• Chinese Spam mail in Icloud-mail is driving me crazy!

  Hi all

  I get mail Chinese spam on my icloud email account on a daily basis, often several times a day. I always get an email with all the Chinese symbols that is followed by another mail that contains both Chinese symbols. The other also has some Latin letters in and says: "RE-IPAD2" to his subject.

  Any idea on how to block or to report these e-mails?

  It is not the first time that I have problems with the spam mails on my icloud account. The last time he always somehow resolved itself after a few days. But this time it seems not to stop and the emails become more intrusive.

  It seems to be a big security problem in icloud. Never had this problem with Googlemail.

  The only thing I know that you can do is mark as junk, it always goes to this mailbox. I found that by selecting unsubscribe at the bottom of the mail header so that mail generally does not stop them from coming. Finally, some of them will stop on their own.

  Windows Live Mail has its own Junk e-mail filter. I'm fairly certain that it's never been updated automatically. My current is the one that was installed in the first version of WLMail 2011 more than a year ago. The product team have over the years repeatedly promised that the automatic updates would be completed, but it is yet to my knowledge.

  I have problems with the loading of these two updates on my computer.  Whenever I try, I get an "update failed" notice.

  These are the two only updates with that never got hurt.  I have a notebook hp compaq with Windows Vista.

  Flawed updates or am I doing something wrong or need to change a setting somewhere?

• MS Outlook 2003 filter junk e-mail - error Code 646

  Windows Update keeps saying I have a critical update to install - KB977840 - MS Office Outlook 2003 Junk e-mail filter. However, whenever I try to download it and install it, I get error code (646). I tried to do 13 times now and each time, not luck. I'm getting a little frustrated with this download. Apparently, it worked well in the 2008-12-08 when I installed the latest update of the junk e-mail filter. It does not work now. Any suggestions?

• Spam mail junk or not?

  Received an email in my Inbox of Microsoft (Spam hunters) wondering whether or not it is Spam/Junk e-mail?

  I always thought that Microsoft verifies our installations of windows during as authentic updates before proceeding with any update.  I was never asked to provide personal information about any account.

  Pure spam. Microsoft does not contact the owners of Windows machines, if not because he keeps no records on their name, location and E-mail address.

  Mean loads of junk email the very - 100 + per day.

  Is not a problem with Outlook 2003 on my PC, because they are filtered to the Junk folder.

  They go on my "BOLD" of Orange so can I put it to the same kind of thing as Outlook done or is this a case of keeping on delete them manually?

  Can set filters individual word to my ISP, but it doesn't seem to be a common feature of each message to filter them by this way.

  The best way is to filter spam at the level of your email server.

  You can set filters by keywords on your login data as service BIS, but it's difficult, too.

  There is a spam on the device filter I know of Antair. Check it out.

• Filter junk e-mail in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 (KB976884) fails with the error Code 1603 (or 1402) in Windows logs when using Windows Update in Windows 7

  It's more for info, but it would be great if MS past this info to their developers so that the Windows broken for KB976884 update package can be fixed.

  Newspapers MSI mentioned above show the following error information, all related to being too restrictive registry permissions.  Perhaps the restrictive registry permissions are design due to the product; in which case the update package must be fixed.

  Here are the logs in order, that they do not have:

  1. Error 1402.Setup cannot open the UNKNOWN\Components\1FA18F7974E099CD0AF18C3B9B1A1EE8\00002119E20000000000000000F01FEC registry key.  Make sure you have sufficient permissions to access the registry or contact the Support Services technical Microsoft (PSS) for help.  For more information about how to contact PSS, seePSS10R.CHM.

  Resolve open Regedit and search on the first GUID after components.  The full registry path you are looking for is "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-1-5-18\Components\.

  Don't find the GUID "00002119E20000000000000000F01FEC" as there are hundreds of entries and you will be forever.

  For example, in find point 5 '6F949E36CB3004C50AF18C3B9B1A1EE8' you will see that the key has void key and one of these sub keys will be '00002119E20000000000000000F01FEC '.  When you select '00002119E20000000000000000F01FEC' you will see you get "access denied".

  First STEP: right-click on the "00002119E20000000000000000F01FEC" subkey and select "permissions".  Windows will tell you that you can view this subkey.  Click on the "Advanced" button and click the group to select the 'administrators' tab 'Property' under ' to a change in ownership: "& check the 'Replace owner of subcontainers and objects' option click on 'APPLY '.  If you click on 'OK', you will get access denied.

  STEP 2: select the "permissions" tab and make sure that both the "Include permissions can be inherited from parents of the object" & "Replace all permissions of child object with permissions inheritable from this object" options are checked.  Click 'APPLY '.  Do not click on 'OK' you will get "Access denied" yet

  Repeat the steps for each GUID registry and then try and install the update via Windows Update.

  Whenever you see an error in the update Windowsw it generates an error log and stores it in the Temp of Windows folder, normally located in C:\Windows\Temp.  Sort by date to get the last newspaper at the top.

  The error logs are normally preceded by MSI in the form MSIxxxxx.LOG.

  I hope this works if you can not get rid of this error, but I would have preferred that ms fixed properly!

• How do I reopen account Hotmail which was closed due to spam mailing worm.

  Account has been closed for almost a week - incredibly frustrating because no help from MS was provided. An answering machine of MS requested information that when I answered, was sent to a site "unguarded". It is no help whatsoever.
