First Freezes / crashes during import & consistent - all better workarounds out there?

Since the last CC update for the first I had the SAME problem on five different machines. During the import will freeze first, and I have to force quit smoking (mac) and reopen in order to correct. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't - little matter HOW to import (media browser, file/import, and then drag from the finder etc...)

Also, while in line first will freeze or hang on a clip and I have to save/restart so that the process pick up, where she had stopped. If I try to access the clips for confirming I'm risking clips (MP4 of C100 or of the C300) lack of large gaps in the audio.

Finally. Once I am able to do import / in line, when editing, I'll open the files to see that many will not be load clips and show "media disconnected" when I try to play them (even if they show the poster frame when still. By opening and closing the first solved instantly.

These questions don't are NOT material related such as the material has not changed on any computer. It is a software and it is the first which is the origin of the problem. They need to fix immediately. Our workflow is suffering of many man hours lost because of problems which do not arise until set CC to update the software.

I tried to roll back and some questions were better, but others above were still visible. That save and reboot the software almost always solves the problem until the next time, there arises, makes me confident that it is a software problem. I ask first to do the same thing several times the same way, and sometimes it works, other is not.

Someone has a workaround that is better than constantly economy/forcequitting/restart the software?

OK - I figured out how to install the 2015.3 version. Under 'Find additional apps', I changed 'filter the apps' 'previous versions' and was able to select. It installs now - will update if it helps at all.

All IT gurus out there who know Firefox... have lost the passwords saved when FF created a new profile and delete old files key3.dbf and logins.json profile. Any ideas, anyone?

    So it's not a logins.json file?

I see a signons3.txt file and a file signons.sqlite older, if you can try to see if you can import passwords stored in this file.

You can force Firefox to re-import the passwords in the file signons.sqlite and regenerate the file logins.json with the following steps:

    • reset the signon.importedFromSqlite pref on the topic: config page by default via the context menu
    • Delete the logins.json file in the closed Firefox with Firefox profile folder

When you restart Firefox, then you should have the pref signon.importedFromSqlite with the value set to true.
You have passwords that are imported in the password manager, unless there were errors or signons.sqlite signons3.txt.

You can open the topic: config page via the address bar.
You can accept the warning and click on "I'll be careful" to continue.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

  • First crashed during import + ingest

    Hello
I'm running the 2015.3 new and Premiere Pro crashed during the import process.  Media Encoder has been running in the background, but since he crashed, when I re - open the project, imported files are not in my browser because it crashed until I could save it after 'import' of the files.  I just want to know how I will bring to these files and make them properly related to the proxy file that encoder is already done?  I don't want duplicate proxies.

    Thank you

It is a very good question - here's what I did.

Disable (uncheck) interfere in the media browser.

Import the main elements in the program Committee.

Once imported, selected clips and a right click and the menu drop down choose Proxy > attach Proxy.

When the pane to open, Proxy I sailed on the proxies and fasteners, and now the clips are with attached in the column metadata Proxy and work correctly.

However I had to fix a clip proxy at once, for some reason any (I could have been hurt) reedit automatically, others did not.

  • Mail crashes during import of mailbox

When I open the Mail, I get:

    Importing mail messages

This process hangs at 6408 17029 messages

Box import mailbox ' Inbox - xxAccount.

    I tried the following:

    Reinstalled OS 10.11

    Off managers

Do all inactive e-mail accounts, including me.com iCloud

Since the problem seems to be in a particular mailbox import, is it possible to find the problem in this box the letters or as a last resort to remove the box special mailbox before trying to upgrade?

System with the iMac (24-inch mid 2007) problem

Problem could appear with 10.11.2 OS upgrade.

    V3 has:

    Mac - xxx

    Mailboxes

    Mail data

    5 POP - accounts

    RSS FEED

Finally touched one of the POP accounts in 2012 - don't need how can I get rid of him?

The new version of Mail stores its database in a different format that the old, so the database must be converted before Mail can use it. Sometimes, the conversion fails because the old database is damaged, or because of a bug in the conversion code.

What you should do depends on what type of e-mail accounts you have. The first step is to back up all data, if you don't have a current backup.

