First Photos ICloud and access to Photos

Hello

Part two question:

I have a lot of pictures that I shot in RAW (large format) files.

I can put them in the ICloud?

The only person access to only those Photos?

(other than me)

If I turned Smith wedding photographer. Take the place of the marriage in a new file in the cloud. And leave the Smiths to have access to these pictures?

Thank you!

iCloud can store RAW images. You will need to put in place a shared album and invite them to share.

I have a lot of pictures I want to save but they don t have to be accessible from anywhere. If I download the originals on my iMac, they stay there if I delete images to iCloud and I can access it through photos?

If you have Yosemite 10.10.3 or later and the photos are in the pictures (successor of iPhoto) app on your Mac and iCloud library is turned on in the preferences of Photos on your Mac, and then when you delete photos to iCloud to icloud.com or any device where iCloud library is turned on, then they will be also deleted Photos on your Mac app.

To be sure, you can respond with more details on the 1) how the photos were initially charged iCloud (when turning on photo library iCloud in settings > iCloud > Photos?) or give details of what you did to put on iCloud 2) how you want to download them on your Mac and where (e.g. Photos ((, iPhoto or both) and 3) what version of operating system is on your Mac (Apple menu > about this Mac).

  • How I have no space on my ipad by storing photos on icloud (and their elimination of the ipad)

My storage is full on my ipad, I bought an extra storage in icloud.

I want to "liberate" space on my ipad to store the photos on my icloud and their elimination from the ipad.  Currently I can only store them at a time, which seems to go to the purchase of storage additional icloud.

    Hi victoriafromswansea,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple! If you are currently using iCloud photo library and looking to save space on your iPad, you can find the option optimize the described in the following article useful:

Can I use iCloud photo library to save space on my device?

iCloud photo library automatically keeps all of your photos and videos in the original version, in high resolution. Follow these steps to choose how you store your photos and videos on your device:

    • On your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, tap Settings > iCloud > pictures or settings > Photos & camera, then select a storage parameter.
    • On your Mac, click on Photos > Preferences > iCloud, and select a storage parameter.

If you turn on [device] Optimize storage, iCloud photo library manages automatically the size of your library on your device, you can make the most of your device storage and access photos more than ever. All of your original photos, full resolution and the videos are stored in iCloud while unit size versions are stored on your device. You can download original photos and videos over Wi - Fi or cell phone when you need it.

If you turn on download original, iCloud photo library will keep your original, full resolution photos and videos on iCloud and on your device. Download the originals is the default setting for iOS devices with 5 GB free storage plan and all Mac devices.

You need an Internet connection to access a photo original or video that is stored only in iCloud.

  • Storage of original photos of full resolution in iCloud and IMac

    Hi all.

I have what I think, it is a very simple question, but for the life of me cannot find a definitive answer.

I have a librurary of photo on my iMac. (don't have not yet updated for sierra)

I would like to support this thesis / store the originals in ICloud AND keep them on my mac.

SO I think that the obvious thing to do is select "optimize storage" in the settings of cloud photo which clearly says that they will be in the cloud and the computer. But here's the question...

If my IMac is low on space will start serving the original photos so that they are FAIR to Icloud?

If so, what is the threshold of how much space it starts to do this?

and if I recover my space again once on the iMac will be the original re download back to my iMac?

    Thanks in advance people.

You may not use the setting 'Optimize storage' - select ' download originals for the Mac ", if you want than the originals, to be stored locally on the Mac and on iCloud.

So that 'download originals to the Mac' is activated, all of the original will be kept on your Mac as well.

It will not start original purge, as long as you keep "Optimize storage disabled".

Optimization of the storage with the storage management is automatic.  Photos will download the originals if you need and remove, if more storage is needed. You cannot control this.

iCloud library is no backup. It is a synchronization service to keep all your libraries on different devices synchronized and updated. If you accidentally delete photo from your library, it is not possible to restore from iCloud. Deletion can be synchronized to all devices and iCloud, so the photo has disappeared everywhere.  You need a backup separate from your library on an external drive, even if you use iCloud photo library.

  • How to remove Photos from the iPhone/iPad/iCloud and no pictures

How to take a photo with my iPhone/iPad, allow it to synchronize with Photos on my Mac via iCoud, then delete from my iPhone/iPad/iCloud and removes any Photos on Mac? I want to save the photo on your computer and save space on small devices?

I keep seeing articles on the iCloud market turn but it seems the photos all return on the devices once restarted. I want to iCloud on use as a conduit to get the photos to my computer, not as a large storage space. I want the Photos app on my Mac where all the photos are filled and stored and choose those which is left each device.

