Find the location of Base Oracle

I have a system running Windows XP x 64 and Oracle 10.2.0.1.0 x 64, who put in place another person. He separated from the houses to the database, an instance ASM and Oracle Apache web server (64 - bit x 86-not). I need to upgrade to 11.1, and I'm going to the web server integrated for simplicity.

When I run the Universal Installer, it fills in the location of base Oracle as 'C:\app\Administrator', which does not exist. I guess it will be difficult administration to have multiple oracle databases, or at least to remove older versions of Oracle hard when I can't find the file. There is no environment variable set, and it doesn't seem to be reading the previous value of anywhere (a severe bug in the installer that it has not automatically stored and retrieved). I don't know how to find what is currently implemented as the basis of Oracle. There are currently files "C:\Program Files\Oracle" and "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Oracle" who have records of inventory inside, a folder 'C:\oracle' that has some of my files and "c:\oracle\product\10.2.0" with 3 software installs and the admin folder. The only information I found in the documentation of oracle on the search for the location of base Oracle is "the Oracle base location is the location where the Oracle Database binary files are stored". (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11857_01/em.111/e12255/oui2_manage_oracle_homes.htm)

I guess that documentation won't and the two folders that have the inventory records are my two current oracle databases. Is this correct, or should I look elsewhere?

http://www.DBA-Oracle.com/t_oracle_home_oracle_base.htm

Under Windows, ORACLE_BASE is associated with an Oracle home directory. ORACLE_BASE is set in the registry
(for example, in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\KEY_HOME_NAME).

from what I understand, your $ORACLE_BASE dirctory is c:\oracle\product\10.2.0

    Thank you

You have created a directory of Oracle named plsql_dir pointing to 'C:\Users\Retail\Oracle\hello '.
You must manually create the physical directory. Oracle does not create it.

  • Degree of accuracy is to find the locations of friends?  If the location of a person is updated, the situation might be wrong or delay?

Degree of accuracy is to find the locations of friends?  If the premises of a person is updated on my phone, could be wrong or delay of an hour or two?

It is as accurate as the location information that becomes their phone. And which can vary wildly. GPS signals are subject to an intervention by buildings, trees, weather. The phone can get information about the location of a WiFi network that is inaccurate. Find My Friends is certainly not specific enough to be invoked in situations of life and death. Nor should it be used as "evidence" that children or spouses are lying to you.

  • find the location of course VI - dynamically

    Hi evryone,

I intend to use a single VI in the main stage and the actions of the later stage. Part of this VI behaves differently depending on whether we are at the stage main or step after action. But the problem is finding the location... where are we? main stage? or after step?... How to find this dynamic? Any idea?

    Thanks in advance...

    Hi Anil,

Why can not make us simpler and just add an entry to your VI supplement. Possibly a Boolean value by which you can pass a true in the case of the action step and a value of false in the case of the stage post phase. It would be much easier to implement that try to understand by programming where the call origin.

Each line/record has a rowid that are associated with.

    SQL> select rowid, DEPTNO, DNAME, LOC from dept;

    ROWID DEPTNO DNAME LOC

You must use a double apostrophe to denote an apostrophe in a literal string in SQL

    If ' "' is a single quote.

Knowing that, it is what you need:

    SQL>  select instr('''345634'',''234''', '''', 3) pos_of_3rd_quote from dual;

    POS_OF_3RD_QUOTE
    ----------------

    Hello

Discoverer belongs to BI Standard Edition. You can load BI from here. You need the 2 CDs for Discoverer Plus and Viewer and the CD-ROM of the discoverer Admin tools and office.

You must also apply the patches to go to the latest version. The LearnDiscoverer blog has details of the latest patches.

  • How can I find the location of the Oracle password on HARD disk file

give us the location of the password file while we use the orapwd command to create a.

later, if you forget the location of the password file (incase it is not in the default location) then is there a way to find it or simply create a new password file?

Second, for oracle to use the password of the file we giv the remote_login_passwordfile = 'EXCLUSIVE' in the settings file. Wat tells oracle the location of the correct password file?

    Thank you
    Arvind

Published by: iinfi, Sep 29, 2008 12:15 AM

The default location are dependent on the OS.
    On Unix/Linus, it's under $ORACLE_HOME/dbs
On Windows, it is under %ORACLE_HOME%/database

To change the location by default, nothing inside the database, but:
Under Unix/Linux, you must create a symbolic link to this file to the target location
Under Windows, you need to change the variable env (regedit) ORA_PWFILE and ORA_SID_PWFILE

So, you must check this setting for the location of real password file.

    Nicolas.

  • Is it possible to find the location in the bookmarks of a bookmark?

From time to time, it happens that I strongly suspect that I saved a bookmark, but I do not remember exactly where, and I maybe changed a category or subcategory description bookmark in the meantime.

I usually remember something on the bookmark that allows me to find breast show all bookmarks, but it does not give me the option to rename or re-file the bookmark, category or subcategory.

View all bookmarks, looks that the field called 'Location' (of a bookmark) should be called "URL" and that there should be another field called 'Location' which tells you where the bookmark is breast show all bookmarks.

Is it already possible to find the current location of the current bookmark in view all bookmarks?

If this isn't the case, I ask it is possible.

The text that appears in "Troubleshooting information" seems not very relevant to my question.

Without the use of an extension cord, you can click on that bookmark to open the link in a new tab (you can also do offline), and then click the star highlighted at the right end of the address bar to open the dialog box "edit this bookmark".

See also these two extension that adds a parent column in the Manager of bookmarks (library)
