  I just did a fresh install of El Capitan on my machine - and have all the updates (so I'm on 10.11.3).  When I first installed and punch in my iCloud info - widget FMF seemed to work.  Subsequently to a certain point - my friends (really just my family) came - but all gray and are not available.

  Frustrated by this - I tried signing to iCloud and returned on my Mac.  Now, the widget is completely empty - no friends not listed.  Just the link «read more»

  If anyone has experienced this?  Super frustrating - I know that this widget is a minor thing - but I was looking forward to y in El Capitan.

  You can check if System Event Notification Service is enabled and set to automatic.

  Here's how you do it;

  1. Select start > run > and type services.msc.

  2. scroll down until you find System Event Notification Service and make sure that it is running and set to automatic.

  Also make sure Remote Procedure Call following the same steps above.

  3. restart your computer.

  If this does not help, try this:

  1. click on the Start button.

  2. type Cmd in the search text box.

  3. press on Ctrl-Shift-Enter keyboard shortcut to run command as administrator prompt. Allow elevation request.

  4 type netsh winsock reset at the shell command prompt, and then press the Enter key.

  5 restart the computer

• The touchpad scrolling stops working during the AVG scanning

  I had problems with my touchpad scrolling intermittently does not not in Firefox for everything to doing some time-probably at least a year. I've probably tried all the common fixes without result. I found that if I sign out and then sign back in to Windows, scrolling will work perfectly until AVG antivirus does a scan or an update. It will not work again until disconnect me and reconnect. Firefox is the only application that is affected.

  Hello!

  I figured out how to stop the break when an AVG scan starts. It seems that it is the AVG scan notification that appears in the bar of tasks that causes scrolling to stop working. When I disabled the taskbar notifications in AVG, the scans run normally and my scroll continues to operate correctly. So, I guess I don't really fix anything, but found a workaround I can live with that.

  OK, try the steps below:

  1 - Login to your account

  2 - Win Key + R to open Run

  3 - Type services.msc and press enter

  4 - find "System Event Notification Service" and double-click it.

  5. now in front of Startup type , see it is set to Auto or select "Auto".

  6. now go to ' theRecovery tab' in front of 'first failure' 'set'restart the Serviceand verify that this is the same in Second Doctor too. Do not touch "subsequent failures."

  7 - click on "Ok" and reboot your PC.
