  When I reached a dashboard page where all the portlets using this data source, the record filter is applied as expected. However, for negative refinement filter, so that it appears in the portlet of the breadcrumb, it has no effect on the data set. Guided navigation always displays the value as a dimension as possible and I can see in my table of results as the data was not deleted by the negative refinement filter. I tried to restart Tomcat, without effect.
  If I go to the guided navigation and define negatively this value on the dimension of the COMPANY, the data gets filtered and I get 2 negative improvements will appear in the navigation bar to the same value (!)
  
  Is there something escapes me to configure negative refining filter?

  Your configuration is correct.

  I see two possible problems, but we are really just shooting in the dark:

  (1) "rogue whitespace.
  -If your value is not actually "PROMO" "PROMO", then your filter would not exclude anything. This would also explain why you might then add a negative refinement for the "real value". To validate this, use a browser with some debugging functions (i.e., Chrome), have your applied by default negative refinement and then "apply manually" in Studio.

  And then open the browser debug mode (chrome, right click on the value you just added and click 'Inspect element'). If all goes well, the HTML code will show a little differently, and you can see the white space in the manually added refinement.

  (2) it would happen to be a managed attribute? I think that the managed attribute values can have display names and real names and real name should be used for filtering purposes. I doubt that's the problem, but it's the only other thing I could think of...

  Hi, I am new to timesten and databases in general, and I'm testing the database timesten to test.
  
  I am running ubuntu linux in virtualbox and have java 6 is installed. So far, I installed the timesten database and configured the sys.odbc.ini to create a new database. However, it seems that I can't connect to a database.

  A data store active TimesTen consists of a single shared memory segment allocated from o/s. The size of this segment is PermSize + TempSize + LogBufMB + ~ 20 MB. This allowance will not allow the o/s unless the 'package' kernel parameter has a value greater than the requested size of the segment. According to the Guide of Installation TimesTen, you set various parameters of the kernel on the appropriate values (memory shared, semaphores, etc.).

  We you write an app that will allow the user to take a picture of a document and enter a few bits of information about the document and then send it to our server. It is a mobile extension to a larger system of document management to back office we develop in-house so the intention of this BB app is not not to distribute to the masses.

  What is the most practical approach to transmit data and images captured on our server?

  -FTP - fooled with it some and a pain

  -WebService - did not attempt

  -Send an email with the picture attached - seems to work very well

  Is there another approach, should I consider?

  If you do not already things that communicates to the Server backend, e-mail is probably the easiest way.  Crosses all the issues of the segmentation of the image that you would have to do with the Web Service or FTP.

  There is no way to do it directly from Eloqua. Segments will allow you only to view Contact data, and there is no equivalent way to custom segment object stores the data. To generate this list, you will need to export all history of purchase of your custom object records and then cross the two lists to identify records of custom object related to the Contacts in your industry to export all the contacts from your Segment view.

  You can achieve this condition with different method some on ODI 12 c.

  1. you can use the temporary Interface (Interface yellow) to create queries to subselect. After that, simply filter your structured data. This link will help you how to use interface temp;  http://oracledataintegratorcommunity.blogspot.com.tr/2013/04/create-temporary-interface-in-Oracle.html

  2 table key and subquery (in this example ra_batch_sources_all and ra_customer_trx_all) will join the left external method in the source data store using the column filtring (ra_customer_trx_all.batch_source_id = ra_batch_sources_all.batch_source_id). After that, in the target data store, you can add a new column called "flg", and if a record in ra_customer_trx_all but not in the ra_batch_sources_all, flg '1' value, in case contrary flg value to '0 '.

  After map columns of target data store, you can filter the "flg" column using flg = 1 condition. This result is even above solution.

  3. This is the last solution, you can use hard-coded the filtering in the source data store.

  My understanding of security filters for the Types of Plan of ASO in 11.1.2.3, is that they are not as robust as Types of Plan of traditional BSO are. Is this true? If so, can I restrict access to users who are assigned to the ASO Plan Type to display only and read/write on the private accounts and entities (for example)?

  The limitation that you refer is a bit confusing.  In summary, the planning will not create Essbase security filters on a data base of the ASO.  However, this does NOT mean that you will not have security on the Type of Plan of ASO.  Instead, it depends on which tool you are using to access the Type of Plan of ASO.

  If you want to connect to the ASO Plan type planning or tool (e.g., EN) with a connection to planning, you'll be fine.  The planning gets its security filters Essbase security information.  It gets its information from the relational repository security.  So the planning and the EN (with a connection to planning) are supported.  Security works as you would expect, even for the Type of Plan of ASO.

  If you want to connect on the type of Plan of ASO with something that requires a * Essbase * (not planning) connection, it only is not supported out-of-the-box, because planning will not create filters on the ASO cube (at least not yet in this version).  However, there is nothing that prevents you from creating filters on your own.  I usually manage all of my safety in an Excel/VBA model that allows me to export/import the Essbase security planning and.  This allows me to apply specific to Essbase filters after a refresh (by importing the custom filters via MaxL).

  So the question is... what tool you will use to access the Type of Plan of ASO?  If you use a connection of planning, you're good.  If you use a connection of Essbase, should be a personalized approach.

  Simple thing is cast to date and use, simply go by date without taking account of the time.

  I have a storage which will host an instance of Oracle data files. The RAID should be configured and for this, my colleague needs set the segment size. Its options are 16 k, 32 k, 64 k.
  The db Oracle will essentially the size of block 8 k value. The oracle block size must be synchronized with the size of the minimum of 16 k segment?
  How this change may affect performance?

  It is a common requirement / query. Basically if you have the GG data capture for a database, you want to capture everything you pourriez have need, including in the future, rather than get everything what you know that you need today. So, Yes, all enter (or rather do not filter for free) and send everything to the staging area. Next week you many have another client (or a change in the rules) seeking additional data. If you are already captures the data, you don't have to change your configuration to get the additional tables, lines or columns & return to the source. Yes, it takes a little extra (temporary) storage space, but disk and bandwidth are (usually) cheaper that the development effort, no matter how much effort it really is. (Many data stores, to much more time to do the "paperwork" to make changes on the server of DB as the time it would take to make real change. This type of proactive policy ('capture in case we need") prevents this).
