I'm afraid to update firefox since the last 3 times I did so firefox stop working and had to be reinstalled.
I'm glad it works again. This is the important result and thanks for posting back.
Repeated to uninstall and reinstall Firefox often do not help.
Clicking on the pop-up of unknown or doubtful origin, it is always a bad idea.Screenshots will help if you are still having problems.
Connects to any future reference is not to the internet, after a new installation may be related to problems with the firewall or your security software not recognizing Firefox.

My Firefox XPI plugin stopped working / LM 3.0.2
I don't know why, but my work plugin Firefox XPI to allow viewing of the console stopped working. When I click on any image to bring up the console, Firefox closes on me every time. Is it possible to remove it and do try to re - charge it? Is anyone else having issues?
OS: Windows 7 Build 7264 64-bit (running as a virtual machine in Fusion)
Browser: Firefox 3.0.11
I was always hesitant to upgrade the browser as I feared that he might break something. I wonder if this is the last version of Windows I installed last week.
I hope someone can help me with this issue, I do not really use IE
Plugins for the console are usually found in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins\ and include (libeay32, npmks, ssleay32) .dll and vmware - remotemks.exe
I understand that you uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox entirely, which is what I would recommend so just remove the files above didn't help.
Which is also likely to help, it's that I should mention that Firefox 3.5 (from any host operating system) is not explicitly taken into charge for LM 3.0.2, which means he worked previously due to some luck and changes have generally not-nice things to make it stop.

30 FireFox sync has stopped working with Windows 8.1 Refresh?
I just had to update 8.1 Windows and somehow, I got my old favorites expired Internet Explorer in Firefox and I lost all of my current FireFox Favorites and cannot bring them by the synchronization because the synchronization does not work. I need to return all the bookmarks I have saved in Firefox, the past two years. I tried to reset Firefox and from synchronization and safe mode still will not work.
Will I get an email or how to find if a person pick up?You can restore a backup JSON here:
- Bookmarks > show all bookmarks > import and backup > restore > choose file
- Press the ALT key, or press F10 to display the Menu bar.
There is a star as the button next to the search bar on the Navigation toolbar to bookmark the current web page and a "Show bookmarks" button next to it to open bookmarks in a menu drop-down.
You can find "Show all bookmarks" to open the bookmarks (library) at the bottom of the drop-down list manager -
Why my firefox toolbar button stop working when I update?
I update to version 22.0 and my Firefox toolbar button no longer starts the browser.
This also happens after that microsoft upgrades a new security update.
I think microsoft is trying to trap the use of your browser...Please update for Firefox 22, then reset Firefox Firefox Refresh - discount to zero and settings modules

Well, I have a problem with adobe flash player, which had stopped working (I can't watch videoes on youtube). I learned that I can solve this problem by clicking on add-on Manager to control the program. but every time I try to open it start loading then I get the message firefox add-ons stopped working and needs to close. I close it and again click on Add-ons (options / general / manage add ons) is the same thing over and over again.
Hello, all first please try to update to the latest version Firefox (firefox 18.0.1) - you are using a very old version and insecure at the moment.
If this does not resolve the issue already, so maybe that files in your profile folder that store the information on your extensions could have been corrupted. Please go to firefox > help > troubleshooting information > profile - display folder... then windows Explorer should open your profile folder. there looking for files named extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite, extensions.sqlite - journal (and in some cases also extensions.txt, extensions.rdf). delete or rename the files and quit firefox, they will be regenerated the next time you start firefox.

Drop-down menu of Firefox address bar Sporatically stops working
I had this problem for about a year and some parts of the year are worse than others, and now, according to the latest update of Firefox, this problem is at its absolute worst.
The drop-down menu in the address bar of Firefox sometimes stops displaying my newest and popularly seen the websites that I have visited. Whenever I have updated Firefox, the problem goes away and he used to stay at the gap to end of weeks in a row, but now the drop stops working almost whenever I close Firefox after this last update a few days earlier.
This problem persists in the Mode of Firefox safe and apparently appears randomly any plugins/extensions I can I have installed/enabled.
I am at a complete loss here and would appreciate any help because this drop in the address bar is one of my favorite features in any browser, and it becomes annoying to have to reinstall the plugins more (when I use the Sync feature to reinstall the plugins, the problem is even worse).
For problems with the file places.sqlite (bookmarks, historical) database, you can check in the Firefox profile folder.
If the extension of Maintenance of places cannot repair the database places.sqlite file remove all places.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder to rebuild the database places.sqlite latest JSON Firefox backup in the folder bookmarkbackups.

