First Elements 11 Workspace customization

I've recently updated first Elements 9 for first 11 elements, and I don't like some of the new features of the layout, but I wish I could customize the presentation...

I have the preview window before and at the Center, but I don't like how the active project window remains open & covers it.

Yes, is there). A way to pass the preview screen on the right, or (B). The project window active automatic closing once I slipped my clip out of it?

And there at - it a way to keep the effects and transitions open in their own window or box?

I know that 9 had elements where you can drag-and - drop panels where you want... I believe the setting to be able to do this "display me anchor headers... This option is available in 11?

And I really don't like how the "Transitional adjustments" (see picture) remains open after that I slipped and fell to a transition where I want to! It asks you where you want lined up, but that's not why I the ability to drag to where I want to? Or it allows you to set the duration, but I already have my default duration defined in my settings, and I can click and drag the ends to adapt...!

Is there a way to make this box does not pop up?

Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

Lauren

To customize the workspace that you have version 11, the only way is to separate the timeline of the rest of the interface by selecting the option monitor two.

If you have suggestions for review or add new features in version 12, you should file a new request for functionality with Adobe.

  • Media cache files: first Elements 9 with SSD

Hello you lovely people from Adobe.

I apologize if this has been asked before, if so please could someone direct me to an answer?

I have the first Elements 9 on Windows 7. My question is quite simple: my new shiny SSD becomes full of temporary files to the location of 'Files of Cache C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\Media' every time that I'm working on a project.  I put all the other elements of the cache that I can see in 'Préférences' on my mechanical drive, but I'm scared to see this folder filling with large files on my SSD. Apart from the useless reads and writes, it will be filled in no time. It seems in Premiere Pro, you can send this file to an external drive, but I can't find this option in Premiere Elements.

Please tell me there is a way to move the media cache of the file to another drive than C:\ directory?

    Thanks in advance

The answer is that you need answers to Premiere Elements for questions of Premiere Elements.

Standardized audio files (cfa and pek) are stored in the media Cache files folder. By default, this folder is located in Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 64bits.

Libraries/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Elements / 10 (if 10 is your version). You set the save location for media Cache files folder in first things Editor workspace Edit Menu/preferences/Scratch disks as well as 'Media Cache' category.

The respected video files (CMPD) are accessible via the first elements Editor workspace Edit Menu/preferences/Media and its area of media Cache database. You will find a Clean up to a certain limit set and clear them. The real files (with a .mcdb file extension) can be found via the path in this field. This seems to be a static situation.

Render the content of the timeline to get the best possible overview to read the back of the chronology of the content in the box monitor edition preview files are stored in the folder of files Adobe Premiere elements previews. By default, this folder is located in Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 64 bit libraries/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Elements / 10 (if 10 is your version). You define which record the location for the Adobe Premiere elements elements previews file folder to the first elements Editor workspace Edit Menu/preferences/Scratch disks and the category of video Previews.

  • First Elements 7 can be split 2 LCD screens?

    Hello

1 first Elements 7 workspace, etc. divide between 2 LCD screens?

2 East-GeForce GTS 250 or Quadro NVS or 1700, best or proper to PE7?

    Thank you.

You should have no problem splitting on two monitors, LCD or CRT display. PE4, there is a limitation, and I think it was the timeline. Don't know if this limitation still exists with PE7. I've shared between 2 21 "CRT (for PrPro), but not as my calendar to be broken by the two monitors, so never use this way. Steve Grisetti can tell you if PE7 still has this limitation with the timeline panel, but you can get everything on the second monitor afer 'disconnect you' them.

With respect to the GPU, unless you're doing more work NLE, like 3D, the Quadro will be exaggerated. I have one on my desktop and even with light 3D, it's more that I need. Good card, but I probably should have spent the extra of $ for another HARD drive (even if this machine has 6 already). Any card that is capable of double-head will work. Just be sure to check the connections and the specifications for each display. My Quadro will handle anything and everything I need were conversion adapters to drive my CRT.

I like my nVidia, but lately, there have been problems with Adobe products and new nVidia drivers. The time that Adobe and nVidia are associated, the drivers went south to Adobe products. Go figure? ATI has received good reviews on most of Adobe for one, and their drivers seem to work very well.

When I do NLE my computer work 17 "laptop, I travel everywhere in me, because I'm used to the double monitors on the floor.

