? It is of my HP Pavilion Slimline S3431.uk. The exact location of the file is D:\hp\apps\APP11568\src.

Thanks for your help.

Chris

I hope that you don't have to pay for the record

Since that she may not have properly burn the disc

correctly

but the creation of restore disks is a time

burning and good for making copies

and even if isn't properly without you probably burn

know that the rest is bad too

but once you get the restore disc sent to

make you a copy for insurance

and you mine to give a scenario

My cat scratched the OS disk and

to reinstall was unnecessary and

has no luck with it, but now with these

Windows disk is protected against copying I doubt

You can make a backup copy

but once you've made a copy of the restore disk

and place your original in a course

    Hello

There are several methods to reinstall Vista.

    See which way suits you.

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.

Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.

If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

So if you're in C:\Windows\System32 > then you will need to look in that folder for the file.

You can read the newspaper/txt files easier if you right click on Notepad or Wordpad then RUN AS ADMIN - then

(You may need to search sfcdetails.txt if it is not created in the default folders.)

  • Tecra A9 - F key which activates the restore disc?

I need a reinstallation of Vista on my Toshiba Tecra A9 and I made one before, but forgot which key F active restore disks.

I tried all, but don't see anything that I recognize. For example, I found the BIOS, and I see under F8 'restore your computer' and Modus without danger, but not choice either for formatting and installation by CD-ROM.

    Hello!

Please wait a moment: you have already reinstalled Vista but now you want to do a fresh install again?
And what drive did you use to reinstall Vista?

If you created the recovery disc Toshiba you only have to boot from it and follow the instructions on the screen. Then you come back to factory settings.
But you can also restore factory settings if you use HARD drive recovery option, but this is only available if the original Toshiba Vista is still installed. So if you have installed Vista using a disc of Microsoft you can t use this option.
Normally, you can start recovery disc option HARD on European laptops if you go into the advanced boot menu if you press F8, and then select Repair my computer. Then, it takes time and a new screen appears where you can choose the Toshiba Recovery option.

Moreover, what Tecra A9 you have exactly? What is the code of PTSxxx on the lower side?

    Good bye

  • Deleting the files corrupted in the recycled folder

I am running Windows XP and I have tried to run the defrag program.  The program will not work until the end because of corrupted files (4) in the recycled folder.  I can view the list of files by going to the command prompt, but no action that I have tried there will allow me to delete these files.  How can I delete these files in the recycled folder?

You have left out some important information and may not have read material thread the Tom very carefully.

Represents the drive on which this basket located in NTFS or FAT32 format?

On NTFS, XP drives, the name of the file from the Recycle Bin is DRIVE: \Recycler

On the FAT, XP drives, the name of the file from the Recycle Bin is DRIVE: \Recycled

(The name change again in Vista and Win 7, but you said you have XP)

If the drive is NTFS, it was converted to FAT32 or formatted directly?

If you used the CONVERT command to convert a drive to the FAT format on a disk formatted in NTFS, you will always have the directory drive: \Recycled old, but he is no longer the basket.  If this is the case, you can delete the whole directory (if ensure that a directory C:\Recycler exist, just in case) using rmdir /s in a command prompt window.

You can read all documents under the "basket" at http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_abc.htm

There are several methods to remove otherwise undeleteable files.  In ascending order of the drawbacks:

    Method 1
Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK)
Type the following commands in the command prompt window and press ENTER after each line

    CD C:\Recycled
    ATTRIB s h - r *. *
    Del *. *

If the last command was NOT successful, then

    Method 2
1 always open method command prompt window, start the Task Manager
Find explorer.exe in the processes list, right-click and select end process
Return to the command prompt window and see if del *. * will now delete the files
If the files are deleted, return to the Task Manager, click on file > new task (run...), type explorer.exe, and then click OK.

If the files still do not remove, then

    Method 3
Redemarrer restart in Safe Mode, and then follow the steps in method 1

If the files still do not remove, then

    Method 4
Download the iso file to a live Linux such as Knoppixdistribution.
Burn a CD using a tool like the free ImgBurn
Boot from the CD (you may need to change the boot order in your BIOS)
    Remove files from Linux

  • can ocr and vote files resident on the same disc?

    Hello

    We use 11.2.0.3 on linux.

When I created OCRVOTE diskgroup with 5 raw disks, oracle created default 3 discs with right of vote and rest 2 discs to keep the OCR files.

But when I created OCRVOTE diskgroup with 5 raw disks, I have found that all 3 disks are votingdisks and OCR, also located in the same diskgroup.

How can it be possible? That is to say, is it possible for OCR files be placed disks marked as voting disk?

    Kind regards

    Hello

Check: RAC: frequently asked Questions (Doc ID 220970.1)

How the registry of Cluster Oracle (OCR) is retained when using ASM?

    https://support.Oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocContentDisplay?ID=220970.1

    > Oracle instructor is to show that scopes are spread over only 2 discs among the 8 discs.

    As far as I understand:

What Oracle instructor shows an example of how is stored the mirror of the measure where OCR has been stored, it has used a simple example with only 2 measure showing a measure and a mirror of measure on different failgroup, does not mean wich used only OCR 2 measure or use only 2 asmdisk.

In this case, Oracle will use all failgroups placing a (primary) measure in each failgroup and store a copy of the measure (mirror) in a different failgroup.

Concerns about redundancy (that was the point):

Votedisk you have a right to vote in each asmdisk.

OCR store using a diskgroup redundancy with normal you have a measure mirrored in a different failgroup. (she)

How to measure Oracle Store OCR?

She spread file OCR on all disks if ASM Diskgroup configuration allows do.

If you have an OCR with 300 MB and store you it in a Diskgroup with external redundancy using 1 MB AU_SIZE and the size of the measure is 1 MB ASM spreads extended across all the disks in the Diskgroup storing bodies in all the balancing asmdisk.

But we should consider the OCR file size and configuration of the ASM Diskgroup

The ASM file content is stored in a disk group as a set or collection, extensions of data that are stored on individual disks in disk groups. Each extension resides on an individual disk. Extensions are made up of one or more allocation units (to THE).

When you create a disk group, you can set the Oracle ASM with A unit allocation size U_SIZE disc of the group attribute. The values can be 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 or 64 MB

Therefore, if you create an external redundancy diskgroup with 8 ASMDISK using 64 MB AU_SIZE, EXTENT_SIZE is 64 MB and size of 100 MB Oracle will use OCR only two ASMDISK using 2 scope of 64 (128 MB) does not matter if you have 8 DISKS ASM.

You will not be able to use the disks to restore this computer because the defective Board you thrown had a tattoo to warn the disks that the MB was the original material. The disks now think you are trying to install windows on another computer. Which, technically, you are.

To solve this problem you will need to either:

    (A) order the systemboard directly from hp if available

    (B) a copy of the operating system you want to install the retail