    A. Si you know that you have IMAP or Exchange only e-mail accounts

The easy way to recover is to delete the old database and start over. You can do this without losing all the messages, provided that:

☞ All your incoming mail accounts are on an IMAP or Exchange Server

☞ You store messages sent on the server

☞ You have no mailboxes "on my Mac".

Independent mail services the best-known as iCloud and Gmail are inspired by the IMAP. On the other hand, hosted by ISP e-mail services often use pop. If your ISP is one of your providers of mail services (or the only), you cannot use this procedure. See the section below in this case.

If you know that the above conditions are met, please continue to do so.

Quit Mail runs. Back up all data.

Open your home folder's library folder by pressing the option key and selection

    Go ▹ library

in the Finder menu bar. Inside, it is a subfolder named "mail". Move this folder on the desktop. You do not move the e-mail application; you move a folder named "mail".

Launch of Mail. Your mailbox should be restored automatically. The messages will be downloaded from the servers, so it can take a long time if you have very large mailboxes. Some people have mailboxes in the gigabyte range, and which can be a problem if your bandwidth is measured.

If the mailboxes are restored successfully, you can delete the folder that you moved to the desktop. You may have to re-create your rules, signatures and custom stationery Mail. While it is very important for you not to have to do these things, ask for instructions before you delete the folder.

    B. Si you have a POP or "on my Mac" mailbox store, or if you don't know what you have

Move the folder of mail on the desktop as in the part has and open.

Press the key combination command + F to search. In the line of chips to search along the upper part of the window, select "Mail". Below, defined as the search criteria

    The name ends with mbox

Results of the research will be a list of folders with a name ending with '.mbox '. Each of them represents a box the letters.

Launch of Mail. All mailboxes will be empty at the beginning, but if you have any IMAP or Exchange mailbox (including iCloud), they should fill in automatically after a delay, as in part A. If you have now all the messages you want to keep, you can stop here. Otherwise, import from mailboxes in the search results. You'll probably want to skip those with names such as "Deleted Messages", "Junk", "Spam", or "Trash". Some may be duplicates of what you already; those that you can remove.

In some cases, a mailbox may fail with an error to import. If this happens, thanks for posting your results.

If all the mailboxes imported successfully, you can delete the mail on the desktop folder.

  • For all you lovers out there willing to lend some knowledge

    Hello!

I shot footage using a camera slider. With every shot I took, I made sure that, when the scene that I needed was captured I used an object to block the shot with the intention to use this object to create a continuos slides/cups in another scene. The size of the object varied from shot to shot, but overall it was enough to block/end my desired image capture.

Now that I have the images in front of me, should which way I go? Masks, followed by objects, key-frame animation? IM at a standstill.

I tried an important framework animate one next to each other and stack on each other so a scene would slip in as the other slip out of the frame. However, my results have been very hectic.

I just want to create a cut where all my scenes are interconnected with the slides, in the form of a continuous action. I'm sure that for all that you lovers out there this is kids play, but I'm so inexperienced... Any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

PS I have not for a fact that there is a tutorial out there in the interwebz but I just can't find. If it helps this tutorial is a scene in the Big Apple and a taxi through the screen and enter a new

Explanation of Rick should make miracles according to how your footage is shot.  A mask just like Szalam suggested might work also.  Here's an example very little neat how it could work.  I'm sure that your shots were photographed with a lot more carefully, but I just did it using the images I had on my desk to illustrate the principle.  Here I used two shots separate cable to a bike race, but when a tree covers the bikers in the second shot, I touch up the mask path to block the bikers in the first shot, so that riders in the second shot are not like they move in a continuous track.  Unfortunately, this ins't example entirely convincing since the trees are difficult to hide quickly and it doesn't help that the two moves are different angles so the sky appears in the second shot.  But, if your shots are moving at the same speed and angle and the object that blocks the firing is not too difficult to hide then you should have a much easier time with your videos:

(1.) I got this effect simply by animating the mask path in After Effects and the use of the tool of feather mask adjustable to control the amount of feathers mask has. Here's how it works:

    (A) use the Pen tool to draw a mask around the object you want to cover up your first scene.

