Firefox keeps crashing outside the safe mode (reset, uninstall-reinstall and disable all add-ons do not help)

I've actually had this problem for over a year now with previous versions. The browser always crashes just after that I start it, but it seems to work fine in safe mode. I tried to reset the Firefox, disable all add-ons mode security and reinstall the application, but none of these methods does not seem to work. Here's the accident reports I after you have installed the latest version of tonight:

Seems that the reason for the accident is "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ", means something like that...

Try disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Computer stops in normal mode quickly. Do not use in safe mode, because I have no sound or security, please help?

    Hello

Could be heat related - try using a small fan to blow into the air intakes to see if that helps.
It is just like it loses power or stop it in the normal way? Keep in mind
This associated heat does not always mean too much heat as it is often a part or a component
who is too sensitive to normal levels even heat.

Remove ALL power and reinstall all the memory cards and cables (both ends where possible).
in fact, remove and replace - don't do not just tight. Remove the dust bunnies and clean the
air vents. Check that fans are working (before and after opening the case). When your laptop on all the

  • New Firefox, will not save the homepage and will open and display all add-ons every time!

Okay - years old now, I used Firefox ONLY - he had the best extensions and modules from any other browser out there. Add to that, it is safe and very fast. This is my default browser.

This week I logged on my DeviantArt site and odd ads began to appear in the lower corners left and right of the browser, unlike what I'd never seen before. Add to that, they were very inappropriate. So I guess something was wrong and went through three, as in 3, programs to find out if I got "bugs" the origin of the problems. And of course, there was a kind of nasty bug in Firefox, causing all sorts of questions.

So, following the suggestions to fix, as well as the suggestions on here, I uninstalled Firefox (21) and then reinstalled the new version, 23. At first, I thought, ' Wow, this is really very fast! When I opened Firefox it does not go to my home page, he went to the Firefox start page, as well as the opening of the tabs for EACH add-on and extension!

Yes, open tools, Options and reset the home page of my homepage, https://www.google.com

Simple and something I've done before. I'm a geek and have worked on my own additions. Set up my home page, has been working in Firefox and went to youtube to download a video it would not! So went to DLhelper, read their comments, changed one of the strings and voila! No problems!

So I thought it was fixed and I was happy. It was last night. This morning, I start the computer and the first thing we do is to open Firefox. And what happens? Oh, Yes, that's right, NOTHING THAT I wanted TO! It's back to the start page of Firefox, and it opens tabs for EACH SINGLE module!

Holy carp, tired now. So I research of 8 this morning until about an hour ago, so a little more than 5 hours, that I keep trying to fix it based on instructions of Firefox. Go to topic: config, work on channels, change the info from the home page, etc. Save it. Return to tools, Options, and there is my home page. Close Firefox and open and what the heck? Once again, back to where it was, opening, as if I just downloaded this browser. Now, I spent literally HOURS trying to solve this problem and I am so frustrated that I'm almost ready to uninstall it! My one complaint is that I've looked everywhere to try to find this same problem and it does not. Is true, I am the only one having this weird problem?

    You can reset firefox?

See below for what it does.

  • Firefox works too slowly. I have reset it. Update of plugins, but it does not help.

    Firefox worm 25.
It downloads the pages slowly. I started it without plugins. I've updated all the plugins.
Sometimes Firefox Watch window 'Script on this page may be busy... ". «The status line showes "transfer data of...» »

I would like to thank Christophe.
I did everything you mentioned, but it does not help.
I found the solution. The steps are:

    1. 1 change of security for adobe flash in the C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\mms.cfg file add the line ProtectedMode = 0
    2. 2. set in Firefox Subject: config change dom.ipc.plugins.enabled to false and dom.ipc.plugins.java.enabled to true
    3. 3 disable hardware acceleration (advanced - general - settings)

I guess only the first step and half of second if enough.
We thank Assistant. My request can be closed.

  • 3.6.7and the new java Firefox do not work for me. Firefox keeps giving me the script errors

Errors are: busy script: Programfiles/Mozillafirefox/components/nsExtensionmanager.js:623 or [JavaScript error: 'dir is zero' {file: 'file:///C:/Users/Owner/AppData/Roaming/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/v8lye5o2.default/extensions/%7B0538E3E3-7E9B-4d49-8831-A227C80A7AD3%7D/components/nsForecastfox.js' line: 323}] "when calling method: [ffIDiskService::get]."

The only solution is to uninstall firefox and reinstall. I have to do every day because he does that until firefox freezes or closes. I am running Vista. Never had this problem until I upgrade 3.6.8 and then I kept getting java errors, so I downloaded the most recent Java. Now if firefox starts at all, add ons do not work. If I uninstall and reinstall, they work temporarily until I have to close firefox.

The issue of 'nsExtensionManager.js:623' is due to an incompatibility of Personas Plus 1.6 with the Google toolbar.

  • Spin the ball of death, have checked all add-ons

Hi, use Firefox 40.0.2 on a Macbook Air the ball of spinning of death all the time recently and have only on Firefox... other browsers are ok. When I disabled all add-ons, the spinning ball will stop. When I laboriously disabled and tested one at a time, the ball turns never went away. How is that possible? Is there anything that I think not or anything else I can try? Here are the screenshots of all my Add-ons. Thank you!!

Maybe it's time to try refresh (called "Reset" in older versions of Firefox) which can resolve many issues by restoring Firefox as his default from factory and save your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.

Note: When you use this feature, you will lose all the extensions, toolbar customizations, and certain preferences. See article Firefox Refresh - reset modules and parameters for more information.

    Refresh for Firefox:

    1. Open the troubleshooting information page using one of the following methods:

      • Click the menu button

        click Help

and select troubleshooting information. Should open a new tab containing your troubleshooting information.

      • If you are unable to access the Help menu, type Subject: support in your address bar to bring up the troubleshooting information page.
    2. At the top right of the page, you should see a button that says 'Refresh Firefox' ('reset Firefox' in older versions of Firefox). Click on it.
    3. Firefox closes. Once the update process is complete, Firefox will display a window with the imported information.
    4. Click Finish and reopen Firefox.

Before updating, you might want to take note of your Add ons that will be deleted.

This corrects the problem? Please report to us!

    Thank you.

  • Firefox will crash on the opening, only allowing me to use it in safe mode.

When I try to open Firefox, it fails every time (I get an error message or anything, it simply never opens). After a few attempts, he allows me to restart Firefox or open it in safe mode. When I try to reset it, reset screen unresponsive, ends by crashes (once again, no message). This problem also happens when I do it through the Troubleshooting tab in the browser. This means that I can just open Firefox in safe mode. I tried to uninstall and reinstall Firefox, restart Firefox and my computer several times and tried to find a solution in other issues. Anything that will allow me to not use safe mode would be great. Thank you

Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.

    See "create a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting on the problem.

Start the computer in safe mode Windows with network support (on the startup screen, press F8) as a test to see if that helps.

This report also contains technical information about the state of the application when it crashed.

Great, thanks for posting back. I will mark your answer as the solution.

Oddly even though I could see speedbit mentioned in your reports of incidents and the title of related bug I didn't see he's looking for to your system details side. It is a component of something else, or Firefox support simply not picked up and listed.

  • Hi How can I disable the safe mode to allow add ons to work thank you

Hi firefox seems to be in safe mode and all the addons are disabled. How to change this setting

Just restart again normally, without pressing the SHIFT key.

You need to close firefox and wait or to kill the process, including any plugincontainer.exe or simply do a full power down reboot.
