Firefox and VI snippets
When I try to drag a Web page with firefox LabVIEW VI excerpt displays a comment with the URL of the PNG file.
If I switch to IE, I get the real excerpt loaded in LabVIEW.
Anyone know a solution?

I wrote a Quick drop plugin which replaces the comment URL added when you drag an excerpt from Firefox or Chrome with the code you want.
One time installed, drag an excerpt from any browser, select the text, press on

How to fix Firefox and Thunderbird when MozBackup broke?
Hello.
We are a small family business. My father, the head of the company, really liked software MozBackup and we use it for a long time now.
About 2 weeks ago, we bought a new PC for our needs, and while I was configuring it to work, I encountered a major problem. I installed Win7 64 bit, all the drivers needed and software, including FireFox, ThunderBird and MozBackup. Everything was going well until we used MozBackup. FireFox is now having trouble with certificates - for example it shows problems with certificates not approved on Mozilla help sites, google etc. Some Web sites are displayed in plain text, in particular the support pages. Also, it does not play youtube videos - they're starting to buffer and then an error pops up. Uninstalling Firefox and deleting the profile manually do not help, when I run it again it stil has these issues. This stopped after you have reinstalled the OS, but I really don't want to do this again. Thunderbird shows that our private mail server's certificate is not approved, it also has problems with displaying certain messages (not reliable too). All other web browsers works fine. We checked today and it also happened on our new ultrabook with Windows 10, but when we updated Firefox and restored the profile with MozBackup on our old laptop - he didn't plant as on other computers. It seems to happen only with freshly installed Firefox and Thunderbird.Could you help us somehow? Is that caused new versions of these programs? I used FF and TB 38.4.0 42.0/43.0. Maybe you could just give me a solution to restore by default, so she would go as it has just been installed? Then we could migrate to Firefox Sync with our profiles.
We would be very grateful for any help from you.See you soon.
You have restored the cert8.db file?
There are security software such as Avast and Kaspersky and BitDefender and ESET which intercepts secure connections and sends its own certificate.
If you cannot inspect the certificate by "I understand the risks", then try this:
Open the "Add Security Exception" this URL chrome by pasting into the address bar of Firefox and check the certificate:
- chrome://pippki/content/exceptionDialog.XUL
In the field of location of this window, type or paste the URL of the Web site.
- retrieve the certificate via the button 'Get certificate '.
- Click on the "view..." button. "to inspect the certificate in the certificate display
You can check details such as the issuer and the certificate chain in the Details tab of the certificate display.
Check which is the issuer of the certificate.
If necessary, you can attach a screenshot that shows the display of the certificate. -

You have an "Old data Firefox" folder on the desktop?
When you refresh/Reset Firefox then created a new profile and some personal data (bookmarks, history, cookies, passwords, data form) are automatically imported.
The current profile folder will be moved to "Old data Firefox" folder on the desktop.
Installed extensions and other customizations (toolbars, Pref.) that you have made are lost and must be redone. You can use one of them to retrieve an existing profile or create a new default profile for Firefox:
- Remove the profiles.ini file to make Firefox create a new profile (default)
- Use the Profile Manager to create a new profile
If you have an existing profile, then click on "Choose a folder" in the Profile Manager and navigate to the location of a profile lost to recover this profile
https://support.Mozilla.org/KB/managing+profiles
You should find the file profiles.ini in this hidden place:
- Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\
* C:\Users\ < user > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\ - Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox /.
- Linux: ~/.mozilla/firefox/
If the file profiles.ini compensation does not work then also check the location of the cache files.
- Windows: * C:\Users\ < user > < profile > \AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\.
- Mac: ~/Library/Caches/Firefox/Profiles/
- Linux:~/.cache/Mozilla/Firefox/
You can also try to rename/delete the MozillaFirefox folder in the two above mentioned places (main, cache).

