Firefox crashes at random, leaving no crash info

Firefox crashes randomly. I tried all the fixes I could find in the support forums. It crashes in safe mode. I've updated all the Add-ons. There is no crash report. I created a new user. I have search for viruses and malware

ID of the Crash

No crash reports have been submitted.

Firefox 3.6.3 has done this for me recently and it's out of the blue. It has worked very well so far and I don't know what is the cause of crash randomly.

  • Firefox crashes when I click on help > troubleshooting info

Firefox has recently started to crash on certain Web sites. It started as a shockwave error or slow extension script. After my first reinstalled this problem stopped, but still would break on other sites. I completely reinstalled Firefox, started in safe mode, no plugins and it still crashes on some sites. When it crashes it does not offer a report of the accident. If I click on help > troubleshooting info, it crashes.

We are sorry to hear that Firefox crashes. To better help you, please follow the steps below to provide us with crash IDs to help us learn more about your accident.

  • Firefox crashes when opening and randomly - Windows XP.

What I saw, is that FireFox crashes on most start-ups. It also blocks at random. He experienced, he did this in safe mode, too. He has done this before that plug-ins have been installed, and he does it since FireFox 12 or 13 of FireFox.

Curiously, my folder where incident reports SHOULD go is completely empty.

    Current version: 22.0

    What I'd do here?

    Hello

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

    Then perform the following steps:

    • Click on the orange top left Firefox button, then select the 'Options' button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to tools > Options.
    • In the Firefox options window, click the Advanced tab, and then select 'General '.
    • You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
    • Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

In addition, please check the updates for your graphics driver by following the steps in the following knowledge base articles:

  • Firefox crashes several times a day. I haven't found one yet. It crashes randomly, I guess.

Firefox crashes. I think that Facebook is still running. I tried in safe mode and with all plugins disabled but it keeps crashing randomly. A few days without accidents at all. A few days three crashes in one minute.

This seems to have solved the problem:

Repair of TCP/IP stack for use with Vista or 7 options.

Start - all programs - accessories and do right click on command prompt, select "Run as Administrator" to open a command prompt.

Restore the default install WINSOCK entries: netsh winsock reset catalog

Reset the battery TCP/IP IPv4 default installation. netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log

Reset the battery TCP/IP IPv6 default installation. netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log

    Reboot the computer.

  • Firefox crashed at random during the loading of a youtube video, and after you restart firefox no flash program wouldn't work on the browser

I was watching a youtube video.
    Firefox crashes randomly.
    Restart Firefox
Do not load the YouTube videos.
Other Web sites that uses flash to not load.
Tried the upgrade to a more recent flash, although 11.3 causes use of the CPU for a reason, so I upgraded to 11.2
    Videos do not load.

    Hello

You can try to Uninstall and reinstall Flash. If the problem persists you can also temporarily disable Flash in (Alt + T) Tools > Addons > Plugins and try the HTML5 videos wherever possible. Most of the videos without ads embedded have equivalents of HTML5. You can also try opening the problematic sites in IE Tab + or IE Tab in Firefox.

  • Firefox crashes randomly displaying webistes

Only at random, 13 Firefox crashes when visiting a Web site. I checked for malware, and there is none. Safe mode means the same question. In addition, there are a few problems where Firefox would just stop responding. He wouldn't say no does not, but the program just hangs and I have to go into the Task Manager and kill the process. The new flash update would have something to do with it? Flash 11.3 due to serious problems with Firefox.

This is a problem with the Flash plugin

You can check the problems caused by a recent update of Flash 11.3 and possibly upgrade to Flash 11.2 or 10.3.

  • Firefox crashes randomly and without warning

    Hello

I have a problem with my Firefox crashing constantly, any Web page I'm on. Sometimes it crashes after I've been online for a few minutes, sometimes it crashes immediately on startup. I just never know when it's going down, but he always does. I completed all the steps listed on the Web site of your support:

       Update your software
           Update Firefox
           Update your plugins
           Update Windows
           Update your drivers
           Update your Internet Security software
       Check for viruses or spyware
Check to see if the crash happens in safe mode.

I did all that, and the crash always happens in Mode without failure. I am still able to connect for a few minutes between the accidents, but as you can imagine is pretty boring. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Everytime I open Firefox I get a message: "an attempt to change your home page has been blocked" and firefox crashes

Everytime I open Firefox I get a message: "an attempt to change your home page has been blocked" and firefox crashes.
I unintalled (on my MAC) and reinstalled twice. Makes no difference. Any suggestions?

Could you try starting Firefox in Safe Mode? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

Does not work if Firefox: Hold down the option key when starting Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
    • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

    and OK reboot.

Two scenarios: A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not update).

    Any improvement?

While you are in Mode without failure, you could copy a list of your extensions and paste them into an answer? The best place for this is the support information page - either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

Scroll down to the Extensions section, and then select from there until the end of the following table with the mouse and copy. Then paste into a response. It may seem a bit messy but don't worry, we're used to it.

