  I'm having a major problem. I can't click on the 'Start' button for the Media Manager when I go into the BB Desktop Manager. I tried to reinstall Desktop Manager & all other items several times. I removed the battery. I also put my memory options for my storm as:

  Media card support: on

  Encryption mode: no

  PSG: on

  Mass storage support: on

  Auto enable mass storage Mode when connected: Yes

  Could someone help me please? I can't transfer ANY media be it because of this problem!

  Without starting the desktop software or the Media Manager, connect the USB cable and the PC the storm.

  Open my computer in Windows. You see as a removable media card?

  If Yes, you can "drag and drop" files on the card out of holder on the storm.

  To correct the media manager please specify the following:

  PC, operating system (if vista 32 or 64)

  The version of the currently installed software.

  You have problems with the backup or sync Desktop Manager?

• I have windows xp media center, at the time of purchase I dint receive the os cd and I was told that it would be available online and they gave me a product key. But now a unable to find where I can find the operating system files and the Setup program.

  Communicate with the computer mftr. for replacement media. Legally, they must give you a way to reinstall Windows. XP MCE was available as an OEM ("Original Equipment Manufacturer") product and in addition to having a TechNet/MSDN subscription, I know of nowhere hand, you can download it legitimately. • BlackBerry Smartphones where can I find the Media Manager for my office?

  OK I just looked at my records that I received with my BB Storm the other day.  It's the 9530.  There is only the VCast & BB media sync, but the button for Media Manager does not work... I watched the disc and there no Media Manager... now what?  I am running Windows Vista Premium Home OS, and I have the Desktop Manager 4.7 version.  Where the hell is the Media Manager and since I can't find it, y at - it a downloadable version of it somewhere on the net?  Please HELP I am ready to pull my hair!

  I had to talk to the reps to Blackberry and apparently some discs did NOT have the media for a reason Manager any.  The option was left aside.

  After much frustration, I finally got my answer.

  Format your card of media phones first, it on your phone.  Once done you will have a folder on your computer, when the phone is plugged into the computer, which said device BLACKBERRY and BLACKBERRY Media Card.  You can simply drag and drop into specified folders (for me it was the videos).

  If you already have a converter media it is the perfect way to do it and the video should be MP4 (at least that's all so far, I have converted)

  For the Media Manager, go here: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/ but make sure you that you have uninstalled the Manager of the desktop of your computer first, and then re - install using the download from the link above.  I did it and it works fine now.

  FYI - the Roxio is slower than the second coming during the conversion.  First use the reformat your phone option, and then use roxio if you do not have a Media Converter.  There are other media there converters that are much faster.  I have one for my Zune that allows to convert a movie in about 20 minutes or more and then it's in the right format for the phone.

• BlackBerry smartphones, what's the problem with Roxio Media Manager?

  I bought my first Black Friday Blackberry 8310 Curve. For some reason the Blackberry Desktop Manager installed and works quite well. However, when I open the screen Roxio Media Manager freezes and it does not even show my device. I have uninstalled cleanly and re-installed more than a dozen times and cannot operate. Also, we went and bought a graphics update and the sound card and installed them. The Roxio media manager ALWAYS freezes up and we must stop it.

  I do a lot of Paintshop Pro and have these programs as well as other graphic software. I wonder if it's a software conflict? I don't see one. Or if the Roxio is a point of sale as someone posted before.

  I spent hours and hours reading all I can on this subject and not online can not find an answer to anywhere. The main reason I want the Media Manager, is I want to make my own ringtones... that's all! The rest I can do without it. The BB Media Manager has the ability to make ringtones?

  under Windows, you can use any software for your mp3 to the part you want to cut.
  You can use mp3cutter or Audacity.

• I have a Windows Media bar that appears in the middle of my browser window that I can't close. Anyone knows how can I close it?

  I have a Windows Media bar in the middle of my screen just sits there. He can't do anything other than to show me its properties. I tried to restart Firefox, restart the computer, run a scan for viruses and deep Eset anti-virus running and it's still there. I can't get rid of it. It will not close.

  Problem solved by disabling Windows Media add on tools for Firefox. Now I have to download a new one.

  Recently, two Workstations have had their media manager stop working. When the blackberry is connected to the computer and looked in the Media Manager, images on the blackberry developed as gray with a tiny band of pixels in the image at the top. When the images are transferred to the PC they hold it. When images are sent from the blackberry to the PC images find very well.

The assumption that the memory of the smartphone (I have an a BB 8310) would store media files for example tunes, or at least some of them, but every time I try and drag a file from the Media Manager in the memory of the device, according to me, a message appears saying that there is not enough disk space. I only just bought the article, so I don't see how this could be possible. Is this a fault on my phone or they can be stored in a multimedia card (which I don't have yet)?   If you want to transfer multimedia files to the device, it is recommended that you purchase a microSD for storage of media. According to me, there is a limit of 2.86 MB file size when you transfer media files to the main memory of the device. Also, when you start to store multimedia files in main memory of the device, it eats memory, which can cause problems like the logs of calls and messages deleted to save space.

  Search for the issue in the clean boot state.

  How to activate the Media Manager when the Start button is gray on the Desktop Manager? I see the Vcast music with Rhapsody option (left) and I can choose the BlackBerry Media Sync on the right, but when I try to choose the Media Manager, it's on the screen, but the button is not active.

  Maybe you have installed Blackberry Desktop Manager without Media Manager.

  I don't use Media Manager, because it is slow, buggy and unreliable.

  I use my blackberry as a usb flash drive. It is much more convenient than using Media Manager.

  I knew this may have been posted before, but we have tried all the solutions for other messages about this problem on this forum and on several other forums found by searching on google.

  Lenovo Thinkpad x 200-Windows XP - Manager of office 4.3 to 4.7 (all tested!)

  All versions to bring up the same error when executing media manager in the Start Menu and via Desktop Manager.

  We get the Roxio Media Manager start screen, then the runtime error window appears (see below)

  

  We tried installed all versions (4.3, 4.5, 4.6, & 4.7) on 3 different computers and they all bring up the same error.

  I get rid of Roxio Media Manager on my computer, and there is no headache more.

  I transfer music, photos and videos from and to the blackberry micro sd card as I do with a flash drive.

  It is simple and very practical.
