  a PC Tech solved my two problems.  The technicians. have a file of certificates on one of their servers.  He who ran and it updated the certificate allowing IE to connect Adobe to Adobe.com.  Second, I received a "No. Internet Connection" message when you try to run the CreativeCloudSetup file.  We started Symantec Enpoint Protection and then stopped again.  It worked.  It doesn't matter that I had already turned off.  Restarted the PC several times.  Start and stop worked.  Hope this helps someone else out there.

  How can I get rid of this irritating pop-up message whenever outlook is open?

  Without knowing what are certificate errors, it is a shot-in-the-dark.

  80 90% of certificate in Windows XP errors can be attributed to one of the following two issues:

  1. Time Date, time, time zone, or light of day on your computer is/is not set correctly.  The time on your machine should be within 5 minutes of real time for certificates authenticate properly.  Right-click on your taskbar clock, and select time settings to check the correct time.  Synchronize time via Internet can solve this problem.
  2. Windows XP does a poor job of keeping its root certificates (certificates by which all other certificates are considered) up-to-date.  The newer versions of Windows did a much better job.  It certainly wouldn't hurt to update your root certificates and in many cases, this is all you need.  For update, visit the following article:

     Then go down to the subsection titled "root Update Package (for Windows XP only).  Then click on the option "update for root certificates for Windows XP...   Hi all, in the latest version of Firefox, the option "firefox block reported attack sites" is enabled by default. My question is, mettle is listed as one of these Web sites. I use mettle to allow people to download photos from events that I cover without having to affect the speed of my site... granted some might use mettle for wrong reasons, but not all.
  So, what can I do? Not all visitors to my website would have the knowledge to turn this setting off...

  Block page has been enabled by default for years, but blocking download has been added more recently, perhaps around early March when there was a wave of messages on it.

  The list of bad sites come from secure Google service. Downloads of Firefox updated lists of blocking at regular intervals. It is questionable to block a whole file, hosting site based on a bad user, so I hope that the next iteration of the data file removes the block; We are all at the mercy of the data on it.

  To check where your date file has been updated, you can watch here (type or paste into the start menu search box and press enter or use the Windows Run dialog box):

  It's the cache and temporary files folder corresponding to your active profile folder. Double-click your most recently updated and secure profile folder. Normally, you will find that the files have been updated within the last day.

  What security (firewall, antivirus) software do you have?

  Some monitor of secure connections and send their own certificate instead.

  Newly installed Firefox and it does not start! Safe mode works and I tried the list "Firefox blocks - troubleshoot, prevent and get help fixing crashes" solutions without success.
  There is an add-on called HP Smart Web Printing 4.60 listed as being incompatible with Firefox 37.0.1, which I deleted. Did not work.
  I then disabled / set to never activate all plugins listed. Nothing helps.
  Discovered on Waterfox for the 64 bit OS. Too crashed.

  I find that a Google Talk ID, I used since iChat 3 sign is no longer using the SSL protocol and will always yield a nonsecure connection.

  This is despite me setting the element 'insecure Apps' at Google and by changing the name of the server and setting the Ports and SSL on my Mac.

  Something always seems to substitute for settings for the Autodiscover Port and the server that takes the parameter disable SSL.

  IT seems that the name of the server is therefore more talk.google.com either.

  Updated to 33.0.2 and now on some self-signed sites that use my internal network servers, I get the Secure Connection failed Firefox 33.0.2 (certificate Secure Connection failed sender is invalid.) Error code: sec_error_ca_cert_invalid). Sites are used to administer my internal servers and have current certificates. Is there a work around or fix for this problem? I should stay on older versions of FF.

  You can try Firefox in Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. I think that it is an extension.

  • Run firefox.exe - safe-mode in the search bar in the Start Menu. (Make sure Firefox is closed)

  Have you added new extensions recently around the time this started happening? The details of your system displays the following:

  I suggest you try the following steps.

  Step 1:

  If you use Windows Firewall, disable the firewall and check the status of the issue.

  If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

  Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

  Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

  At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

  When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