    (B) use the Pen tool mask to adjust the amount of feathers on your object, especially if there is no blur of movement since the movement of the camera.  Here's a good tutorial on how to usehttp://www.video2brain.com/en/lessons/variable-width-mask-featheringsmoothing mask variable width in After Effects CS6.

2.) move the points as you move through the timeline and add multiple keyframes when you change the mask to match your images:

3.) finally pass the edges of the mask out of the screen so that your new scene can support.  As I said before, if your shots are moving at the same speed and angle and the object that blocks the shot is easy to mask, i.e. something geometric with straight lines like a wall, then you should have a much easier time with your videos:

However, I realize that your shots can be radically different from this and you may need to use a slightly different technique.  If this is the case, thanks to upload your photos or screenshots in the post and we'll take a look.

  • on windows xp, my system restore to a previous restore point. have you tried many restore points & creating new ones but the system does not restore. all the solutions out there?

on windows xp that my system restore to a previous restore point, I tried many restore points & created new ones but the system displays "could not be restored", any help out there.

Let see... What do we know about your system environment:

    It's windows xp.

If we knew more, you would probably now.

What is the problem that you are experiencing this thing you System Restore will be remedied?  System Restore is not a time machine.

The system restore already worked successfully in the past?

Thank you MS Answers, allowing the resolution of simple problems like frustrating and a lot of time as possible by asking only not for any information system when a new question is asked.

Provide information on your system, the better you can:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

Some tools Anti Virus 'protect' your system so that they will not allow a restore of the system work properly.
For example, if you use Norton/Symantec products, you will see a message like this:
Restoration incomplete. Your computer cannot be restored...
It is also a popular Symantec problem (well, I'll be polite and call an "undocumented feature"...), they wrote an article about it:
According to what you use for malware protection, you may need to disable the product temporarily, do the system restore and then turn the products light up again when the system restore is complete.
Sometimes you need start your system in Mode safe and so that your protection programs are not running, and then do the system restore.  Tips from Microsoft in some of their articles that if the system restore does not restore your computer, start in Safe Mode, and then run the system restore.  It works for some configurations.
System Restore is sometimes so afflicted or Restore Points are suspicious, the best solution is to reinstall your system restore.  This will remove the old Restore Points, but sometimes it's the only way to fix a broken system restore.  You don't have to reinstall XP, only the part of system restore.
That can leave you with your problem of unspecified origin that you hope the system restore will fix (using a system restore is usually not equivalent to fixing the problem though).
Give these ideas some consideration if they apply to you.
Sometimes malicious will afflict your system restore to prevent you to find and remove malware.  It would much rather you trick into thinking that you need to repair or reinstall your XP when it is not necessary.
No matter what you use for protection against malware, I do so and then only begin to solve any problems:
Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs can solve any problems:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
It can be uninstalled later if you wish.
The scans by operating clean, reboot, test and we can fix any other issues.
  • First Pro crashes when importing

I filed a bug report, a week or two ago, and I have been using all sorts of workarounds to keep the first CC of Pro and Adobe After Effects to work while I am waiting for a solution.  But the first Pro CC seems to be now in a rut.  After Effects works fine now, fingers crossed.
I run the app and try to import a file and it crashes as soon as I select Import from the context menu.

As someone suggested, I tried to import other menus and the result is the same

I have recently installed Windows 10 against my will
I've recently updated all my Adobe aps, (Premier Pro, After Effects, and many others)
When I updated Adobe it all my caches mapped on my hard drive of the pc.  I've reconfigured the caches in my external hard drive
All my work files are on my external hard drive

Besides as someone suggested, I tried the automatic power off except (worked for a while)
I also tried another suggestion of people use 'Alt Shift' when I run the first Pro to clear the cache and it seemed to help temporarily
I tried to restart to see if Windows contribute to the problem, with no luck

I also tried connecting cloud creative before launching Pro
Right now I'm at a standstill, I can't do anything

I've been using CC several years now so I am familiar with the issues, but this last question / problem started about a month, around the same time installed Windows 10

    Please advise!