Why has my firefox stopped working since Thursday afternoon 10/15/15?
Firefox worked fine and now all of a sudden, it stopped working. My Internet Explorer works, but I hate using it. Why and what do I do? Help, please.
It is possible that your firewall or other security software blocks or limit Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.
Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and allow your firewall to ask permission to get access full and unrestricted, again to install for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

Bookmarks have stopped working in Firefox 41.0.1
Bookmarks have stopped working (i.e. I can't create new ones) in Fx 41.0.1. My old favorites are still there and they still work as expected. In the past, when I created a bookmark (' bookmarks > Bookmark this page') I would get a dialog box so that I could determine whenre the bookmark has been going. Now I get nothing, and I can't find any new bookmark.
I don't know exactly when Fx itself 41.0.1 upgrade, but I first noticed this problem 2-3 days ago.
Hi, it is possible that the update has interfered with one of your extensions - a number you need! So, try Firefox Mode safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:
- Click the menu button
click Help
then select restart with disabled modules.
If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:
- On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
- On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
- On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."
If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.
To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.
If it's OK in Mode without failure, you will need to temporarily disable all of your extensions one by one until you find the culprit.
When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

When installing Firefox 36.0 via SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), if the previously installed version of Firefox is open during the new installation, an error, "Plugin - container.exe has stopped working. A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly. Please close the program. This problem occurs only if Firefox is open during the installation, otherwise the installation is successful. Note: I have included a taskkill to 'firefox.exe' in my installation script to stop Firefox runs.
There are new logic in Firefox 36 monitor to stop crashes while the Mozilla Crash Reporter can capture data. This could have the effect of killing her task, I'm not sure. Maybe you have to kill plugin - container.exe before firefox.exe? I'm not familiar with SCCM and it might have a more graceful way to close an application.

FDM has stopped working with firefox
Free Download Manager has stopped working with firefox after I speedup firefox opening. (not after restart or update of firefox) Before that, I used FDM on firefox. I already try with restart firefox and follow-up of the implementation under the quiz "Windows Media or other plugins stopped working after Firefox update | Firefox Help", but none of them worked.
When you say after you speed up Firefox, do you mean you used the reset feature? You can tell because Firefox will create a new 'Old Firefox Data' folder on your desktop when you reset.
The Reset function deletes your extensions as part of the cleaning process. You probably need to reinstall FDM from its original source. Maybe the Addons site? https://addons.Mozilla.org/Firefox/

NoSquint 2.1.9 has stop working in Firefox 30.0?
After that I upgraded to 30 NoSquint Firefox will not work. I keep my office to 125% and kept NoSquint at 80%, but now it's 100% and nothing I try helps. I'm confused.
IF she stopped working, where can I find the previous version of Firefox? I can't surf with all that huge.
NoSquint should still work in Firefox 30, but you need to install an add-on that restores the add-on bar.
If you have extensions to place toolbar buttons in the bar of the add-on so you need an extension like CTR to restore this toolbar.

Firefox extension: 'TrueSuite 5.2.500.16' stopped working after the last update of firefox (30.0), although subject: said plugin activated.
I tried to reset firefox and search for similar problems, unfortunately found nothing.
It is also weird empty space before the address in the address bar
other extensions and addons seems to work very well.
Firefox 30 spent some less commonly used "Always turned on" plugins "asking to activate. To check and change this to TrueSuite, you can use the page modules. Either:
- CTRL + SHIFT + a
- "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
In the left column, click on Plugins. Then on the right, check the setting on the right side of TrueSuite.
Any difference?
Note to other readers: the original poster had to leave Firefox and start it again until it is actually entered into force.