    Good luck

  • First Elements 9 opens with the modified workspace, then crashes

After starting to learn first Elements 8 in a classroom, I decided to purchase the software. With Premiere Elements 9 available, I bought this version and install it on my home PC.

My system: HP Pavilion dv9500 Notebook PC, Intel (r) Core (TM) 2 Duo CPU T7500 2.20 GHz; 4.0 GB RAM; Operating system 32-bit, Windows Vista professional, Service Pack 2; DirectX version 11.0. NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS.

Installation (starting a DVD) seemed to be going normally. I used the program for less than one day simply check on what new features in version 9 a report to version 8. During this time, he seems to be very similar to what I'd learned with version 8 in the class I took. When I got the video files (leave a DVD) that had been provided with the "Adobe Premiere Elements 9 classroom in A book" and started a few exercises, the program locked up and gave me the following message: "sorry, a serious error has occurred which requires Adobe Premiere Elements stop.» We will try to save your current project".

After closing the program and reopen the workspace was not normal. The task pane was missing; monitor and My Project signs were present but floating free (they can be dragged on the screen with the mouse).

    screen.jpg

To try to get the regular space back I clicked on window > restore workspace from. When I did that I got the message "sorry, a serious error...". "whenever I tried.

I then uninstalled using first Elements 9 Control Panel > programs and features > uninstall. The only thing I uninstalled was the first Adobe Elements 1.9 GB program. Then I re-installed. That, however, did not correct the problem.

Several discussions on the Adobe Forum suggested that the event viewer should be examined to see if it held clues. I did this and copied the seven manifestations of Information and an error event that seem to be associated with the duration of my opening of the program, but not being is not very technically inclined to I don't know what to look for. If it helps to solve my problem I can post events.

Help to solve my problem will be greatly appreciated.

For catalogs and the layouts folder, you must type in the following in the start menu-> Run bar

    Layouts: "%appdata%\Adobe\Premiere Elements\9.0\Layouts\".

    Catalogs: '%appdata%\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\ '.

    Catalogs: '%programdata%\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\ '.

There are two locations, catalogs are created, one for the current user and the other for all users, I suggest you both clearly and then try again. So to repeat

    1. replace the file layouts, I sent

    2 remove the catalogs

    3. create a new project in a new location

    Thank you.

ListView determines ItemType of the element by calling the function itemType of the dataModel. By default, an ArrayDataModel returns an empty string for this call (see https://developer.blackberry.com/cascades/reference/bb__cascades__arraydatamodel.html).

This leaves you with a few options:

    (1) If you have no header and all the elements are the same, you can make

    ListItemComponent {
         type: ""
         ...

    (2) If you have headers or different elements, you can extend ArrayDataModel and implement your own function of itemType

    (3) you can define a function of ItemType on your ListView in QML. Documentation:

ListView called DataModel::itemType() for each item in order to know the type. QML, this can be overridden by declaring the itemType function (data, row) on the ListView element. ListView then call this function instead of the function DataModel.

Here's how to create a list in QML which creates a header for all items on the high level and aStandardListItem for each item below the top level:

I find it incredibly difficult to find clear instructions on how to make a transparent green filtered background in a video clip to display an alternative background image or a video clip.  In the limited documentation, I saw the video effect merge is recommended, but the controls for listening to the transparent areas are very limited.  An expert mentioned using the difference of Matt, but after about 30 minutes of confusion I had to give up.  I notice that my 11 year old daughter can do quite easily in iMovie even on his iPad, but we are all totally amazed as to how to do this in Premiere Elements.

    Thanks for the follow-up.

I'm strictly a Windows of the elements user. So I'm going with the Windows-only of the effects of overlay and not Windows only. ChromaKey, my favorite, Windows isn't.

The difference Matte, the video 3 track is essential by the nature of the effect difference... which is cache seized the background based on a difference between background and more about background. If you did not have a green no picture of the subject on video track 3 is not difference Matte to inlay.

What to do to get the background to Video 3... in Premiere Elements creates a cache color with the properties of color that represents the background that is created as evenly as possible. See Expert active workspace to the project and its Panel Option new point a color Matte and type in the properties for the exact color. If I work in Photoshop Elements, I have created this video content 3 it and import into Premiere Elements project.

In 2013, I wrote of my exploration of Matte color and colors. It can be interesting.

First Elements ATR troubleshooting: PE: the matte color of color corresponding to experimentation

But, if you have Videomerge works for you, then go with it. You will not have to create a video layer 3 as in the path of the Matte of difference.

