    Hello!

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from mozilla.org office (or choose the download for your operating system and language on this page) and save the file to install it on your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (or open the Firefox menu

      Click the close button

      ).

    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

More information on the resettlement of Firefox can be found here.

WARNING: Do not use an uninstaller to third parties as part of this process. This could permanently delete your Firefox profile data, including but not limited to, extensions, cache, cookies, bookmarks, personal settings and passwords saved. They can be retrieved easily unless they have been backed up on an external device! See back up and restore the information contained in the profiles of Firefox.

  • Firefox will not update for firefox 42.0

I'm currently under Firefox 30.0. I know there is a newer version, but when I go on Firefox and click on search for the update, it is said that I am up to date. Is there a way of put without having to uninstall Firefox?

If he has problems with the update or with the permissions then best is to download the full version and trash the version currently installed to do a fresh install of the new version.

Download a new copy of the Firefox application and save the file to disk on the desktop image

Your personal data such as bookmarks are stored in the Firefox profile folder, so you will not lose data when you uninstall and (re) install or update Firefox, but make sure you do NOT delete personal data when you uninstall Firefox which removes all Firefox profile folders and you lose your data.

I tried to update Firefox on my desktop since version 33.0 I continue to download and upgrade or install day, but nothing changes. Gmail still says the browser is not supported, and Mozilla says I use an older version and need to update. I downloaded from different places - the links provided when he said outdated sound and go directly to Mozilla.org for download. In fact, I uninstalled Firefox and tried to install instead of upgrade. It does not help. My computer says I have the latest version, but the internet plays an older version. Also my "firefox" button and another add on buttons are missing from the navigation bar, so I can't check 'about' to see what version of the browser itself says that it is running. How can I fix it? • Firefox will not hold, but shows in the Task Manager, after updating graphics drivers from AMD 13.1.

    Hello

After update for drivers AMD 13.1 on my 5770, Firefox will not launch; It doesn't, however, appears in the Task Manager. I want to emphasize that it will boot into Windows safe mode; When I opened it in safe mode, I used this time to deactivate all plugins, modules, extensions and created a new profile. This did not help. I also tried launching Firefox in its safe mode and had no luck with that either.

I encountered this problem once before, when trying to upgrade to an earlier version. I think I was moving from 12.1 to 12.4, but I'm not 100% sure of that. In the end, my solution was then to retrograde back to my previous driver. The steps mentioned in the previous paragraph has not helped at that time, not do a complete reinstall.

experience of 15 years, and that computer repair baffled me.

More frequently on the (approximately 90% of attempts) that Dell (50% of attempts) Firefox will not display on the screen when I click the icon. Cannot display other programs when it happens. OK, let's see if we can solve this problem and make it work for you!

First of all, if you start Firefox in safe mode (restart your computer first, then when you open Firefox, hold down the SHIFT key) it starts more reliable? This is usually caused by a defective module. If this does not help, then restart Firefox, go to the Firefox, then add-ons button and disable your extensions one by one until you find the troublemaker.

Also, try to update to Firefox 11, it has several bug fixes that might make life easier here.

Had to do a restoration complete my xp machine and will not update, in the past, system automatically updated with cartridges of siema etc service?

What is happening, it is that it is so more the possibility of a user friendly hands on automatic update of Windows XP from a clean install.  Windows Update will NOT synchronize with and updated in the current order status to update a machine with a clean install of XP, but you separately download some patches and intermediate updates and apply them manually, to have a machine that connects a bit normally with Windows Update.

Install the last update cumulative security for the version of Internet Explorer you have currently is essential, and you need to download separately and install it before going any further.
