file .mov to give me a "the file you have specified in invalid or incorrect.  Be sure to specify a valid file.

I am a new user to Captivate 8 (7 used for about the last 6 months) and am trying to use my first video in a module.  The interface makes it look pretty easy: when I use the 'media' on the top icon, or if I go to video>insert video, I get a pop very simple dialog box "insert video".  If I use 'event' or "Video Multi-Slide-synchronized", I get the same error.  I'm just browsing through the film which is on my desk and I get the error that I show above.

I don't see any other options, and I can't find a lot of documentation more about these options (though I doubt it would help).  I guess that the problem must be the video files, but they are pulled directly from my phone and sent to my office.  Standard .mov files.  Capt8 said that he supports .mov, so I'm lost.  Any thoughts?

Thank you

Carl

I've never had trouble with .mov files myself, but you can always try to re - encode the movie to a different format. HandBrake is a simple free software that lets you do that, and I don't know that there are other institutions.
