• Issue of license VMWare ESXi 3.5

  Hi guys,.

  I was wondering if someone could help me with the best course of action here.  About 4 months ago, I ordered a Dell with ESXi server on it (internal on a USB key).  I want just the basic... now for free... features of ESXi.  However, it came pre-installed with what I think, it is licensed to the company.  I have no idea even how to say to look at anything, if this is still true.  However, since I'm busy and I have come back to this project, I learned earlier that I can no longer starm of the BONES of my comments.  He tells me I don't have enough licenses.  The license that has been already entered under 'Configuration' was previously registered with Dell.  I registered and got a new one on the site here and it before but I have the same problem.  Should I reinstall from a new image to fix this?  Is it possible to just go back to the basic edition?  I didn't need all the extra features, I guess it is.  I just want to run the OS indepened most of the time.

  Ok. I would have noticed it in the first place. We will try this.

  I don't know if you have enabled ssh on your ESXi. Otherwise try to get the following steps on the server console or remote access (such as the DRAC, ILO or what have you), after you set the ESX Server in evaluation mode using the VI Client.

  Connect to the ESXi box as root.

  Go to/etc/vmware.

  Delete the license.cfg and vmware.lic files, you can make a backup copy if you want in the first place.

  Restart the service mgmt-vmware.

  Return to the VI client and activate the license of the ESX Server with the key you have for the site.

  In August 2008, I have passed the Tests of Certification DBA 2 but in the context of the reception of the certificate of the OCP, I had to take a course more. Well, I never found a moment to be able to follow the course to receive the credentials of the OCP. I was wondering if I can still take one of approved courses and receive credentials of OCP always. If so, I will consider this fall.

  You can choose a course off course list for 10 g OCP DBA... If these become rare a 11 g DBA equivalent may be accepted in the place... check it first if you think you have special case (but not vice versa for those seeking 11 g OCP DBA, a course of 10 g would not happen).

  You have until the expiry of the certification to submit a course and get it checked.

• I switch to Chrome because of problems with default printer. When can I expect this issue for a long time or my switch will be permanent?

  Whenever I change a print setting, firefox that shows the default setting. For example, I want to print a document in landscape, and now all my documents print in landscape unless I have reset firefox or I might want to print only once another printer, but now, this printer is enabled in my default printer. It is a huge pain and I got tired to reset firefox several times a day.

  I love everything about firefox, but this issue me leave.

  By default, Firefox to save a setting like the new "default". You can change it to not save the settings by enabling / disabling this pref in Subject: config.

• First pro takes a long time to open

  I recently installed the latest version of first (2015.4) on a Windows 7 x 64 service pack 1.

  Config: Intel (r) CPU Xeon X 5660 2.80 GHz 2.80 GHz (2processors).  -40 GB of RAM

  There's a blackmagic decklink which works well with the first. An internal RAID5 have been added to the computer.

  When I try to launch the pro first by clicking on the icon or open a project, the startup screen and load the stuffs, everything looks good. When he writes "initialization of the application", the splash screen disappears. The first pro icon is not highlighted more. Adobe Premiere pro is still in process in the Manager list task. Nothing happens for 10-15 minutes. After that first pro appears and everything works in it...

  I cleaned the trash prefs and uninstalled, reinstalled Premiere pro.

• First issue 14 - items exporting in MP4

  I'm running a pc Windows 10 (spec below) and have problems to export projects like MP4.

  I initially downloaded trial version of first 14 elements, created a second 6 video and successfully exported a MP4 (the piece of MP3 music, I had included did not play, but I think it's a limitation of the trial version).

  After this success, I bought the complete product and tried to re-create the MP4, it failed with the first error 'Adobe Premiere Elements has stopped working' and error 1000 has been created in the application log:

  I retried several times without success, normally with the same error (at various times in the export process - sometimes it takes 90% full) or, Alternatively, the whole PC to hang or restart (I also tried to make minor modifications and re-register with the full version more remove all rendered files).

  I then tried to create a new project with a different video content and who do not have to export.

