Final cut pro - add 1 photo 5GBs?
I know this must sound crazy, as it does not make much sense to me.
I'm finishing a project with about 5 GB of disk space on my computer. I add a simple image to sit in the left corner of my video (which lasts 8 minutes). Whenever I have add the photo, it begins rendering and takes a long time. Then, he proceeds to take at least 5 GB then will not render that my computer is full!
What is going on?

So FCPX must make a new rendering of the 14,400 frames, which amounts to ~29.8 billion pixels...
Perhaps, leaving just 5 GB free for internal processes is no good plan
golden rule: keep 15% of the free capacity on the disc...

Is there a program for Windows such as Final Cut Pro for Mac?
Hey guys, I was just wondering if Windows had an editing software, like the Mac does with it's Final Cut Pro, which allows me actually add and move images on the film plays in the background (Ergo you can have photos and movies playing at the same time and have photos take not whole screen but can be placed and sized anywhere). I know for a fact that this isn't an option with Movie Maker and I just got Adobe Premiere and it doesn't seem allow you to do that. Are their options for Windows?

Try to leave FCPX and then start iTunes and startingFCPX. It has been a while, but this solves similar questions in the past to see music from itunes.
You can manually add folders in the music browser by dragging them.

Video is lagging / choppy on Final Cut Pro reading but the audio is perfect

So I am using FCP for 2 weeks or more and I have been editing videos without problem but today something super odd happened. After editing as I like, I saw the video and it's suuuuuper laggy/choppy but the sound was perfect (in quality and timing). When I stop the video for a few seconds, although the video can be synchronized back but then return to be lag after a few seconds. I tried exporting it in the hope that maybe once it has exported it's going to work, but not luck. The entire video is not even to export. The video is about 4 minutes would export long and only 01:30. I am really confused and frustrated and hope someone can help!
Also, I imported the original footage on an external hard drive if my computer would have more space. Not sure if that makes a difference, but I thought I should add that just in case.

Theres not enough info here to diagnose the problem. The issue started when you copied data to another drive? In general, you want the media on a single disc and the application on another.
Maybe car ram speed, maybe, I don't know what the requirements of the FCP are but check here:

Delete the application preference files by pressing the command and option keys when you start. It will open to a new empty library. import a HD resolution clip and add it to a test project. You can export some?

Can I capture with Final Cut Pro and edit in Premiere Pro?
Because it appears first has problems with capture - at least for me, but as I see it for others as well - and I can capture with iMovie, I take it with Final Cut Pro for capture - cross for Adobe Premiere and the suite for editing, then finalized? Or is it a problem to copy the photos/files from one program to the other (they would be clearly identified if I could just import first shots later?)

Hi Rob,
When you are capturing HDV into FCP, it creates a specific Apple HDV codec. It is a codec that is not available unless the FCC, movement or compressor is installed.
Two solutions of workaround would be to use Premiere Pro on Mac with above mentioned applications on the same system or convert a codec which can be read in first.

Export a Final Cut Pro XML file problem any translation problem
When I export the XML pro final cut, there is always a problem of translation like this "Transition... not translated, chained <>used instead."
Most of type transition can cause translation problems, except the wipe and cross dissolve.
Is there any body know the reason? Is it OK?

I work for a long time with Adobe products and generally when you encounter an error that has nothing to with an XML file export problem its due to such things as the effects you may have added in, color correction, bland Crusaders or any type of video transitions between clips. Don't forget that your workflow must be
Import your videos into Premiere Pro
Name your clips (help to find things later)
Place the clips on the timeline in the order you want (DO CUP that DO not add anything, transitions effects color nothing)
Then once all of your clips are placed on the timeline in your voucher order you then EXPORT > Final Cut Pro XMLNow you can put this in other programs for adjustment of colors, or whatever it is you do. You will find there is no error on export.
Once your fact is do what you do for the clips in another program (for example: the Divinci Resolve color adjustment) you can then export to your main project, and then add your effects and transitions.

If you plan to spend in FCP7, FCPX, Avid or another edition of Premiere Pro CS6 program, there are SEVERAL good reasons to do so, HOWEVER, if you deal with the edition of several cameras (multicam) so you think twice, until this problem is resolved.
How to edit in Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 multicam? What is the best program editing for mulitcam or multiple camera editing? - The answer, as long as the question below is fixed, isn't Adobe Premiere Pro! From CS6 (version 6.0.2), this lack of 'design' or the 'weirdness' described below, multicam editing is very difficult and inefficient in Premiere Pro. These first two issues above are what I searched Google in hopes of a solution to a problem plaguing Adobe Premiere Pro for years, literally. Unfortunately, in the new Premiere CS6, with so many other great innovations, the question remains still makes it very difficult to do an editing multicam compared to Final Cut Pro 7, Avid, Sony Vegas, FCPX, etc.. They all handle editing multicamera in different ways but, having recently passed away from FCP7, and has worked on several modifications mulitcam, Premiere Pro CS6 (and CS5 and CS5.5) has serious problems with the multicam function that is broken right now (version 6.0.2) in first CS6 and fact editing multicam VERY frustrating experience and a lot less effective compared to the other NLE. If it's a drawing, then its imperfect as Yes, you can work around it and difficulty about what you did, but why so you have to keep wasting time precious 'fixing' in such things? All is not supposed.

