Firefox is hitting my firewall on port 80. Which tries to access the gateway/firewall?

Linux firewall. When I launch firefox, I get loc2fw newspapers to dismiss on port 80. Is this a normal behavior? This should normally be associated with a virus tries to access a standard router. After the installation of a clean system, I still get these hits on my firewall. I used mozbackup to copy a few settings more from another machine.

Last note: this Post of MozillaZine indicates that noscript uses secure.informaction.com to determine the WAN IP address, and that the behavior can be disabled.

    This should be simple enough to change;

    1. Press Alt and clear view.
    2. In this menu, select Toolbars, followed by the bookmarks toolbar.

You can then the user details in this article to help manage your bookmarks. Everything that you put in the folder "Personal bar" should appear along the toolbar in Firefox for easy access when browsing the web.

  • Firefox has becomes slow and unresponsive after that I tried to install the addons (not installed)?

I recently format my computer and reinstall windows 7, since it was the only way I know of to solve the problem with Firefox (I already had this problem too). I download the latest version of firefox 33.0.2 and install it. This version was super fast. But becomes slow and unresponsive when I tried to install the Add-ons. I visited the official site of firefox and searching for addons, when I tried to install addons, Firefox crashed. Therefore, it has becomes quite slow and cannot restore previous sessions. Even to type my email address, it takes more than 5 minutes and reacts more frequently (after typing each letter).
I want to know if this is due to some viruses, or this version of firefox is not "stable".

    Hey there,

We are sorry to hear that Firefox crashes. To better help you, please follow the steps below to provide us with crash IDs to help us learn more about your accident.

    1. Enter Subject: hangs in the Firefox address bar and press ENTER. A list of submitted Crash reports will appear, similar to the one shown below.
    2. Copy the 5 most recent report ID begins with bp - and then back to your forum question but that stick in the box of "Post a response. (Please do not take a screenshot of your plant, just copy and paste the ID image below is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like)

Once you have done so, you could try the Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that disables certain parameters, disables most Add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • In Firefox 29,0 and above, click on the menu button

      click Help

then select restart with disabled modules.

    • In previous versions of Firefox, click on the Firefox button in the upper left of the Firefox window and click help (or click on help in the Menu bar, if you do not have a Firefox button) and click on restart with disabled modules.

If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Mode safe mode as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. Please follow the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

    I hope this helps!

  • Firefox.exe is suddenly gone, so ie11 tried to access the internet to reinstall, but it will not download - now what?

Hello everyone, newbie here with a weird problem. Looooong time FF user and could care less about IE or Chrome. I recently did a backup of my Acer Aspire One with Win7 Starter user, as I have before, to an external and everything seemed fine except when I tried to launch FF, I received a message that the shortcut can not locate "firefox.exe", I want to remove the shortcut? WTH? So I try the search of the entire computer for him and of course he went. So I try to reinstall FF with an .exe from a previous installation of upgrade and even though she acted as if it might work, but then I got the message "interrupted installation". Bleerg.

OK, so I opened IE11 here to download a new copy from scratch. IE seems to find the download page of Mozilla very well, but it displays a blank window. I see some elements of the download page, but not the necessary parts, which are visible on IE on my Toshiba (which I did to see what missed me). I tried the same thing with Chrome, just in case IE has, um, ignorant of Mozilla. No, same issue with her.

So now I run CCleaner Registry Cleaner to see what might appear and this is there are a handful of questions firefox.exe. As I am on my Toshiba to ask for help, I have to manually type in what I show on my Acer:

    Hello

Trying to access the web interface installation of VMware Server 2 running on Enterprise Linux 5 update 2 64-bit

using Mozilla Firefox 3.5 on XP causes Firefox to crash.

Previous Firefox 3.0.11 version was able to connect and log in successfully.

Everything in FF 3.5 cach has been deleted before trying to access the user interface. In addition, the certificate has also been removed before.

When you access the UI first with 3.5 ist ask to accept the certificate (identical to 3.0.11)

This will result in a blank page is displayed.

Closing FF 3.5 (clear cache included) and re-open it at the interface of the web UI that causes FF crash.

  • Last Firefox update turns off my USB2 ports.

My laptop worked fine, but then I hit a problem because my USB2 ports won't work; My USB3 ports was working but not 2.

I tied everything back to the 16 June when I installed the latest Microsoft and Intel Graphics update. Right now I've also updated Firefox to the latest version.

I couldn't solve the USB2 problem so did a restore of the system around June 12 and everything worked fine. I put the USB2 problem down to the Intel updated and reloaded all Microsoft patches and everything worked fine. Then I upgraded to Firefox and restart my USB2 ports do not work. A few minutes ago, I completely uninstalled Firefox, restarted the laptop and the USB ports are working fine again.

I guess that the last Firefox creates a conflict somewhere but where so I was wondering if someone might be able to help the goodness.

My system is running Windows 8.1 64-bit and I loaded Kaspersky Internet Security. As I said, everything was going fine until I updated Firefox with the latest patch. With no Firefox, now I had to Windows 11 as default.

    Thank you.

    Steve

Thanks for the suggestions - tried all that and v30 still knocks my USB2 ports.

I read on the Internet about other users lose their mouse touchpad once v30 has been installed, so I guess that Firefox is somehow contradictory in a way with particular laptops; mine being one of them.

In the end I found a link that allows me to install v29.0.1 and after having turned off the automatic updates, all is well again. I think I'll try an update again once us get around to v32, but in the meantime, I'm happy to stay with v29.0.1.
