Firefox blocks Cookies

When visiting www.cheathappens.com I have to connect each time, that he was never like that. Then log in every time l click on a link on the site I am disconnected. The admins of this site say that something is blocking cookies. I'm set up to receive cookies and tried to suppress totally AdBlock Plus and still no luck. Some users told me they use AdBlock Plus, and that you do not encounter this problem, as was the case for me until just the last two months. Any ideas?

Problem solved. It was my antivirus, ESET NOD32. I had to add Deadspace2 to the URL addresses allowed in the advanced settings. Never had this problem with ESET before, so I never thought to look there. Thanks for all the help.

  • Firefox blocks some ads (non-secure content)

I noticed since the update 41 Firefox crashes some adsense ads from time to time, but not always.
When this happens Firefox displays an icon on the PlayBar to address
"Firefox blocks the content of this page.
    and
    "Unsafe content.

If I run Firefox in safe mode, I still get the same problem. The pages are served over http, not https if it matters. I can't disable protection manually and it works, but I wonder if this is a problem with some insecurities ads by Google, or Firefox incorrectly reports certain advertisements as non-secure.

OK - http://www.gstatic.com - is a non-secure server and Firefox do not have mixed content like this on a page secure otherwise.

  • Latest Firefox block reported attack sites...

Hi all, in the latest version of Firefox, the option "firefox block reported attack sites" is enabled by default. My question is, mettle is listed as one of these Web sites. I use mettle to allow people to download photos from events that I cover without having to affect the speed of my site... granted some might use mettle for wrong reasons, but not all.
So, what can I do? Not all visitors to my website would have the knowledge to turn this setting off...

Block page has been enabled by default for years, but blocking download has been added more recently, perhaps around early March when there was a wave of messages on it.

The list of bad sites come from secure Google service. Downloads of Firefox updated lists of blocking at regular intervals. It is questionable to block a whole file, hosting site based on a bad user, so I hope that the next iteration of the data file removes the block; We are all at the mercy of the data on it.

To check where your date file has been updated, you can watch here (type or paste into the start menu search box and press enter or use the Windows Run dialog box):

    %LOCALAPPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

It's the cache and temporary files folder corresponding to your active profile folder. Double-click your most recently updated and secure profile folder. Normally, you will find that the files have been updated within the last day.

Firefox has gone downhill the way in many ways...

I respectfully disagree with you about Firefox...

The code of Firefox is so bad that I only use it as a last resort. Constantly, it crashes and has done this on several PCs in 2 or 3 years.

In any case thanks for the suggestions, but it turned out malware that Panda deleted.

If Firefox is a 'last resort', why you use it to check your emails? Do you use Google Chrome to access Google mail? I've never had problems with Firefox, then maybe I'm just lucky.

Added the: Chrome and IE are coded by companies funded by programmers. Firefox is a program open source funded through donations to not-for-profit, which means that's what users are doing. If the 'bad code' is probably just different, not bad.

  • Blocking Cookies, something does not work on several sites.

When I block Cookies, something does not work.
For example, to twitter.com (of cource displaying the connection or the login page, since cookies off).
Drop-down menu language selection don't work. and I can't get anything to textbox on password.
I know that I can not connect when off cookies.
I want to know the reasons for which some components do not work.

Sites can keep track of you among thousands of visitors by adding a unique code to address either by the use of cookies. If the site only uses cookies, blocking cookies will make each application looks like a new visit from a stranger. Configured with a single application preferences will be lost on the next page load.

That shouldn't stop you from typing in a form, but the site may have a script that checks if you accept cookies and different features on active and disables the basis on what he discovered.

  • Why do I get a warning that firefox blocks a popup announcement whenever I check my yahoo mail?

When I try to check my mails the page shakes and I get a warning saying firefox were blocking a pop-up ad. Above all, it happens on yahoo

This seems particularly dramatic. I think that I just get an information bar under the toolbar area when Firefox blocks an inlay menu. The information bar has a button that has a few choices and shows the URL of the popup. What do you see at all?

  • Yahoo said firefox blocks flash

I X10.7.3 of the OS and the latest Flash, but he says always firefox blocks flash when I'm in my yahoo email. How should I do?

Here is what happened: last week, Adobe updated the way they report the Flash version (no Firefox version but the Flash version) as part of a Flash update. It seems that Yahoo Mail didn't update their code to properly control and so it seems (for them) that Flash does not work (they can see that you have installed but does not have the code to check version).

As you probably figured out, you're not actually blocked Flash and this must be affixed to the side of Yahoo.
