  At home, I have 2 servers ESXi with a vCenter 5 virtual running on one of these hosts (I know this is not supported or the best practice, because failure of the host with vCenter, only remains of the hosts and it doesn't have the majority because of the loss of VSA service and a host). However, I think that I have an error or an obstacle not related to this.

  Also, I plan on cold migration (first storage vMotion, deleting the VM of the inventory, adding to another host) the vCenter, so this problem should be addressed in the near future...

  Currently, I have installed the Manager of VSA on the vCenter server and when I open on my client vSphere client, I get the VSA Manager tab but when I open it, it says "Loading" and then a Flash-style/VMware View management console style dialog box pops up saying "the VSA cluster is unavailable: VC Session creation has failed." with a title "VSA Cluster unavailable."

  What I am doing wrong? I can't find much documentation on the installation of a VSA, so a little help would be appreciated by a Belgian engineer VMware junior and learning

  Your screenshot also indicated that vCenter is installed on port 8081. It's conssistent with the PuTTY test done before. You probably have something else listening on port 80. VSA 1.0 release requires that vCenter is Installer to the default HTTP port, port 80, which should be fixed in later versions.

  I build a continuous integration environment (aka Jenkins) and I need ojdeploy to build our project. The only way I found to have ojdeploy configured is to install JDeveloper Studio (12 c) on the environment, but we display on Linux (CentOS) environment, so I had to use the silent installation. However, the silent mode does not work and I couldn't understand why.

  Error log:

  [VALIDATION] [ERROR]: INST-07319: Validation of Oracle Home location failed. The location specified already exists and is a non-empty directory and not a valid Oracle Home

  [VALIDATION] [SUGGESTION]: provide a location of empty or non-existent directory or a valid existing Oracle home

  Command:

  java-jar jdev_suite_121200.jar - silent - invPtrLoc/home/oracle/install - responsefile/home/oracle/silent-install

  I already tried to delete all the contents of/home/oracle/jdev and even the record, but without success.

  Set the Oracle home for example ORACLE_HOME=/home/oracle/jdev12.1.2

  Parameter PLUGIN_SELECTION is used for the selection of the plugin. I'm sure that these values are correct and the setting is also correct, I followed the example of its use in new_install.rsp.  But after the installation, I check the EMCC plugin page, install only one or two plugin and sometimes not the plugin that I've specified in the PLUGIN_SELECTION parameter. Very strange.

  I suggest that you install the last em 12.1.0.2 and or 12.1.0.1 with BP1.  Is there a particular reason that you want to install 12.1.0.1 with bp1?

  Call setup:

  I use generic Setup and installed successfully through the console and GUI mode.
  The OS is Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4 (32 bit on machine VWare).
  I also tried on Windows 7.

  When you perform the installation by default, there is no need to specify the list of products at silent.xml. I use the text depending .cmd file (you can convert this to .sh) and silent.xml for install for quite awhile and it works well.

  I am unable to find a doc who has all the silent install switches listed for installation of the vmware view client. I found this thread http://communities.vmware.com/message/924962 but it does not list what makes each switch and I need to remove the reboot. I use landesk for this to get out for our customers. Also is there anyway to also put in the default server view vmware with a switch without using Group Policy? Thanks for any help I get.

  Hinken, you can silently install presenter 8 like many other adobe products. Simply create an msi package for presenter using JOHN 3.1 8 and then push it through SCCM and install in silent mode.

  Not the most experienced at this, but you use the stub Installer, perhaps you can try the classic installer and try again?

  If I remember someone else reported the same problem yesterday and Nvidia suggested to reinstall OS x. If yo boot into Recovery and reinstall without formatting nothing should be lost but backup before just I case.