What has been described can be done for the video as long as the object is saved on the same green background and background which is uniform. Lots of tips and how to project video green screen.

If I were a first Elements Mac user, I'd probably go with all that gave me the cleaner topic... in my case, probably difference Matte. If who couldn't do the job, then I need to explore Videomerge. You could do the opposite - Videomerge first choice, Matte a second review of the difference.

A lot of different approaches which are decided on a project by project basis.

Best wishes with your Premiere Elements project. Thank you for the interesting topic.

  • Active project - first Elements 14 - cannot dray files

I can't drag files in folders in the active project in the first 14 with Windows 10 elements.

    Bill McMurry

    Thanks for the follow-up.

Let me give you an example... If decides to issue all about working to put images in folders of the project not the routine and drag-and - drop files in the active project... an example

If I have images imported into the workspace of first elements 14 active project experts (see list), create a folder in the project and want copies of these images in the folder

    .

Then as I hold down the CTRL key, I'll click dragging an image in the folder icon.

You can open and close the file by clicking the small triangle to the left of the folder for the folder icon.

However, at this point, I agree with you that 14 is 'different' in his behavior to file new active project (against 11, 12/12.1 13/13.1)

11, I could drag the files in the folder - not abandoning the original you see in screenshot 2. Also, 11, I could drag the file out of the folder for various purposes, including the rearrangement to the folder. I can still do it with the help of the CTRL key, but I end up with the copy.

If what I'm describing goes to the point of your question, I will explain some more on it. I did the above with first elements 14 on Windows 7 64 bit. Based on your response, I'll do that too with Premiere elements 14 on 10 64-bit Windows and add more variables to the mix.

  • Suggestion of first element 12

Hi I'm Neil I have 12 Adobe elements. I want to use the slide show feature to produce my photo slide shows, and then watch them on my TV. However, I believe that items by default the size of the screen if the old 4:3 format and most digital cameras today use 16:9 screen the same as modern television screens. Using the format 4:3 you lose a part of the photo Adobe considered using the 16:9 screen so that nothing is lost when you show the finished product on the TV without having to adjust the TV screen to highlight all of the program?

    Neil

When you create this slideshow - in organizing 12 elements slideshow editor or in the workspace first elements 12 Expert or Quick Editor?

If in the organizing 12 elements slideshow Editor, work with or without check marks following the crop options in the slideshow preferences?

If you create the slide show only in the first element Editor, we can discuss that the next.

  • Missing files after changing computer with Adobe first Elements 9

    Hello

I recently changed my computer, and I installed Adobe first Elements 9, I had on my old computer. I actually changed my computer hoping that it would be better, because she was always crashing on my old computer. I tested it, I created a new project and everything went very well. But of course, I also want to continue my old editing projects. The problem is that, even if my library is organized as with my old computer, Adobe Premiere is not able to associate the files in my projects at their source. If each of my files (sounds, videos, music, effects) are not recognized, and I need to restore one by one by clicking on them and the research in my library. Now, I quickly realized that I could not go that way, because I'm editing of thousands of files.

But I have trouble believing that there is no way first can recognize files by itself, like iTunes can do when the music is missing. I mean, first knows exactly how the missing files are supposed to be, then why couldn't he find them? Does this mean that if my computer was broken, I could not able to change my old projects on a new? This makes no sense.

    Thanks in advance,

To check the version... Please open Premiere Elements in his chronology workspace. Go to Menu Help / about Premiere Elements. The top of the screen that opens should include a version 9.0.1 if you have downloaded and installed version 9.0.1 and work from it.

Please consider the following strategy and see if it solves the problem... just do it for a project as a series of tests...

    1. back to the computer 1, open your project and determine that it opens with the media source associated with the project.

2 create a folder "copied" using File Menu/project Archiver and its choice of copy a project.

3 transfer the folder "copied" 2 hard drive... maybe with USB Flash drive.

    4. Ouvrezledossier "copied" on computer 2, find the project file (PREL), right click, select open with, and then Adobe Premiere elements 9.0.

The project opens in the Adobe Premiere elements 9.0 on the computer 2 with all its current source media?

    Guidelines of compression on Vimeo

Even if you were to stay at 1280 x 720, I think that your flow of 5000 Kbps setting is too low. If you stay with 1280 x 720, I would

    Watch the kbit/10,000s to the value ' limit bitrate to. " If you go with 1920 x 1080, I would look at 10 000 to 20 000 Kbps, probably closer to 20 000 kbit/s.