05/08/2016 I think I knew what was going on / what was wrong.
The latest incident dated 29/07/16 damaged my file, it became corrupted.  It's just frustrating to try to get it back.  PP could not find some of my files that I had imported and I couldn't fix it.
I therefore decided to create a new project file and start over.  Now PP works again, therefore, the previous files must have been corrupted.  I also noticed that after I re-installed PP he put everything back to default so I had

    1) go to the preferences and uncheck the box for automatic backup
    2) go to preferences and uncheck fast Intel
And finally to encompass all of the suggestions above I also restarted the PP by holding down the Shift/Alt key.  What I didn't know is when you start PP in this way, it clears the cache but it also resets the default values, so you guessed it, I had to

    (1) PP Sift/Alt pressed start

    2) go to preferences and uncheck the box for automatic backup

    3) go to preferences and uncheck fast Intel
    (4) then restart WITHOUT holding Shift /Alt, Caches have already been deleted in step 1
Now I'm ready to start building my project once again file, so I decided to try a shortcut:
I open the corrupted file and copy the timeline and pasted in my new project file: Walla!  I was back in business.  He re-created my old time line and felt that all the files that I had imported
So I used a few times PP without any problem, but if I don't get an accident, I think I know how to keep it going, by following the steps I have described above.

  • first freezes when you import a layered photoshop file

When I try to import a PSD with more then 1 layer import window opens but I'm making progress and the Cancel button is grayed.

I tried to edit the files stored with 8-bit CMYK to RGB.

I also did the tour where you are looking for in the media browser dubbel click it and make drag the file in the project, which works but it flattens the image and I need the different layers.

When I have 1 layer the psd and no transparent whats if ever it works too.

But I need to make images move so I need different layers of work anyone can help me with this?

    Thanks

    1. the photoshop files must always be RGB and CMYK never.

    2. sometimes when importing Photoshop files, the menu to choose the layers is off the screen. You know this if when importing and the first seems to freeze on import, press enter and you might get the photoshop file, but with all the merged layers. To choose the layers, reduce the size of the first screen when it is open before you import Photoshop, then try to import the photoshop file and you should see the submenu for choosing diapers. This may or may not be your problem, but it is one from time to time, I found.

  • First Pro Crash when importing After Effects project

    Hello

Try importing a .aep project at first. The project itself is a simple color gradient to sit behind the text in the lower third of the screen. I tried importing dynamic links, as well as flat methods to import...

First open rectangle import small file window (the one with the blue bar which usually zips along without delay) then crashes... you can then is no longer click Cancel or the x or anything else, it blocks simply himself.

I tried this with various projects for AE and first, as well as creation of comps and empty and try again. Whenever this is the same accident.

Uninstalled and reinstalled several times, still nothing. Erased from the memory cache for both applications.

Anyone got any ideas or help with this?

If the problem is solved by pressing the ALT key at startup, it is just an issue with corrupt preferences, and it was just a flip momentarily.

I work with a seller of business catalyst to help me build my Web site. They don't know what LMS can be built with Business Catalyst. My googling pulled upward first captivate, agreement and absorb LMS systems. Some body please recommend an outlet in LMS that is easy to integrate and manage with the Adobe Catalyst company please?

I want to use LMS to PUBLIC mainly, maybe use for training employees too but mainly aims to increase SEO by LMS.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you.

I heard captivate is good. Moodle is also very popular.

He has bo plugin to connect the two systems. You will need to build an integration. There are a lot of options here depends on what you need to do. That is to say if it is created in British Colombia want this syncd username and password to your LMS so there is no 2 connections. ID have to check with my devs, but I don't think that we have access to the password via the API in British Colombia.

My suggestion would be to try to maintain connections to 1 system

  • First CS5 - system reading HDV freezes/crashes!

    Hi all

Despite the immense anger and frustration that accumulates in these moments there, I will try as hard as possible to stick to the facts here:

First CS5 is completely unusable since I bought it 6 weeks ago.  It runs on a new Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit system.   He can't handle the HDV playback and blocks the machine at random intervals during play, normally within a few seconds.  Sometimes the 'crash' means that the video freezes for and audio continues to play.  Sometimes, the accident blocks the whole machine or even forces an immediate re-boot.  First seems to behave as if it is running on an old and slow system that cannot follow.  I cannot perform a single Edition on my calendar because of the crash problem.

