My digi 002 rack is an audio interface he has a female FireWire 400 (6-pin) connection on the back, the card I just bought is female (9pin) FireWire 800 to love at first sight. A cable FireWire which has 6-pin male to male 9 pin, will that link the two together?

I have two old Macs and an iphone 6, so thinking of buying a mac mini. I have an external drive 1 TB, I put in a shell that allows eSata, firewire 800 and 400 connectors, as well as USB. I would also like to whoever owned the DVD player inside.

  • Slow down the FireWire 800 Port

I'm rocking an iMac 2011 2.5 with 16 GB of RAM, running 10.11. Recently, I came to realize that my firewire drives are not as fast running they have on other Macs. I have two drives of Garland, a LaCie 2Big Triple and a G-Drive, both using Firewire 800. On two drives, I have a maximum of 60 MB/sec in reading, 40 MB/s write - tested using BlackMagic and AJA. I tried all the logical steps: swapping different cables, test drives individually [instead of Garland], reformat them and test again, all with the same result. I even tried to turn off FileVault on my internal drive, although I can't imagine why it would make a difference. These same readers have been tested in the same configuration with a 2011 MacBook Pro 13 ", also running El Capitan and saw regular speeds of 75 MB/s read, 70 MB/s in writing.

Anyone have any ideas? I would greatly appreciate any help you can offer.

Once more, here are the technical specifications of the equipment involved:

    • Mid 2011 iMac 21.5 ", i5 Quad 2.5 GHz, 16 GB RAM, 500 GB HARD drive. Running OS X 10.11.4 El Capitan.
    • G - Drive 5th generation, with Hitachi 7200 RPM 2 TB drive. formatted in HFS +, connected via FW800
    • LaCie 2Big Triple, with two 1 TB drives in a striped RAID.

    Only for small problems.

In OS X system prefs, under the energy saver, try to uncheck "put hard drives to sleep as much as possible."

In addition, try to set your display to sleep, but not your computer to sleep, to see if the car and transfer speeds pick up.

Make sure that you have no other devices FW 400 slower chained, as optical drives FW400 external, slower.

Connections by default FW protocols all speeds of data transfer for the slower speed of the FW Protocol devices.

    Good luck!

  • FireWire 800, USB 3.0

I have an older iMac that has a Firewire 800 port and no USB 3.0.

I would like to use the Firewire 800 port and convert it into a USB 3.0 with some sort of connection.

This way I can take advantage of the most recent items USB 3.0...

    Is this possible?

doubt firewire800 is slower then usb3, but many usb3 devices would probably work with just more slow usb2

  • HP Pavilion P2-1140 does not have a way to connect to a Firewire port and USB transfer is not supported by Windows 7 to connect the Sony HC20 Handycam.

    Original title: Sony Hanycam HC20

I just bought a HP Pavilion P2 - 1140 W7 64 bit and may not know how to download video from my Sony Handycam HC-20 who

using a Firewire connection. P2-1140 does not have a way to connect to a Firewire port and USB transfer is not supported by Windows 7.

I looked in the spec of my card mother HP and there is no additional slots to add adapters, no PCI, PCI-e or anything that looks like

as if you can add anything. I know that the Firewire to USB converters cable do NOT work, any suggestions please

There are USB firewire converters, but I think it will be a situation of hit or miss--they are unable to work or perform very well.

The only option I can think of that would work would be to use AV out on the camera and a USB capture card that records on the computer.
You can also consider going back to the computer and get a different model that is built in firewire support or at least an extension connector in order to get an expansion card.

  • M/S using wireless keyboard 800 and some characters are not displayed correctly

Have just connected a new wireless keyboard M/S 800, and some characters are not displayed correctly. For example, I get "when @ (update 2) is pressed on the keyboard and the £ runs it shift 3.» Am currently using XP SP3.

No problems with my original keyboard, Wired.

    Hi simoncd.

