Firefox hangs my computer everything.

Recently (only Started This year) Firefox was blocking my computer while forcing me to do a hard restart. I am beyond upset at the moment. Barely able to type my sentences and... for those of you who tell me to calm down. I lost hours of work in this, and not to mention it can royally screw up my computer. Is why Firefox now all of a sudden crashing my computer? After using it for 6 years and never had a problem, why now? What's the matter with you developers do a browser web I THOUGHT was the best. I can hardly control my rage, Firefox is the only web browser that functions properly when it does not crash my computer everything. I have a new installation of Firefox, addon, only I have AdBlock Plus. My computer is not some shit computer running Windows XP. I'm a graphic designer and need a good computer to run the programs I need, that's all what you need to know about my computer record. I have NO viruses, NO malware. So what's up, Firefox? Finished my rants. If anyone can fix in fact I'd be surprised.

Could you try disabling the use of Firefox graphics acceleration hardware? Sometimes a driver update will expose an incompatibility that causes serious problems.

You need to restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

the button Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) > Options > advanced

In the mini ' General' tab, uncheck the box for "use hardware acceleration when available.

If you restart Firefox, is the problem solved (or at least enhanced)?

Also, disable the safe_mode of Flash Player.

  • How can I register on Firefox Sync so that when I uninstall Mozilla Firefox from this computer and reinstall my settings for someone else, won't there?

Or just delete my settings and data in the Firefox folder that contains my profile only user on this computer, leaving the browser installed, but does not display my settings?

I want to assure you that all my settings and data will be always saved in my account of Mozilla Firefox, so that I can install the browser on a different computer and be able to connect to my account to see all my bookmarks, etc..

Nevermind, I figured it. Thank you.

For users having the same problem, I just uninstalled Mozilla Firefox from this computer went to the start menu and searched %AppData%, clicked on the "Roaming" and deleted the Mozilla folder. If it won't let you do this, make sure all the things Mozilla are closed and uninstalled. You can always sign in your Mozilla account on another computer or if you reinstall the browser on the same computer.

I uninstalled Firefox on my computer, then I reinstalled and tried to run, but this message appeared, "failed to load your Firefox profile. It may be missing or inaccessible"and Firefox does not open.

I tried press windows key + R on my computer and open %appdata%\Mozilla\ - and rename the folder labeled "Firefox", but he said that "the action cannot be complete because the folder or the file that is open in another program" I didn't open it and try to restart the pc, but still no help

A likely cause is a problem with the file profiles.ini and the profile marked as the default value = 1 in this file is no longer present on the hard drive.

    • Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\
      C:\Users\ < user > < profile > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\.
    • Linux: ~/.mozilla/firefox/
    • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox /.

You can use one of them to make the Creation/use of a new default profile for Firefox:

    • Remove the profiles.ini file to force Firefox to create a new default profile
    • Use the Profile Manager to create a new profile
    • Use "Choose a folder" when you create a new profile to select the location of a lost profile and recover this profile

  • Firefox blocks the computer (/ questions/963963)

    Hello!
I have a problem with Firefox H/W acceleration on my PC. When enabled, firefox hangs my system in the least expected moment (usually when I move my mouse just and stationary/point a link). I don't quite know what to do, because I love Firefox and there addons Firefox without H/W acceleration is just slow as molasses in January (especially on the sites AJAX and HTML5, it lags even during scrolling site).
Well... turn off the H/W acceleration seems to be the solution, but the work isn't as comfortable.
I have not noticed crashes during IE11 H/W acceleration enabled, and I couldn't check it out in Chrome just because I have not installed.

    My specs:
    OS: Windows 8.1 Pro
CPU: Intel Core i7 Sandy Bridge
    GPU: NVIDIA GTX 460
    RAM: 16 GB DDR3

Try the pref gfx.content.azure.enabled set to false or if this does not help disable Direct2D by setting the pref gfx.direct2d.disabled true on the subject: config page and leave hardware acceleration enabled otherwise.

This way you still have the advantage of hardware acceleration, but can not suffer rendering problems.