Make cuts and put the angles on you when you simply to pause or stop playback is a huge problem of having your editing program. If this were happening in the normal timeline, so I'm guessing it would have been fixed, but it has not been fixed and it causes the editor to have to go back and remove unintended cuts and back shots where they should be. The PAUSE button should only SUSPEND or STOP playback, as it does in other programs. But in the first he stops, make a cut in your timeline and then switches to the first angle or shot you started with if you want or not. There is no way to prevent this at the moment on CS6. The other thread that talks about the question refers to the fact that the "question doesn't have the numbers" to make it a priority to be fixed and there are other "larger issues" that need to be corrected first, which makes me wonder if Adobe really listen to the comments of the user. I doubt it. Its a defaultdesign. I feel strange asking the feature 'Please take the pause break button' or 'Please make the stop button to stop playback. Looks like its brokenness, to me.
If the robot multicam is a major objective for the team Adobe Premiere, go ahead, which I think it is, then please start by making even the basic works work as one would expect to BREAK = PAUSE. STOP = STOP. Phew! It was difficult. Fact. Fixed. Travel! Currently, this design is counterproductive, not intuitive, helps no one and only lost valuable time while the Publisher must quickly "solve" the problem.
Well, I thought I'd do two things here:
(1) start a thread with as many keywords as possible so that this "numbers" question in this forum and in Google searches. I hope that soon when you google 'First multicam Pro' this will be the first topic on the first page. My hope is that I can put a nice 'RESOLVED' or 'FIXED' label on this thread, one day next (and I'll for sure!). If this is the case, it is a testament to the theory of wheel ran combined with a small web analytics.
(2) do this a new thread, rather than continue in the old thread because it is time to ask a new question: how long will it take for Adobe a problem when its design is essentially broken causing users to have to do a 'fix' every time? Have you tried what a user suggested earlier in the thread? Although it takes a little getting used to, it works for me perfectly.

Exporting from After Effects to Final Cut Pro

Could someone tell me the best way to export to After Effects, in the Final Cut Pro? This I must have Automatic Duck for this, if yes which?

You must add your composition to the queue made and then export to the same format and codec you use in FCP. Automatic Duck is a great tool for your FCP or motion to enter into After Effects timelines, but most of the time I simply select an item in the PCF, export it as a sequence of reference, put in AE for treatment, then make a file to use as a substitute for the CPF.
Search by effects Final Cut Workflow and you'll find some more tips including this one. It is not bad for the body, but it misses the point to use the same codec. All my FCP projects are ProRez HQ or 444 ProREZ it's my choice. Also, if you use the shooting together, which isn't a bad idea, you can use the option to replace footage in FCP that is more effective that technique demoed drag your shot made in the timeline and then cut if necessary.

If I buy a newer computer (macbook)... with a NEW version of final cut... If I transfer all my info from my hard drive to the new computer, and if this newer computer has a new version of final cut pro, it will always show my "timeline" I have... to remember all my files?
If not... If I buy the same old version of final cut (6.0.6) and any transfer to another computer, my files will appear exactly as they did when I just changed my project?

Final cut pro to quit unexpectedly
I use final cut pro to make a slideshow of the meeting. I have downloaded some themes from film studios pixel has never had a problem before you export video will happen to about 30 to 50% then will leave the program.
I deleted my preferences and has a fixed disk utility still no luck it's the error I get.

Editing GoPro footage in Final cut pro 7
Hello
I shot a lot of footage recently on my new GoPro (30 p) 2704 × 1520, (.h264) and I need to convert for editing with Final Cut Pro 7, so that my system can handle it. My question is: what is the large size of the Final Cut 7 format can manage to edit a GoPro high resolution files (or other camera such as 2.7 k, 4 k formats?) I'll assume that I need to convert down to Apple Pro Res in 1440 x 1080? Correct size and codec?

I have Final Cut Pro 10.1.3 and want to upgrade to 10.2.3. When I select software update from the Apple menu, I said there is no update available. When I try to choose 'install' in the app store, it tells me that I can't do that because Final Cut is already installed.
Try to compress (right click, the bundle of app dot) the application to the zipper in the case where you need version 10.1 later for some reason any. Then download and run FCS Remover to get rid of all unnecessary files and app. Then download a new copy.
