Firefox 12.0 Uninstall via SCCM 2007

Hey,.

I'm having a problem uninstalling Firefox 12.0 via SCCM because I can't file... Normally, I would run the "C:\Program Files (86) \Mozilla ' ms -, but since it's a thinapp there is no helper.exe and no uninstall file... Any suggestions? I got more than 1000 machines I need to run it on lol...

Uncomment MSIProductCode in the package.ini so that you can use the same GUID to uninstall the MSI file.

MSIEXEC /x GUID

  • "Plugin - container.exe has stopped working" error during installation of Firefox 36.0 via SCCM if Firefox is open during installation.

When installing Firefox 36.0 via SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), if the previously installed version of Firefox is open during the new installation, an error, "Plugin - container.exe has stopped working. A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly. Please close the program. This problem occurs only if Firefox is open during the installation, otherwise the installation is successful. Note: I have included a taskkill to 'firefox.exe' in my installation script to stop Firefox runs.

There are new logic in Firefox 36 monitor to stop crashes while the Mozilla Crash Reporter can capture data. This could have the effect of killing her task, I'm not sure. Maybe you have to kill plugin - container.exe before firefox.exe? I'm not familiar with SCCM and it might have a more graceful way to close an application.

  • Uninstall via the registry

I a - Freshdownload - program I want and can not just go down my system. I tried to uninstall via Add/Remove Programs, but he has just retired from the list, but is still on the computer. If I delete just the entries in the registry, which will work, or is there a downside to this?

Start by using free Revo Uninstaller.

If after that you still seem to have traces, this forum MajorGeeks Council seems like if she should do the trick:

If this failed and fresh download plug-in still in Netscape / Mozilla/Opera plug-in folder, then try to delete npfd.dll or fdplugin.dll file in this folder.

Or if there is problem with integration in IE, type this in your run menu:
    regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\FreshDevices\FreshDownload\FDcatch.dll"

Restart your computer and delete all the files in the folder download fresh. New download keeps only files in this folder.

In this respect the first sentence, if you use Mozilla Firefox, see manually uninstalling a Plugin (or simply search all files and folders to npfd.dll and fdplugin.dll).  You can rename (as the help page says Firefox) or just delete.

The second sentence applies to Internet Explorer.

In both cases, don't forget the third sentence.

  • SCCM 2007 Office package

For the life of me I can not office 2007 to install on via SCCM.  I'm not the new version 1511 and I can load the files source on a computer, run the command setup.exe /adminfile 2007custom.msp and it works fine.

Tried to reproduce this in SCCM and it will not deploy.  Any time, I try to plan its System Center says the package is overdue and needs to be retired.  As much as I'd love to retire from the old software, I have legacy clients who need so I need to be able to deploy it.

    Someone has an idea?

Your question is beyond the scope of these forums focused on consumers.  You should ask your question on the Microsoft Technet forum.

  • Password Bank found that Firefox has been uninstalled from this computer

I get this message and let me know what it means. "Password Bank found that Firefox has been uninstalled from this computer. Please confirm following elevation request to remove orphan password Bank support.

    Hello!

It seems a similar problem has been reported in the past, already, for example here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/954186

Chances are that you have advanced security software on your computer that you're not using (banking password), which can eventually be removed from your computer (because it seems that you do not use).

I would suggest finding the control panel for your computer and removing Bank of your system password, if you know how to do this.

  • SCCM 2007, WinPE30x86 - Optiplex 7040 - No. USB mouse keyboard in WinPE

    Hello!
Im getting OSD works on Dell Optiplex 7040 with SCCM 2007 (Winpe30) of evil. No response from the mouse or keyboard in PE. I created a bootimage with the latest Dell WinPE drivers (tried A18 and A19). Driverpack WinPE from Dell contains 30 USB and 3.1 drivers but no luck-USB. Looks like the Optiplex 7040 have only ports of USB30.
This isn't a problem in our environment SCCM 2012 (WinPE10).

Solved... BIOS has been the root cause. Fra 1.2.1 to 1.2.8 BIOS update fixed the issues.

  • SITE Installation on SCCM 2007 v2.0

    Hi Eveyone,

I try to install the Pack integration of customer Dell (CPID v2.0) for SCCM 2007. In the installation of Dell Guide and in the "Prerequisites to install SITE" section, it states that "you must install all the components of the SITE excluding the value of the guarantee on the same server where ConfigMgr is installed.  It doesn't tell you where to install the utility of warranty.

For those of you who have installed and configured the Dell Utility guarantee to work, on what server or workstation do you have to install it and make it work? Did you install on a Server Site with no installed ConfigMgr and do work or installed on a single Windows Server 2003 or 2008/R2 in the SCCM environment?

In the supplied with CPID v2.0 User Guide, it tells you just how to start to set up without telling you which server to set it up on.

Any information on how to make this guarantee utility work well will be apprecaited.

    Thank you

    TeeDarling77

You can install the utility warranty on your site server (many clients do this).  Other components of the 2.0 SITE were required to be on the site server, but the usefulness of the guarantee do not have this requirement.
