Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.
See "create a profile":
- http://KB.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting on the problem.

Windows update - reappear the same updates
I have Windows 7 Pro. During the last three months updates continued to appear. I downloaded and installed several times. They appear in my update as a success story, but then when the auto update tuns, the same three will appear again. Three updates are:
- Update for Windows 7 for x 64-based systems (KB3068708)
- Update for Windows 7 for x 64-based systems (KB3035583)
- Update security for Windows 7 for x 64-based systems (KB3046269)
Anyone knows what is the cause?
The first two in your post have a goal - to 'upgrade' from your computer to Windows 10. If you don't want Windows 10, there is no need them for sure.
Change your Windows Update settings for EVER, and this doesn't continue to happen.

Windows Update stays in forever fixed verification of updates - see the messages below
This started happening a few days installing updates some was interrupted by a power failure. When the computer has been restarted, updates has not started again.
Now, it checks only the updates for hours. I let it run for about 4 hours now. I tried everything I have seen posted here. I ran twice the resolution of the problems. The first time he said it fixed some registry problems but could not solve windows update. The second time that he claims to have fixed problems with windows update, but it still does not work.
I had the same problem since a month. I am running Vista Home Premium SP2 32-bit. I tried every day to get the update of Windows to work even leave overnight. I tried all the fixes to the closure of services and their registration, the use of the patch you have. I was resigned to redefine my PC or having to buy a new (or a Mac) as my laptop does not Windows 10, then I came across this in a thread Windows 7 and I thought I would give it ago, and it WORKED! That's what I did: first download manually KB3145739 starting from Microsoft Download Center. The link is listed in method 2 or use this link: https://technet.microsoft.com/library/security/MS16-039 make sure you download the package appropriate for Vista.Go in Windows Update and disable automatic updates by selecting never search for updates. Restart the PC, this will ensure the update services have stopped. Manually install the update that you downloaded. Install it even if your story shows that it has been installedReboot the PCThen try Windows Update by doing a manual update, this worked for me and now I can download updates for Windows and Microsoft Products. It seems to work for many users of Windows 7, and it seems to work for Vista. I have no idea why we do, but its rather pathetic. It is perhaps a way to force users to upgrade to Windows 10.

I've just updated to the latest version of Firefox 32.0.3 today and now I can not manually type in the URL. I can't get to a new page if I click on a link. I had to use - gasp - Chrome just to get to this help page!
I tried to restart Firefox.
I can type (not a keyboard problem), but the browser never tries to go to URL, when I hit enterAny ideas?
Thanks - kept looking around and found a rec to make a reset of Firefox. This seems to have worked.

I do not change my Google settings. I've always had it ready to open search results in a new window. Some time before, he began to open two windows that have the same url/content.
This problem may be caused by an extension that is not working properly.
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.

I'd love to be able to use the stable release and at the same time, I want to see what's to come in future releases and test them. I wonder if I can install all three of them and maybe even run them at the same time.
Do a custom installation and install each version in its own folder in program using several versions of Firefox.
Create a new profile exclusively for each version of Firefox.
Create a shortcut on the desktop with Pei 'profile' attached to the target to launch each version of Firefox with its own profile.See these articles for more information mozillaZine KB:

Firefox asks me if I would record the same file repeatedly
Firefox repeatedly asks me if I want to save the same file. I delete the downloads.sqlite file. I disabled "don't forget the download history. I've upgraded Firefox 7 to 8 Firefox. Still having the same problem. I did uninstall and reinstall Firefox. I deleted the file from my computer. I still have the same problem. Problem only when Firefox is running.
I am running Windows Vista Home Premium with Service pack 2 (32 bit).
Suggestions how warns we stop/small window pop up that says "you have chosen to open...". You want to save this file?
Problem seems to be related to the use of speed dial add-on for FF. Some of the documents stored in the speed dial repeatedly ask you to record files/programs.

I changed the storage location of the profiles for versions of Firefox prior to version 3.6.8 on other computers by changing profiles.ini to point to the modified location, using the same file successfully profiles.ini for different user accounts. When I upgraded to 3.6.8 on this machine dual-booting Win Xp and Win 7, modified profiles storage location has been maintained so that all users in the two operating systems use the same profile (and the same version of Firefox). I tried to use what I think, it's the same procedure in another Win XP machine, but when I try to open Firefox 3.6.8 installed on this computer, I get a message saying that Firefox is already running and I have to close to go forward.
Please explain how I can get this to work.
Thank you.
You define the location of the profile profiles.ini file for XP and Windows 7 point to that same folder.
Easier to accomplish this is to create a new profile and choose the location of this profile to point to the profile folder.
Make sure you have write access in the two BONES in the profile folder. -
Windows Update is constantly updated with the same updates successfully, why?
When I run updates on my computer, and then install one should it be installed they still install successfully. But today I watched my story because it was as if I had already installed the same updates previously, and I reason I installed it successfully, the same updates several times. Wear it the same number () after the name of the update. Why is it that happens, is it supposed to do that? And if not how to fix it?

Windows Update, offering the same updates
Hello
I am running Windows Vista Home premium 64-bitI did a factory of my computer reset today and have been involved in the update of windows for some time now.I am facing two problems with windows update:1 - the first is that Windows update keeps giving me the same important updates 3 over and over-Internet Explorer 8 for Windows Vista for x 64 systems-Update for Windows Vista for x 64-based systems (KB971029)-Windows Search 4.0 for windows Vista x 64-based Systems (KB940157)It has been the installation of the updates successfully and I get the green icon in windows update, but after 'check updates', I always get the same updates.
I tried to pass by the troubleshooting suggested to this page on renaming the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution, but with no result... http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_other-windows_update/Windows-Vista-keeps-wanting-to-install-the-same/4ca85f08-73e3-4A4B-B1FF-f3747fcf945e2. via the properties of my computer, I see that I have Service Pack 1Given that windows update will not provide Service Pack 2, I downloaded manually via the Download Center and tried to install it. but I get a message saying that the Service Pack 1 is installed.
Please help me and thanks in advance. Thanks for your reply,
However, the computer has a hardware problem that required me to reformat the first time is when the issue of the update happened, I had to solve the problem and again the reformat...I have corrected the problem and that's goodThanks again and sorry for the inconvenience. -
I was wondering if there was a way to update multiple BlackBerry operating system at the same time? or is there a different software that can do?
-Salman
Yes, you can update several at once, according to the number of USB powered ports on your PC.
So, if you have two of the rear USB ports, you can update both at the same time, using the "loader.exe". Do not use some 08/04/16 ports USB hub, just the main PC usb ports.
1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.
