• Second block of text during the first

  I have a doc who, for some reason, has a new block of text layered on top of one.  Typing goes into the new framework and I can't change the original text.  I can delete the new framework to obtain the actual text, but it happened on all pages of the doc.

  My question is, where it comes from?  I didn't add it, and it was not there a month ago.  I have rename the stream and the new framework is called flow of A, which is the default value and which should not exist anymore.

  What gives?

  Docs framework must have a stream called default 'A' - even if delete you or rename, the next time that FM open the doc it will create the flow of 'A' and plunk on the pages of body, always above any other flow, using a 'frame size to default text flow.

  In some docs to the unusual requirements (aviation manuals) I've resized the frame of 'A' on the master pages to be, say, 1 "x 1" and moved to the outside corner of right-to-left page and then created named needed additional streams. I then use flow one as a container for the markers that were later taken over by interpolations to dynamically fill created lists of markers or headers/footers body - the applicable page.

• Tip action does not work when I add a second block of decision

  I'm writing an advanced action 8 Captivate. In response to a question about the points, the user types a number in a text entry area. When they support, the fast action will assess the number. If it is 10, the program should jump to a slide that shows that 10 is the right answer. (When I do just that in a single block of decision, it works.)

  However, the full tip action must assess if the value is higher or lower than 10, then return the user to the question slide and displays an appropriate message. When I add the part in a second decision block, advanced action performs as expected if an incorrect value is entered, but does not work if the correct value is entered. It does is display the question slide once again.

  Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? Should there be an ELSE statement in the first block of decision? I tried to continue, but that did not help.

  The logic of your advanced action is not correct. All decisions are always evaluated. What is happening here is the following:

  1. First decision check if var is equal to 10; If this is the case, it will change to slide 2
  2. Second decision check if var is greater than 10, if it is accurate, it will move on to slide 1. I guess the capPoints1High is ON slide 1?
  3. BUT here's the logic bug: If If is not greater than 10, which is also the case when it is equal to 10, it will change to slide 1, although already, he jumped to slide 2 first with the first decisioin

  Two possible solutions:

  1. decision of the switch 1 and 2 (one easier)
  2. remove the ELSE part of decision 2 and create a decision 3 to check if var is less than 10

  I've implemented TimesTen to improve performance of an Oracle pl/sql block.

  To do this, I created some cachegroups in TimesTen for caching oracle data.

  After everything is done on TimesTen, when we execute the pl/sql block on TimesTen, I observed that it took 35 seconds for the first run time on Timesten (compared with 48 seconds on Oracle).  The next run of the same pl/sql block with the same parameters take only 6 seconds. I want to achieve the same flow rate (6 sec) when the pl/sql block is executed for the first time. Can you please suggest what exactly I should look into.

  Ye, it's a phenomenon known as I mentioned, but the 'hit' on the first run is usually not nearly this big. However, Windows as a platform is suffering more than most from this phenomenon and also Windows supports only not MemoryLock = 4, which further compounds the issue.

  Would you happen to have an available Linux system where you could test this with MemoryLock = 4, just so we can see what the difference between Linux and Windows? I think it would be a very useful thing to study to quantify how much this is due to Windows itself.

  A 'workaround' could be just application make a 'fake' execution of the PL/SQL procedure, immediately after I start and then all 'real' subsequent executions will be fast.

• iPhone 6, 9.3.2 ignores the first 20 to 30 seconds of songs randomly

  My iPhone 6 installed the latest iOS, 9.3.2,and random seems to jump the first 20-30 seconds of a song. When displayed in the view of the song, the length of the song is also altered, but when I'm out at the sight of the full album on the phone, the length is what it should be. There seems to be no reason or rhyme decide what songs are affected. Stop smoking and the reopening of the music application sometimes works, but the question usually only happens to a song at once (that I can tell) and is apparently arbitrary. I have no special parameters for these songs and they behave that way in iTunes. I do not have them the random value, so it would not glitch when more synchronized that this feature is no longer supported on the phone. The problem will disappear at random and my phone will select new songs to be a victim of this. I still have to erase and Resync my music so I'll try that if nothing else comes up as a solution. I see nothing that would cause other than a glitch iOS.
