  A question, people have identified with YouTube in particular is a conflict with some rules for AdBlock Plus. I didn't keep track of the details, but if the problem becomes limited to YouTube, definitely try to make an exception if you use this extension.

  Facebook videos can use HTML5 player instead of Flash Player Plugin.

  An easy way to see if you can play HTML5 video in Firefox is to go to https://www.youtube.com/html5/ , as should be all blue checkmarks.

  Since you have the old EOL WinXP and not Vista or later, you may not be able to play HTML5 without workarounds.