Right now they are all in the pictures on the Mac, but I'm worried if I remove it from my iPhone/iPad that they will disappear from Photos on the Mac. I don't understand the new Photos app with all the missing features of iPhoto.

    Thank you!

You can not that's not how works iCloud photo library - it is not a conduit but a total synchronization service whose entire raison d'etre is to keep libraries connected identical - all changes made on any device (addition, deletion or modification) are made on all devices. For devices with limited memory, using optimized photos

If this isn't what you want then use another service - USB import, iTunes sync, MyPhotoStream for example each do different things and everyone can move photos from one device to another

And Photos lack a lot of features iPhoto form - in fact much more features than iPhoto including iCloud library there like a bigger and better editing capability and better external editing capability and so on

  • ICloud and obsolete Photos.library

I had lost the data of three days because of a problem with the update (10.11.6) and damaged the last time machine backup. If I had recovered from the oldest. Now I want to synchronize photos with iCloud where are the most recent. But when I opened iPhotos app it starts immediately to download the entire library stored on my mac to iCloud. Why? These photos are already on iCloud and there's more recent photos. It should not just download these photos which are in lack of mac? And does not remove this download new photos iCloud?

    Thanks for any advice.

Photos will upload your library still frequently. Every time you have to compare the current local library for iCloud. It will download all the photos in your library, compare photos in iCloud, resolve the conflicts.  Once all potos miising upload, it will start ing to upload photos that are found only in iCloud.

If you restore your library from a backup, move to another disk or repair library, or if the crash Photos, download again the pictures and you can't avoid it.  Try to avoid the reasons for the upload.

  • Hello. I so want to know if there is a way to keep the photos on icloud and get them deleted on your iphone, so that there is no problem of storage of the device

Hello. I so want to know if there is a way to keep the photos on icloud and get them deleted on your iphone, so that there is no problem of storage of the device.

iCloud is a synchronization system, not an external 'hard drive '. If you remove them on your device, they will remove icloud. To increase the available space, go settings/iCloud/Photos and select optimize iPhone/iPad storage. That will reduce the space required by 90% when it is fully effective.

  • Can I transfer my photos on iCloud and always keep them on my Mac?

Can I transfer my photos on iCloud and always keep them on my MacMini?

Yes. Indeed if you use iCloud photo library and delete a picture of the Photos app on your Mac, it will be also deleted icloud.

If you open the preferences of Photos and click on iCloud at the top of the preferences window and turn on iCloud photo library and also select the 'download for the Mac originals"rather than the"Optimize Mac Storage"option, the original size will be kept on your Mac.

  • Is there a limit to how many photos I can keep in my iCloud and how long can I keep them stored there for?

Is there a limit to how many photos I can download on my iCloud and is there a time limit on them once that I download them?

It's a very difficult question to ask.  It's like someone who says fill this box with books - you can fill with 100 books or you can fill it with 10 books in bulk.  Of course, pictures/videos are limited to how much space you have.  I have over 7000 photos/videos and I am on the plan of 50 GB with about 20.8 left.  Time - zero limit.  Once it's in the cloud, and you continue to pay for your space, it will stay there indefinitely until you move elsewhere or delete.

  • Save the photos on icloud and eliminate the ios device

I have a lot of photos on my iPhone. I want to delete them and they are stored in iCloud. But when I delete a photo on the iPhone, it removes also iCloud.

Is it possible to have all photos in iCloud without deleting?

As OneDrive app, they don't synchronize and store pictures of the iPhone, and if I delete a picture they do not remove on the cloud.

Is it possible to have all photos in iCloud without deleting?

When you delete them from your phone, they will remove icloud. Try going to settings/iCloud and optimize storage. This will reduce the space that take photos.

  • Can I store photos on iCloud and remove them from my phone?

I'm running out of storage on my phone, and I have a ton of space in my iCloud.  How can I store photos on icloud and then delete them on my phone?

You can turn oniCloud photo library and have pictures on the phone optimized for the limited iPhone storage.  The instructions in the link are clear enough but I would like to know if you have any questions.

  • Re photos in Icloud and Drobox question

Hi, I want to put all of my photos from various sources, including thousands of Icloud and Dropbox (more of which are duplicated) in one place where I can organize, tag and remove the duplicates.  Lightbox is suitable for it?

Lightroom (not jQuery) to do this.

Photos can be stored in the cloud, they must be on a disk or local network.