In addition, if you check your homepage settings, he changed? This article explains where to find that page preferences: start-up, homepage, tabs and download settings.

  • container plugin Firefox crashes when you try to connect to GMail

I changed my password on one of my Google mail accounts, and now I can not connect; Firefox Container Plugin breaks down. I put my new password, and then as soon as I put in the verification code, Firefox crashes. None of my other accounts for that. How can I resolve this - it's not a question of GMail.

Because Flash is the more commonly used plugin, could temporarily block you Flash on Google. Here's how I suggest you do:

On a search on google.compage, open the Panel of permissions of the Page Info dialog box using one of these:

    • Right-click the page and choose View Page Info > permissions
    • (menu bar) Menu Tools > Page Info > permissions
    • Click the icon of padlock or globe to the left of the address of the site > additional information > permissions

In the upper part, find Adobe Flash and change the parameter block. This should apply not only in research, but also to the login page and Gmail.

    Does make a difference?

    What could be wrong?
    Thank you.

You might try using a new profile. It might be hard to go at least a whole day without your pets addons, bookmarks, and history... the bookmarks are fairly easy to copy.

    Create a new Firefox profile

This is in addition and does not replace your existing settings.

A new profile will be your plugins installed by system (for example, Flash) and extensions (e.g., security suite toolbars), but no themes, other extensions or other customizations. It should also come with fresh data bases of completely fresh settings and a cache folder.

Out of Firefox and start in the profile using Start Manager > Search box (or run) - type or paste the following and press ENTER:

    firefox.exe -P

    Do not delete anything here.

Any time want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog box.

Click on the button to create a profile, assign a name like April8 and ignore the possibility of changing the location of the folder. Then launch Firefox in the new profile that you have created.

It might take some time to determine if the new profile works better than the old. If you want to import your Favorites from your regular profile in the meantime, here's how:

You can use the dialog library (Ctrl + Shift + b or "Show all bookmarks") to access the restore feature. The trick is to know where to find your bookmark backups in your regular profile. After clicking on file... you can paste this into the space of file name and press ENTER to drill down to your profile folders:

    %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

The semi-randomly-named folder that has your last backup is generally the one that ends with "failure". Click in that one, and then in the folder bookmarkbackups . Here you can choose the most recently updated to restore file.

Important: restoring a backup bookmark clears all bookmarks currently in your current Firefox profile and replaces it with the contents of the backup file.

In my view, it is also reasonable to install AdBlock Plus, Restorer of classic theme, and Status4Evar, like those who, by themselves, are not likely to be at the origin of this apparently rare problem. But I wouldn't add all your extensions to the time in the new profile, and if many show extensions system installed, you can disable those you don't actually use.

Each of these error reports is caused by something related to Covenant eyes monitoring

You have something like that installed on your PC?
Or is that what Firefox crashing on the CovenantEyes.com site?
I had Firefox "blocks" repeatedly while this Web site has been opened in Firefox.

  • Firefox crashes at startup, even after complete reinstallation. No add-on.

Everytime I open FF, it freezes completely within 5 seconds. I uninstalled and reinstalled, I deleted all traces of its data using Revo uninstaller & FF, then reinstalled and still get the same results. I saw where malware can cause this kind of problem, so I ran full scans with Microsoft Security Essentials, Malwarebytes, security of Microsoft and Kaspersky Security scanner Scanner. They all came clean.

I would love to submit an accident report, but apparently these accidents are not generating them. The only thing in AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash reports is an InstallTime file, as of today (the date of my last reinstall). I can not also add troubleshooting information, as FF crashes before I can add something.

This is exactly what is happening: I run FF, sensitive whish for the first couple seconds. After that, it freezes completely and finally "(ne répond pas) ' is added to the title bar." A little later, Windows is displayed, asking if I want to find a solution. That's all.

    Win 7 Pro, FF 18.0.2.

The FF window appear even when I tried to start it in safe mode (I had to kill the process), so I restarted my computer in safe mode, and it worked. Looking at msconfig to find what could be the cause of the problem, I found a suspicious entry I was able to confirm a malware that missed all the scans. For reference, it's in AppData/Roaming/Elryu/onmo.exe. I'm sure it was randomly generated names, but I think it's important to mention.

    Everything works perfectly now.

Thanks for your help - mainly just, I didn't know where to start with my FF troubleshooting, cause I never had problems with it before.

  • Firefox crashes at start-up since the update of FF 18

After update automatically to FF18, Firefox crashes every time at startup. I read the article on Malware doing this, ran malwarebytes antibytes and kapersky but they didn't pick up anything. It's really a pain in the thigh.

I was wondering if ayone else had this problem or someone had some advice on how to fix this?

    Thank you

Hello dbs123FF, according to the accident report you presented it seems that the accident is malware associated with, as you have already suspected it. the malicious file on your pc, causing the crash is named yohgfrgg.dll (randomly generated file name).

According to reports from other users, that it must be detected by the microsoft and kaspersky security scan security scan. If kaspersky did not work for you, try also to microsoft product:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/default.aspx