I support box to open with Adobe, but they seem to have no idea how fix the problem and continue round in circles (they tried to dismiss the case 3 times more!).  I called Sunny, Sundeep, Riaz, Deepak and the supervisor, Avinash.  I have also contacted technical sales engineer Steve Burnard (to the BVE, Earls Court), but have so far been ignored, despite its promises to help.  I have been working through a comprehensive list of maintenance, but made no progress.  It goes without saying really, but my business suffers bigtime.

My system spec is as follows: Asus P7P7P55-M, Intel Core i7 870, Coolermaster Hyper TX3, 8 gb Corsair DDR3 1600 mhz CL9 DHX (4 x 2 GB modules), NVidia GeForce GTX 460 1 GB, 700w EZCool Tornado PSU, Western Digital FW800 Raid Array, Matrox Triplehead2go (now disconnected from paternalism).  The machine is NOT overclockee, and I have no antivirus software or other programs on the system: it is a dedicated video editing system.

I'm under first CS5 version 5.0.3 (all updates installed).  My NVidia drivers are up-to-date (266.58 version). My images are HDV 1080i for a Canon XLH1a (PAL).

Here is a summary of the main things I've tried.  None of these steps has made a clear difference:

    • Changed "rendering optimizes memory/performance."
    • Tinkered with memory allocation settings
    • Cache cleared
    • Lowered playback quality
    • Captured or imported new film HDV (same camera)
    • Re-capture the images of 'problem' (same camera)
    • Film imported from another machine (work). These images editing / playing perfectly in CS3 on the old machine and was captured on the same device
    • Footage moved to another (fast) drive hard internal
    • Other drivers and BIOS updated
    • Entry memory timings/tension manually instead of using the parameters of the BIOS 'Auto '.
    • TH2go disconnected and uninstalled Matrox Powerdesk
    • Updated day/re-installed video card drivers (clean install)
    • First uninstalled and then reinstalled updates one at a time (the last 5.0.3)
    • Run memtest86 with only a WHAT DIMM installed in time - no error reported
    • Run Prime95 Torture test for 4.5 hours with no error reported
    • Tried to import Quicktime HD DVD 'Company of images' files (won't import)

    Main findings:

Images that hangs at first CS5 plays back fine in Windows Media Player on the same machine at full resolution.

The images which blocks the first time and publishes fine on an old machine running Premiere CS3.

Capture the scene does not work properly - it cuts off after a few minutes. Bands must therefore be captured in their entirety, meaning file sizes are large.

AVI files seem to play back fine so far (could it be related to higher compression formats?)

My apologies for the length of this post.  It is a complex problem and long term, and so far no 'professionals' from Adobe showed a real willingness to help.  Adobe support have suggested so far only the basics.  They are extremely reluctant to you allow to talk to their support higher level officers and seem to basically just script-readers.  If a suggestion does not work, they seem to have no idea of what to try next (until they ' talking to their superiors'!).

They recorded a session with me and are apparently still discuss the results: honestly, I'm not sure I believe them.  Four weeks have passed now.   According to me, that I really need someone to try to resolve the conflict of machine/first on hardware software.  I could be wrong, but given all of my testing so far this seems to be caused by a conflict between the first and something on my machine... .but what?  I don't see any sign of a faulty hardware.

All the advice in the wake of any listed above would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

    Power supplies - what!

I would like to say to NewEggs on sides of the user as a good starting point to help with your selection. I like also jonnyGuru.com be able to provide comments. they looked at a lot of different p / s

About power, do not put too much weight in this alone. I have an old Thermaltake Toughpower 675 watts p/s which is so solid, but there are sellers of 1000 and 1200 models of watt that I wouldn't trust in my system for a second. I think you should at least 650 watt rated p/w with a renowned manufacturer.

    Things that I find important:

-more large power units tend to be much quieter with excess capacity and more fans (I got the AX1200 gold Corsair and LOVE)

-models of modular cables may provide much cleaner cases

    -variable speed fans

  • Auto check all applications during import

During a long import iTunes comes up with several issues that need to be automated.

