  I'm on windows 7 ultimate x 64 sp1

  problem is solved I uninstalled completely all adobe products on my computer with windows 7 a management tool unistaller and reg! I deleted all files from adobe and registers with adobe name keys. If the problem was, I believe, with old adobe creative suite former cs5.5 files (install failure once, I tried before) that cannot be crushed or something... then the solution for this is to ensure that creative suite cs5.5 or any other adobe product is deleted from the computer, to 100% after that clean computer with ccleaner or other tools and after restarting reinstall adobe as an administrator. That's how I did and seems that first pro and photoshop works, at least they are loading up and don't crash! Also update works fine.

  Versions must be the same to make it work.  You will have to perhaps put the original clip in AE and when you're done, export off AE file for use in PP.

I've been using Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, AfterEffects CS5, I admit they get more glitchy with age (closing suddenly)- so I don't know if it's a technical problem with my computer, or maybe I do not download the right choice? I downloaded the program by clicking on Download Adobe Creative Suite 5 products. I would appreciate help. Thank you!

  FYI: I have a MacBook Pro (early 2011), OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.3, processor 2.3 Ghz Intel Core i7, 8 GB memory, AMD Radeon HD 6750 M 1024 MB graphics card.

  Sorry, you have problems with this. The problem is that you are running an operating system not supported according to requirements for CS5. Windows 10 is simply not supported, we cannot give you advice other than the installation of a Windows 7 boot disk in your computer and first Pro CS5 install it.   I suggest that you buy a separate boot disk, install Windows 7 and install first Pro CS5 on this disc. Start on this disc of any time you need to edit with first Pro CS5.
