Find a codec for Media Player 11

Hello

I try to play/burn it to a DVD using WM Player 11, but it takes a particular codec.

It is AC 3 E06D802C-DB46-11CF-B4D1-00805F6CBBEA

I can't find it anywhere on the Internet. Any ideas, please, where I could start looking?

Thank you

I recommend one of the K-Lite codec packages available here to download and install. The regular package should be enough, but you can opt for the full package.

Once you have downloaded the package on your computer, you can right-click on the installation. EXE andrun as administrator to avoid any problems with the installation.

  • Satellite A205 S4797 - can not find the drivers for my player

I have recovery disks and the Windows Vista installation disc. When I try to install error meesage says that it cannot find the drivers for my player.
I tried scannong CD player and there are not 32-bit, 64-bit, all them have different drivers and if so where can I get one I need if not from the installation disc or the disc recovery of fab?

If you cannot use original Toshiba recovery DVD for the installation of the OS I can imagine there is a problem with the DVD itself (some missing file or scratches) but the installation of Microsoft Vista SHOULD work on this model of laptop.

If this doesn t work too there must be a problem with the HARD drive. Just if you want to install Windows XP Home edition, you need to load the SATA driver on startup, but Vista should work.

Can you please tell me what happen when you try to install Vista from the facilities of Microsoft Vista DVD?

  • Codecs Windows Media Player for Mac

I read that a codec for Windows Media Player was on the list of requests for features in 2012.

It's two years later. Can we get a firm 'no' or the ETA?  Our communications department created on Mac but often distributes to the PC (some quite old). WMV codec is needed to send video files that are not hosted online while our intranet to be played on these older machines.

As much as we pay for CC, this should NOT be something to outsource to third party conversion software!

    Hi Paul,.

I don't know of a "list of feature requests" externally shared Adobe. To develop or you have a link?

We give no info like that, sorry. However, I would expect not .wmv export for Mac is on the list of priorities for the team. You can add your own feature request if you wish, here: http://adobe.ly/feature_request

Unfortunately, there is no other choice. I'm sorry.

  • Why Firefox instructions for Media Player do not work?

I tried to follow the instructions of Firefox to download the plugin for Windows Media Player. Say the instructions to save the file on my desk when you are prompted to save. However, when you are prompted, after clicking on 'save', a blank pop-up window appears with the title of "downloads" at the top. Then a small article appears and disappears from the bottom of the screen that says the download was successful. There is no option to save it to the desktop.

The Windows Media Player plugin is not displayed under tools and modules, so I guess it was never installed. Explorer always uses very well. Does anyone have a solution? Thank you.

  • MicroSoft update for Media Player shows never like a blocked 'Pop-up-Message' on My Favorites bar?

I had A Hacker today try to invade my computer through «free of the anti-viral» software download  I couldn't get the window closed so I shut down the computer. I called "The Geek Squad" and they said it was safe to start. "Two hours later, I received a request via my bookmarks bar, (a message had been blocked) that,"microsoft"wanted to update my windows media player.  I have never noticed an update come Microsoft like that then I saw deny access. Is it possible for an upcoming MicroSoft update in this way or how can I check the message without activating any download?  Later, I tried to find a Media Player update on the MicroSoft Web site, but did not find anything, however I'm not sure I was able to navigate as well as necessary to get the answer. Please help me.

    donpatchi,
For Windows Media Player, it has settings to verify updates of the separate drive of the Windows Update service.  If you open WMP, click Tools > Options > Player tab, you can change the frequency of when checking updates.  Also if you click help there is an option to check for updates.  So if ever you see an update for WMP and you don't know if it is authentic, you can always start the process to search for updates yourself.

If Windows update is set to automatic, then you should see a notification for these updates come from the notification bar (the area of the taskbar near the clock).  As with WMP, if you ever have a question or a question about an update, you can start Windows Update yourself and watch the updates that are currently available prior to installation.