    Examples

    (1) wma files are not imported. Instead, iTunes asks you if it should turn them in to m4u. So, after 3 hours of the import, the import stops at halfway, and I have to click Yes to import products. It's embarrassing. Of course, once it finished, I copy the converted files m4u (now 6 x size), throw the original of the AMM and replace them with the m4u, so it will not happen again. (if probably applies to other types of file, also, perhaps wmv, etc, I don't know)

    (2) Audible files are not imported without writing the email and password individually in each file. I've now separated all sound files out while this happen dozens of times in the middle of an import. This can be automated by adding an email and a password somewhere in iTunes from where he might catch the details, instead of asking for it.

Yes, there are somewhere in the settings where I can disable these applications? Or automatically agree to each of them (Yes to all requests or something)?

Or, as happens in the Solution Explorer, after upgrading from Windows XP to Windows 7, all requests are pushed up to the END of import, instead of dot as they turn to the top?

N ° as with your audio content, a solution might be to organize your files .wma outside of the folder you are importing. Then import your .wma files at a later date. MediaMonkey is a nice tool called Auto organize files which, with the right settings, can be used to move a subset of your media to another path, but always organize sensitive artist & album folders. Alternatively, iTunes shows the folder where you have control over which of the formats of files are imported. Also note that when iTunes offers to convert .wma files imported it will do by using the currently selected import settings. If you have 128 k WMA, you probably want to choose 128 k mp3 or aac format target to avoid unnecessary bloat.

See also the reflections on organizing your multimedia library where you need to use more than one player to support various formats iTunes & Windows Media Player to play well .

    OK, so the problem...

I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit as a clean install on my HTPC, after the first do a complete 1 & 0 format of the hard drive that had previously installed Vista Home Premium, installation went well and I proceeded to install all updates to Windows, and then update drivers for all my hardware.

The system is used only as a HTPC, it's my only TV and video playback device, (so reliability is essential for me) and it is connected to a defintion of Sony, 44 "Widescreen Rear Projection TV Standard, via S-video, with audio goes to a system DD/DTS 5.1 Surround Sound Speaker Logitech z5500, via a sound card by using the optical cable (specifications of the complete system below).  The system worked flawlessly more of one year using Vista SP1 32 - bit, until I upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate on the hardware configuration identical.

Since installing Windows 7, it worked fine for the first week, not a single problem, I am housebound are disabled so that the system is in continuous service 24/7 and he had no problems in the first 10 days, however all of a sudden I'm getting now random freezes requiring a hard reset , but it occurs during video playback of any of my 3 hard disks, or when you try to play a DVD in Media Center. Which led me to think it is associated video (problem of driver or hardware fault) card, disc or HARD associated.

Frost can occur sometimes, after a few minutes of reading, or sometimes after a few hours, requiring a restart of the hard to get the sytem to answer.

Reading of the TV via the TV Tuner card is not affected, its only when playing of stored content (MPEG2, h264 .mkv .avi files or DVD) are all media SD HD and all played fine for the first few days.

Intermittent freezes occurring could block the system completely freeze the image and audio and all activities, nothing would work at all, I tried windwos keyboard, ctrl alt del, nothing at all, to do a reboot hard to recover the system, it can then be either minutes or sometimes an hour before the same thing happens again. I tried to use different video files in the case of the corruption of files, different DVD to exclude damaged disks, same result.

    System includes:

    1. Map - mother ASUS M3A32 - MVP Dlx, Socket AM2 +, 790FX/SB600 chipset, BIOS v.2003
    2. Operating system - Windows 7 complete edition 32-bit Retail (clean install, all the Windows installed updates)

    5. Graphics card - ASUS Nvidia 8800GTS @ settings inventory 320Mo

    15. Speakers - Logitech Z5500 5.1 Digital Surround Sound via Toslink optical cable connected to the ASUS Xonar Sound Card S/PDIF optical

All the material above has had pilots upated since the sites of respective manufacturers, including BIOS of motherboard, chipset, graphics card, network card, sound card, card TV, keyboard (Logitech Setpoint) etc... etc...