It's pretty frustrating for me because I often have several tabs open with I'm working on other things that I don't want to close. I would appreciate any advice. Thank you

Tabs, windows and lost after updating to Firefox and page seems gross
I don't think that you have respect for those who use Firefox. Do you understand how many of us work for the House and need this platform to work for our COMPANY? I think you play games with users, at our expense.
So furious that I must try to solve your problems when I have to work. Last night you gave me a message to try to refresh. You said that everything would be saved.
I TRUSTED YOU. Available on the page at the top has been terrible, and I don't know where my addons went. Still, it seems impractical. but at least my tabs were all there.
Today, you have LOST ALL MY TABS except the ones pinned. All the windows gone, too. I copied the sqlt places of my old Firefox Desktop data to the new folder AppData profile several times. Never worked. FF just kept coming back to show me the pinned tabs.
Really, you evaluate these things first? I want to completely delete this useless refresh and come back when things worked.
WPAPlease, take a deep breath. Now:
There is no way one click to cancel a refresh, but here is a procedure to return to your prior to refresh the data. It takes 5 minutes, but it's perhaps faster than the recovery of individual files and load those into your new profile.
Check in the folder 'Old data Firefox' update adds a folder with a random semi name on your desktop. If there is only one, that probably has your old settings and Add-ons. If there is more than one, you'll want to work with one who has been updated recently.
Once you have identified the profile folder, that you want to restore, here is my "old profile resurrection suggested procedure:
Overview
Here are the steps described in more detail below:
- Create a new Firefox profile
- Delete all of this profile folder
- Copy in all of the old profile folder
Create a new profile for Firefox (Windows)
Exit Firefox completely and start up in the Profile Manager by pasting the following text in the search box of the start menu, or the start > Run dialog box and pressing ENTER:
firefox.exe -P
Note: any time want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog box.
Click on the button create a profile, give it a name like OldSettings and skip the option to change the location of the folder. Select the new profile from the dialog box, and then start Firefox.
Open the new profile folder in Windows Explorer
Firefox in the new profile should look like a new installation of the plant. Open the troubleshooting information page by using either:
- button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
- Menu help > troubleshooting information
- type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table, click on the view file"" button. Firefox will launch your new profile folder in Windows Explorer.
This folder open, switch back to Firefox and get out by using either:
- "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
- (menu bar) File > Exit
Firefox is closed, the profile folder must be front and Center, or you can activate it by using the taskbar.
Copy old data instead of new
In this new profile folder you just popped open - NOT the one on your desktop - select all content (you can use Ctrl + a) and delete (you can press Delete on the keyboard).
Leave this window open, open or switch to your folder of old data of Firefox. Consult your old profile folder. At this level, you should see a folder named bookmarkbackups among other things.
Select all (Ctrl + a) and copy (or right-click > copy or Ctrl + c).
Switch to the empty profile folder in another window and paste (or right-click > paste or Ctrl + v). This may take a few minutes because some files are large.
Launch Firefox
Firefox should start in this 'new' profile with the old resurrected profile data. Success?

Hello. I installed the latest update of Firefox and when I start a new tab page displays not now my google input line. I use Windows 10. Until the recent update (v4.1.01) each time I started a new tab the new page would show the google search entry line which is my default. Can help you to restore this feature? TKS
Hi, 41 of Firefox, you must use the add-on tab override (browser.newtab.url replacement), to make changes to the page tab.
Once installed, open the Add-ons (Ctrl + Shift + A) Manager > Extensions, and then look for the new tab override and click Options to set your preference.
Notice, if you want only the new tab to be the same as your home page, you can use the Add on new tab homepage instead.
You will then need to restart Firefox for all changes to take effect.
If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.

Mac Book Pro stops unexpectedly during startup. I can get it to go to my office, if I continually move the mouse during the boot, but after I launched Firefox and try to do anything, it will stop. If I try to run the scans of security or reinstall OS X using the command + R and disk utilities, it stops. Sometimes it gives me a box saying something about stopping with various options such as Cancel, stop, reboot, etc., but it makes no difference that I click on, she stops. Sometimes, I get no warning at all. This can be corrected? I'm not savvy Mac.
Reset the SMC could solve problem then.

Is to entrust a part of Firefox and it does take hostage Trusteer report?
I'm using Firefox on a Windows 8.1desk top 40.0.2 and Trusteer report seems to have been turned off and Entrust claims to be grateful one (and only one) of my financial sites. I have not download Entrust, but is it a part of Firefox and downloaded on my computer like that?
I contacted the company asking if it was malware or were they legitimate (I just don't expect a useful response to a group of malware!) and I quickly received a reply from an account specialist. I have attached the answer below:
"Please contact Datacard Entrust. The reason why you see the green bar in the address box is because investment companies that getaway you show that they have bought much safer security certificate entrusted Datacard. This isn't something that that could be downloaded. In the future if you see this green bar, you will know that you are visiting a secure site. If you would like more information on Datacard entrust you are welcome to visit www.entrust.com
Moreover, after playing well, I Trusteer run correctly - with some overlap between the sites that cover both services.