  I tried from my pc with minimal services (System Services more than the services of Adobe) and no project would export MP4.  I then started without System Services and the new project has actually exported successfully but not one created in the trial version (I think it was a "fluke" however).  I also tried to export with no other applications running.

  To create the MP4 I finally break the project down into 8 short projects, export them as MP4, create a new project, adding them back in and adding music.  Who then exported successfully a MP4.

  I use the recommended MP4 export definition 1280 x 720, but have you tried lower resolutions too.

  I have also tried exporting as a MT2 (HD1080), this succeeded and I'll then return to first export an MP4 with success.

  I don't think that my video is complex: it is market day, created on a GoPro Hero 3 in MP4 format.  There are about 1 hrs shooting in several clips and I extracted about 20 clips to create the 6 minute film.  There are transitions between each clip.  I used some video stabilization, but not on each clip.  There is an MP3 to add music.

  I looked at the performance of the PC while exporting (via Task Manager) and PE used about 80-90% CPU and 30% of memory.  I checked that the drivers and devices/system apparently are aware.

  I have 7 of QuickTime for Windows 10 installed.

  I tried to uninstall PE 14 (including preferences) completely and reinstalling without effect.

  The PC specification is:

  I am very new to this video please forgive me if I'm missing something obvious to this problem, or I should have provided more information to facilitate troubleshooting.  Any suggestions anyone can give would be very welcome.

• First issues of rendering CC2015 CUDA (OS Yosemite 10.10.3, GTX970, h.264)

  Hey guys, this is a double post since SOUL forums, but crosses of problem more in first so I thought I would post it here too.

  Whenever I try to make something in Adobe Media Encoder CC 2015 (results reproduced in first Pro CC 2015, different GUI notwithstanding), I get terrible results.

  I am running OS Yosemite 10.10.3 on a map of GTX970 (on a Board of z79x, with a processor UD7 intel 4790K) and I am trying to make a fifteen minute in h.264 clip.  I have the current driver for the card web and the current CUDA driver installed, and I am able (and indeed only) select the CUDA in encode.  Encoder starts the render and runs * incredible * slowly, giving me an ETA of upward of 20 hours for completion.

  On the same hardware, I tried to make in an environment Windows - I always get slow results but nowhere near as slow.  Still nothing remotely usable.

  I am yet to test if this happens with other codecs, and other types of compression.  I'm trying an old copy of CS5.5 to see if that solves nothing.  Try OpenCL or software seems do nothing to change the problem.  This problem did not occur in CC2014 (although I was getting errors with that weird forcequit, but this is neither here nor there).

  I've been struggling with this for the most part all weekend, so I would like if someone can point me in the right direction - from that moment all the reliable patches, I found online were applicable only to software there are two or three revisions.  The last time I saw something like that, the fix was wait me a few months for a software patch.  I hope that this will not be the case this time, lols.

  I had to roll back to Adobe Media Encoder 2014, which behaves in the way it is supposed to behave.  I've included pictures showing 2014 properly rendering with CUDA and one showing 2015 totally ignoring my GPU.

• New certifications VMWare VCP

  Hello.
  I need your help to understand how to manage with the new VMWare certifications.
  I saw all the certifications are now named VCP5-XX, the 'simple' VCP5 disappeared almost everywhere at VMWare.
  Since I'm VCP4 and VCP5 certified, I would like to know how to handle this.
  The VCP5 have no meaning more at VMWare and I have to take other exams to update to VCP5-XX?
  Will be the VCP5 updated automatically with one of the names of this new?
  If so, why in myTranscript and logos I can still see the simple VCP5 of 'old '?
  Can anyone of you please help me with a clear explanation of what's going on?
  Of course, any document on this subject or any kind of help is welcome.

  For the traditional PVC based on vSphere the suffix - DV is just a change of name/rebranding exercise. The secure Channel branding now applies to 3 areas of different products as follows:

  VCP - DV = data center virtualization (vSphere)

  VCP-Cloud = cloud (vCloud Director)

  VCP - DT = Desktop (view)

  So VCP5-DV is the new name of VCP5, and you are a VCP4-DV and a VCP5-DV.

  I don't know if/when that VMware updates transcripts/logos.