What is your location.  The reason why I ask this is that your keyboard is set to the standard UK layout.  Looks like you have the keyboard for the U.S. keyboard layout.  Shift + 2 is the "on the UK keyboard, @ on the U.S. keyboard."

To change the keyboard settings you must go to "Control Panel", then "regional and language options".  The first page allows you to set the number format and character relative to your location and also set the location.  Check these and modify accordingly so badly.  You want to then go to the second 'languages' tab and click on the button "Details".  Here you can set the default keyboard.  This changes if necessary.  This should, hopefully restore your keyboard to the presentation that you want.

  • Bought the Wireless Desktop 800 and cannot operate

I just bought the Microsoft Wireless Desktop 800 and he says it configures correctly on several computers, but the mouse or the keyboard started working. I have the batteries in, the switch lights up on the mouse, and I connected the mini USB. Drivers say that they install and I ran fixit application and it found no solutions because it does not even detect a problem initially. Method 2 I can't find the driver that my product is not listed. I am running Windows 7 on all my computers.

Seriously considering to take back and past for one product other than microsoft.

Why I get an error 400 on a regular (almost daily) when you browse websites of Stock and Typekit? They will work fine for awhile and then I'll click on a font or image and big gray 400 error page and I have to stop working. So I have to wait an hour or two before Adobe allows me again. I'm on a Mac and that you have a current version of Firefox.400.png

  • If I want to use an external monitor of ranking on dell precision 5000 or Hp zbook (equipped both of usb3 and thunderbolt 3) this piece of harware would work with SG?

If I want to use an external monitor of ranking on dell precision 5000 or Hp zbook (equipped both of usb3 and thunderbolt 3) this piece of harware would work with SG? My monitor is a scientist of Flanders HDSDI LM-2460W. I know blackmagic has a few options but the last time I checked, he has not worked with SG. Anyone know?

I think Sg works more easily with an output of your video card... I run two monitors style DVI outputs, but he could use the HDMI connections too I think. The tab Setup (wrench) go you and activate a second monitor and... it's a unique method instead... use the lines where she asks location information to 'say' Sg where the upper-left pixel of your second monitor (program or viewing) is your monitor 'system '.

I had two 1920 x 1080 monitors, stacked vertically, OS/UI on the bottom, "programs" or reading on the upper monitor.

So, this upper-left pixel of my 2nd monitor is a negative number for 'up' and zero to indicate the two pixels top left "even".

It is-1080 for the "vertical" number... it's the height of my 2nd screen and it is negative, because it is above the main screen.

It is 0 for the horizontal number. Yes, they are stacked.

Now, if I had a monitor/program play to the left of my OS/UI screen, it would be...

    Vertical number 0, as relatively, they have the same 'height ';

Horizontal number of-1920, that reading is on the left.

Reading right... Vertical would be 0 and horizontal a positive number of 1920 (width of the primary monitor).

  • Re: What by Satellite A100-906 supports firewire 400 or 800?

    Hello..

I have a Satellite A100-906, and I wanted to ask if anyone knows if the i.LINK (IEEE 1394) in my laptop connection is the firewire400 (a) or the type of firewire800 (b)... I want to buy an external hard drive with firewire connection...

    Thank you

    Hello

Firewire IEEE 1394 a supports an old cable 4 - pol and jack and IEEE 1394b firewire supports a new cable 6 - pol and new plugs.

On this picture you can see two catches:

What do you do - firewire to DV or HDV capture in the Capture of the first elements window?

If this is the case, you can do that 14 and first elements 13/13.1 because the characteristics were interrupted by Adobe.

The latest version of Premiere Elements that has this feature is first elements 12/12.1.

Please refer to the following Adobe on this situation and the workarounds proposed document.

Removed the unsupported file formats and features. Adobe Premiere Elements 13

You can also consider doing firewire to DV or HDV capture in other applications and then import catches in the Premiere Elements project with first elements 14 Expert workspace add active media/files and folders/projects to timeline

    For Windows...

    DV, see WinDV WinDV

HDV, see HDVSplit HDVSplit 0.77 beta