Initial added after Clean install software:

    1. Internet Security - Comodo Firewall v.3.13.126709.581 (updated daily since installed)
    2. Antivirus - Alwil Avast Professional 4.8 v (update daily & daily analysis of all local drives)
    3. Browsers: Firefox v. 3.5, Google Chrome
    4. MCEBuddy v.1.1 - for automated video Conversion of MCE .wtv smaller file size .avi TV recordings

All of the above software has been installed by using the latest available versions downloaded from the manufactuer sites, which claim to support Windows 7 and all have been updated regularly since its installation.

I have tried many of the suggestions I've seen posted to try to solve this problem, including:

    1. Uninstalling and reinstalling Media Center and WMP
    2. Disabling subtitles in Media Center
    3. Disable unused mobo onboard devices in the BIOS
    4. Update BIOS
    5. Updated all drivers
    6. Disabling Control Panel Nvidia PhysX
    7. Disabling the Enhanced Sound features for reading devices
    8. Run CCRegistry cleaner
    9. Run many Virus scans nomral mode and safe - no problems found
    10. Don't run the Checkdisk on all HARD drives - no problems found
    11. Run the SeaTools Diagnostic tools for HARD drives - all disks HARD discover OK
    12. Tried playing files AVI of HDD separated to avoid a HARD drive problem - same problem occurs on all readers
    13. I tried change graphics card for an ATI HD4850 with the latest ATI drivers - same problem.
    14. Tried to change the audio output S/PDIF instead of Xonar Soundcard onboard - same problem occurs
    15. Tried the Windows 7 repair facility - problem persists.
    16. Tried to uninstall all updates of Windows -same problem
    17. I tried the system restore to before the occurrence of the problem started - no help
    18. tried to re-downlaoding all hardware drivers updated and re - install in the case of a corrupt driver download - no chance even problem

Essentially none of the abvoe helped to solve this problem, and it becomes really frustrating to have to restart the PC again and again trying to watch a recorded video file or DVD.

After remove all the above I can only assume that it is a problem with Windows 7, needing a fix of the millisecond.  At least I think that I've exhausted everything I can try... ???

With what is my HTPC, if I can't perform reliably, I have to reinstall Vista, Vista was not the best OS, but at least it was reliable for me in terms of my HTPC.

I was really eager to get Windows 7, I used the RTM version on my netbook for some time before I made the decision to purchase the full retail version for my HTPC, and never had any of these problems with my installation of netbook that I used for playback of media files from an external USB HDD.  So I'm really disappointed to have these problems after doing all that I could to make sure that Windows 7 would work OK.

If anyone can give me any suggestions of what I can try, anythign I can too watching, or if someone has hada similar problem and found a solution for him... Please, please, post more details, because I am really at my wits end now and have to resort to watch the recordings on a 10.2 "screen of my netbook with some speakers of the small laptop usb, after spending so much money on my system and surround sound Setup HTPC, its devastating to think that I'll have to go back to Vista...

Absoultely ANY suggestions would be appreciated...

Thanks in advance for any help and once again, I'm sorry for the length of the post, if there is more information needed I've not provided above, please let me know and I will try to publish as soon as POSSIBLE...

After the forum of scouring and reding of countless discussions, it seems, there is some sort of problem with Media Network Sharing tha could be the cause of this problem, as many people have reported that disabling wmpnetwk.exe in the Services.msc solves the problem.

It's not an ideal solution for me, as I have a HTPC in the room that I play media from the main HTPC downstairs and all the hype MS seemed to suggest that Win 7 is it is much easier to achieve, and has been one of the main points of sale used in one of their commercials for the operating system.

This my MS you need to pay attention to this problem and work towards a solution and allow users to know when the solution has been provided, probably have a service that must be disabled to let the operating system work reliably is quite counterproductive.

Nobody seems to answer my post above with other suggestions and wmpnetwork.exe disable workaround was published last November, all the while still there is no permanent solution...?

EDIT: Just to confirm this wmnetwork.exe Netwrok disabling media sharing in the services, as well as disabling the media streaming in the Netwrok Sharing Center > advanced sharing Options, solved the constant crashes for me.

So all the MS speak of 3rd party drivers for the cards video and other material or material defects are to blame, it's total BS, the only problem is to do with Windows and Windows Media Sharing, lets hope, they decide to do something to fight it... !!