First determine if these bitrate increases have no effect on what you are looking for. Then, we will focus on the size of the file. Are limited to a given file size?

Superior throughput, more quality, more the size of the file. You need to find a good compromise between bitrate, file size and quality.

As a point of reference, which is the bitrate of the video that you import into the project? I saw a Canon T2i video sample that used something like 42 Mbit/s (megabits per second), in contrast to 5000 kbps (kilobits per second), which would be of 5 Mbps.

    Please review and consider.

  • Can I create a custom in first Elements 12 Menu?

It's great that 12 elements has a way to automate the menus for a DVD, but so far I can't find one that I like.  Specifically, I want a background image to fill the entire screen, just like I do with a title.  My question should perhaps I can transform a title in a menu by adding markers?

And a question is that I have to have a main menu and a menu selection of separate scenes?  I'm used to creating of menus (with Pinnacle) which allow a single menu screen and buttons that can be added (and the 'button' can be text or an image).

Now I'm me forward, but if I have a menu scenes and someone selects a scene, at the end of the scene, it will just continue to play or go back to the menu scene?  It is an option in Pinnacle.  I'm jumping it is in first, as well, because once the scene is done I'd rather have it continue to play on as commercial DVDs would be if you skipped a scene in the middle of the movie to continue watching.

All changes to the existing disc menus is either

    a. film area of customization of the Menu (Menu Tools/film)

    or

    b. for more advanced customization, at the level of the disc menu .psd file for the main menu and the file .psd for the scene menu.

The titration module does not here.

    Many possibilities...

    • If you don't use a markers of the scene on the content of the timeline, you won't have a scene on a button in the main menu or scene selections pages.
    • If you use brands of main menu on the content of the Timeline and add enough buttons for the main menu, you can have a main menu of the page for access to films of chronology.
    • And so on.

If you have scene markers placed on the Timeline for viewer start you with this scene in particular, by clicking on the corresponding button of the scene on a scene selection page will result in the scene as well as the rest of the timeline content reading at the end of the timeline and auto course then return to the main menu. Placement of stop markers is required Viewer to select a scene to the display and then be returned to the main menu after reading this scene in particular. About stop markers...

  • First Elements 8 video seems wrong when editing

    HI -.

I'm brand new on first Elements 8 - in fact just installed on a laptop HP/Compaq 6530 b running Windows Vista (32 bit).  At first, I tried to edit a Flip video (MPEG4) and also a Flip video that I converted to AVI.  I also have a new Canon Vixia HF M31; regardless of what I use video, the video editing window is horrible.  There is a picture 'double' - one on top is green heavy and there is an another 'double image' video below that looks better, but is below the shaded green video (see inserted the image below).  I wonder if this is a problem with the laptop, especially since several video formats have the same problem.  Where should I start to solve this problem?

NOTE: I took this same video and it seems fine with Windows Movie Maker (at least the MPG4 - have not tried the Vixia. Video MTS but as I guess it won't work with Movie Maker).

Ah, the dreaded integrated Intel graphics chipset. I was about to ask if you had Intel. They make great chips, but their driver support is almost non-existent. Does your computer laptop mfgr. have a newer video driver?

When you have an Intel graphics chip on a desktop computer, I always recommend that they disable this built-in chip and add a nVidia or ATI card. Unfortunately, this is not possible with most laptops. We're stuck with the video chip, which is installed.

Now, going back several years, I got a Toshiba laptop, and he had an nVidia chip. That you like, right? Well, it was implemented to work ONLY with drivers nVidia Toshiba, and Toshiba has never issued any - checked the other day, although this machine has been removed for 4 years, and Toshiba has not released a new driver. One of the reasons that I would never buy a Toshiba (or many other laptops) once again - the proprietary drivers. I used this SITE to personalize the nVidia, to work with my Toshiba drivers. Everything worked well, and I could update my drivers Toshiba owners, just as they had issued a. I don't know if this site will however customize drivers for Intel. I have no experience doing it.

Problems with drivers video (and audio) and an editing software, is that the program interfaces and use the driver, more than almost any other program. Things as simple OS updates and patches, can make an out-of-date driver immediately, so he should be able to update their drivers, constantly.

Good luck and wish that I had an instant solution for you.
