    Hello.
I have a problem with an Aspire V5 - irritating 431 which I have just downgraded to Windows 7. To install from a USB key, I changed to UEFI BIOS Legacy and converted to MBR disk. Everything went great initially, Windows installed thin and everything works fine. Except the Intel HD Graphics drivers.
Whenever I have install the graphics drivers and reboot the screen is all messed up. Everything is distorted and double. Still, the only way to do things is to uninstall the drivers. As long as Windows is running with basic VGA drivers, everything seems fine. But low resolution, of course.
I tried several different versions of the graphics driver, but they all produce the same question.
I googled a little and found that I'm not the only one with this problem. Apparently it has something to do with the start safe in the UEFI bios feature.
I'm going crazy, not being able to install these drivers. What can I do? Looks like a bug to me...
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    • In the Firefox options window, click the Advanced tab, and then select 'General '.
    • You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.

Is the problem that the Windows task bar is hidden by the Firefox window, or that changes to the taskbar make it impossible to change the windows?

If the taskbar are hidden by Firefox, it is possible that Firefox is in full screen mode. The F11 key toggles between full screen and normal views.

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

  • Updated for Firefox 18.0 and now windows wrap incorrectly, with more and more of the right part of the window appears on the left when you get off.

Update Firefox 18,0 on a MacBook running Mac OS 10.6. Non-static moment of window display areas (squares url & search, main area of window, etc.) incorrectly, similar to what happens when a program thinks that the image (for example) is 500 pixels wide, when its actually 512 pixels wide. Each line after the first begins with what is "still" line above, resulting in an image that appears tilted, with what should be the right of the image progressively more appearing on the left side of the image. No other programs (including Safari) do seem to be having this problem, and it appeared immediately after the upgrade. Minimize the window in the Dock, and then reopen temporarily solves the problem. As soon as I scroll the window, the problem reappears.
