Defrag error message

Hello

A few months ago got real problems start - 24 hours support. A lot of "configuration" type of correction messages. twice I let the system take its course. I think that the free version of AVG that I thought that I had loaded had in fact never properly installed so I paid for McAfee and bought a registration system. 374 system errors found and corrected. Thought I was "on my way", I have defrag'd and ' slow system works. (28% free space)

The registry check regularly find errors, most of which are personal shortcuts (or a similar phrase). I do not know how to find these so I can delete them - if that is what is necessary.

Last XP running very slowly. Defrag has begun. has taken hours to spend 32%; has had to cancel as the moment of sunset! has started this morning and prog started to analyze. 93% got this message. "the scan has been canceled because an error occurred in the file: C:\Recycled\Dc107" there is no prompt to help 'fix' this error. Everyone recognizes this sentence?

Get very frustrated!

If you used a registry cleaner you probably deleted something he needed.

I would recommend a complete reinstallation, but maybe someone else can help you isolate a problem.

Original title: memory problem & Defrag.

I have a problem of the 2 part that has been building.  I get error messages whenever I have try to defragment, & then the Defragmenter stops.  I was just let go of the problem.  But then I noticed that I lost the memory space.  I deleted almost all of the programs that I can, but I still only 277MB of available memory (less than 1%).  I don't know what is using all my hard drive space.  There are only a few programs installed.  I'm also 99% fragmented.  Defrag won't work without releasing the memory of 15%, but even if I HAD the memory, all I ever get is an error message when I try to defragment.  Now, my computer is so slow, it takes about 3 minutes to open a web page.  As it should be obvious, I'm not all that tech savy.  What can I do?

Right-click your drive (C :) and select Properties, click on disk cleanup, select the file that you want to remove and read the details below.) Put a check mark in the box of files that you want to remove and click OK.

Now again click on disk cleanup and click on more Options tab ignore Windows components and programs installed.

Under the system restore click clean up, and then click Yes if you do not experience other problems besides those that you mention in your message.

Now, try to run Defrag and if you are unable to read the article below.

It seems that my PC was unable to make an update of windows properly for a month now, and after having searched today, of Ox80070002 and Ox8007000D error messages come with updates.  I followed the advice of Microsoft online, but he is still unable to download the many updates.  As it also erases the log showing what are the files to download, I can now show you only those below.  I do not see anywhere how to ensure that these updates are downloaded successfully, so please can you help me?

Another suggestion, maybe a little maintenance hard disk as 'check disk' and 'defrag' can help to install the updates. This could be the cause of corruption, updates if the hard disk is fragmented badly etc.

  • Error message saying no disk space on recovery drive E

I have a laptop Dell Inspiron which is only a few months old and I use Vista Home Premium. I constantly receive an error message indicating that the recovery E: disk space is full. I went to the computer to check the available disk space and the bar is completely RED for drive E: of recovery. I have a lot of available memory on drive C: I tried to Defrag disk and disk cleanup. Disk Cleanup says 0 bytes will be released by empty my trash. That's because my basket is empty! I deleted all temporary internet files. I did a virus scan. I tried to save recovery E: files to an external site, but could not do this. I tried to delete the files and received a warning message if I did not complete this task. I copied the files to a folder of Documents, but that solves nothing. I called Dell Support and they said something on the partition. I tried to create my backup disks, but this error seems to be the way because he won't let me do this or the other. I cleaned my images and deleted all of the videos. I did everything that I know to free up space. I don't want to disable the error message, as some have suggested. I tried previously posted questions and answers on the forum, but I am unable to find my EXACT problem. If it is there, then I don't understand computer Lingo. My laptop is only a few months old, so I haven't added a large number of files. Why is that happening and how can I solve the problem? Please help!

Dell computers are shipped with a recovery partition you can use to restore the computer to the way it was when it was new (usually by pressing F12 when the computer starts).   The problem is not that the recovery partition is almost full.  The problem is that Windows Vista should not access that partition at all and shouldn't the user.

To delete the partition of Windows Vista and avoid the error message, remove the drive letter:

    1. click on the Start button.
2 type diskmgmt.msc in the Search box and press enter .
    3. click continue at the user account control prompt.
    4. when the disk management window, right-click the E: partition, click change drive letter and paths... and click Remove .
    5. click on Yes .

    Data loss caveat:

Converting a hard disk partition or volume from NTFS to FAT32 requires that you reformat the partition, which deletes all the data on this subject. Be sure to back up data that you want to keep before you begin.

    For the anti-virus scanning:

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

To run all the applications of the laptop or install download applications works does not error message indicating that the application is not valid "win32.exe or win32.application.

    Hello m.velentino,

Not sure if you are still having the error message isn't valid win32.applicaiton.

Get the error: not a valid 32-bit application can have several origins:
I have listed some of them below.

The file is corrupted, bad or missing.
-If the hard disk is damaged or hurt it cause work programs to fail, either because not all data can be read from the hard drive the program is damaged on the drive. Run scandisk and defrag on the hard disk to check for potential errors.
-If you run the program from a shortcut on the computer, verify that the program is still on the computer. In some cases if the program is no longer installed on the computer, you can get this error.

File is not designed for your version of Windows:
-If you try to run a program that is not designed for your version of Windows, you can get this error.
-Although many old programs designed to work in older versions of Windows will work with new versions of Windows, unfortunately, not all programs will not work.
-If the program is an MS-DOS program more former start program or Windows, you can get this error.
-If the program is designed for a 64-bit version of Windows and you are running in a 32-bit version of Windows, it will not work and generate this error.

File is a virus, worm or other malicious program file.
    -
This error can be generated by a file that is a virus, worm, Trojan horse or other type of malware file. Often, this will result because the antivirus installed on the computer will not allow the file to install or run. Try to analyze the file to check, it is not a virus or infected.
-If the file has been checked and is clean, it is always possible that the virus protection program or a another program installed on the computer is at the origin of questions during installation or execution of the program. Start the computer in Mode safe and try to run the program. start the computer in Mode safe will be that nothing is running in the background that could cause this problem.

    Hardware incompatibility.

-If you get this error during the installation of a program, it is also possible that the CD-ROM drive or the drive that you are installing the program from is not compatible with Windows or has drivers that are not compatible with Windows.
-Download the latest drivers for your CD player or other of the manufacturer of the computer or the manufacturer of the equipment. (Microsoft does not pilot for other materials)

Let us know if these suggestions help you.