Key press a single key seed to type QWERTY in sequence on each press. The virtual keyboard works very well.
The keyboard has no problem in other programs [except Chrome]
Upgrade Windows 10 was last week and everything was fine until today when the Tuesday updates have been installed.
Have tried to reinstall the keyboard drivers, used a different keyboard and change the settings of the keyboard, but to no avail.
Obviously something to do with browsers because it only affects Firefox and Chrome [why not explore / Edge?] ... then tried to reset the settings and then reinstall... but again without success.
Any help would be welcome.
Found it... took off Zonealarm and all is well again.
I forgot Zonealarm has also updated that day... don't know why it only affected Firefox and Chrome but not flight attendants.
ZoneAlarm are behind the curve on Windows 10 and of course always, haven't paid the stable version.

I have google as my default homepage on my Mac. This morning when I opened Firefox Google home page fills the entire page, there is no menu or toolbar at the top of the page. I tried to click on F11 but it fills just the search bar with an f. I tried right clicking and clicking on 'ESC' but which does nothing. I tried to screw up my version of Firefox and download a new version, but when I opened it, it opened to the Google home page and there's still once a menu or toolbar. I did not restart my computer once I downloaded the new version of Firefox. I'll try that right now.
On Mac, command + shift + f should also switch between normal view and full screen.
Another method that may work is to drag the pointer of the mouse completely to the top of the screen. If the tab slides to the bottom bar, you can right click (Ctrl + click?) an empty area of the top (or right click on the button '+') and you should get a context menu runs with the option for Mode full-screen output.
Does it work?

Instead use a link on the MSN page to make your homepage, try to use one of the techniques in this article to support: How to set the home page.
Some users have accidentally lost their home page and modules using the Refresh function during their update. This can happen when you see a prompt that Firefox is slow at the start and you can speed it up by restoring some default settings. If you click this button, your Firefox settings folder is moved to your desktop in a folder called old data from Firefox. Do you see something like that? If so, I suggest hanging for a few weeks, in the case where you notice something else missing. Feel free to ask questions about the rescue of the data in this folder.

Restart Firefox and getting back all of the previous tabs
Thus, every once in a while, I have a lot of tabs open, FF freezes and it restarts or Windoze requires a reboot. Very good except when one an update of FF is staged, or as this time I lose my tabs of 30-40 because apparently, I need to know that the Pocket came to Firefox. Restore previous sessions, greyed out, I appear to be roasted. Be sick of it by now, losing most is great but I really wanted some of them sitting there without having to be on bookmark, no way to get my tabs when this happens almost once a week now?
Sorry for the delay in responding. Could you're looking for a historical file of session before update here:
Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help
- button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
- (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
- type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button.
In the window that launches, scroll down and double-click on folder sessionstore-backups . Save all the files here to a safe place, such as your Documents folder.
Note: If you do not see a current (updated in the last few minutes) the file here recovery.js, then your Firefox cannot save the session correctly history. By default, Windows hides the .js extension. To make sure that you look at the files I mentioned, you can disable this feature. This article has the steps: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/wi.../show-hide-file-name-extensions
I am particularly interested in finding would be most recent who follows this naming scheme:
Upgrade.js -build_id - for example - upgrade.js - 20150525141253
This file must contain the windows and tabs in Firefox session which was live during your last update.
No recent data do you like that?
This file is not human readable, but can be 'paid' for your current session history file restore the session of that time. If this sounds to it's worth a try:
(1) upward to the main floor of the profile folder (whoever opened since Firefox, until you have clicked on in sessionstore-backups).
(2) leave this window open, go back to Firefox and:
(A) as appropriate, to bookmark the tabs that you will want to come back (Ctrl + d to different tabs, or save all of the tabs in the window, right-click on a tab > bookmark all tabs)
(B) then exit Firefox completely using either:
- "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
- (menu bar) File > Exit
Break while Firefox finishing his cleaning, then rename sessionstore.js to something like sessionstore.old (in the case where this all else fails and you need it back).
(3) copy the upgrade.js - 20150525141253 (or newer of same named file) in the profile folder and rename sessionstore.js
(4) start Firefox back up again. You may need to use history > restore previous Session if Firefox does not automatically restore windows and tabs.
Success?
