  Right-click on the exe to PS file and choose Run as administrator. I think you choose the option "check mail", it will not ask again.

  Months, my computer has suddenly started glitching on me.  I stopped and tried a reboot.  The system froze on start with flying colors.  System recovery tried several times but must have made a mistake because he wouldn't.  Resolved to buy a new hard drive and reinstall from the recovery disks.  Delayed unnecessarily until today, months later.

  Restarted.  Press F11.  A ran maintenance and checked the hard disk for errors.  There are errors.  Unfortunately, the default setting of CHKDSK does not repair them.   A opted for a command line.  RAND CHKDSK again with option '/ f/r' seen in other posts.  Here I am too ignorant to get the program to run properly, I guess.  I ran CHKDSK on the two player X and C.  No error found... sort of.  I know they exist because the system will not start.  (Yes, I tried again.)  Return to the command prompt, I tried to run CHKDSK on the drive C again.  This time I got a message that I must first dismount (remove?) the reader.  As I don't know what that means, I opted for the 'no' and have decided to post this help message.

  So.  Suggestions on what do I do then?  More specifically: How do CHKDSK to fix the errors it found?  I think the message was: "errors in $130 of the sector...". "It shows this message two times at the end of 62%.  Freezes for a long time.  Gets will still only slow down to a crawl again around 70%, but no longer.  Then returns to the start of system recovery screen.

  System recovery ran again for the pleasure.  Again, seemed to work like a charm.  Unfortunately, the laptop again sits frozen at "Preparing... for first use" screen again.  It heats more turns.  The audible fan works now plans higher... If none of this helps.  I am stopping and waiting for your advice.

  My apologies for the delay to return to you.  Believe you that computer gremlins have not hit my very stable desktop which has been fine for years with sudden instability driver?  McAfee thanks for this most recent update!

  In any case, after several diagnoses and find the hard drive has failed in each of them, I decided to install a new copy of Windows 7 as a test while I wait for my upcoming recovery disks in the mail.  I did it by removing all partitions on the drive and do a fresh install.  Here again, everything seemed to go well until that (apparently) a certain area of the drive was used to save/installation of the files.  Even after CHKDSK runs several times (each time he repaired several defective sectors but stalled after only 10% of the disk) the system will become unstable - the last number being a blank screen after logging on to Windows.  So, all in all, epic fail on the side of the hard drive.  The new drive is installed and waiting for my recovery disks.

  Thanks for all your suggestions.  They have been a great help with information, but not with the results because of the training.

  Running 32-bit Windows 7 - Excel 2010 - unable to connect to SQL 2000 of the GreatPlains OLAP Cubes - message Getting connection refused actively.

  It works with XP and even load Excel 2010.  I can't find what I need to change in win 7.  I guess that's the firewall or driver settings.  I completely disabled the firewall and still no luck.  I also took the file to connect to the XP machine and tried to use it as an existing connection and still have the error.  I ran Excel on the Win 7 XP SP2, XP SP3 and still no luck.  I have spent hours reading and researching the issue and can not find an answer.
  I tried to change the OLAP service account and open all ports on the server.  Still nothing.  The error message will connect to the client computer and the server does not record demand, so I think that I don't yet get on the server.  I do not understand as well as if the message is actively refusing connection.
  I can run the cubes very well on the server and on the XP SP3 with Excel 2010 machine.
  I'm in my troubleshooting garnis.  There has been some problems, that I have not been able to solve in Microsoft Servers and this is one.  I know that there is an answer.  I'm just not see it.

  Maybe it's not the ideal forum for this, but there's probably first users who have dealt with this before...

  I'm a fan of video full/some time user first with tapes Mini DV a dozen in a box that have not been read over the years. (I sold the camera a long time ago) I just discovered that the Mini DV is now obsolete and that I would be better to go fast if I want to get these images before a Mini DV equipment is no longer available.  I want to make a one-time transfer of images to a disk external terabyte, but do not know what is the most economical way to go about it.

  I looked through this Ebay page http://tinyurl.com/nu43k3j where I can spend hundreds on the recorders, players, camcorders. I know not what questions to ask - as I use Firewire or USB, or is it slower? Should I get a cheapo camcorder used for these 12 bands, and hope that the engine tends, or do I need a player/bridge? In addition, I don't know what is the format of the contents of the tape Mini DV will be when transferred. Once I get a device, are there different formats or codecs should I consider before I start the transfer or a film DV Mini still comes like .mov or something? I want just the raw images, something first can change. The transfer format after what I want is something that I would need to know before buying something I guess...

  Any suggestions? Something to sell? Thanks in advance!

  I transferred a lot of these bands, not so long ago. Looking at your specs, we have very similar Mac Pro office towers. This means that your Mac probably has FireWire 400 (6-pin) and FireWire 800 (9-pin) ports on the front and the back, so you're completely covered on having FireWire. This leaves the other side, the camera. A miniDV camera should have port FireWire 4 pin on it (Sony called iLink on their cameras). The main thing is that you will need a FireWire cable 4 pin at one end for the camera, and 6 or 9 pin ports FireWire on your Mac at the other end either. If you need to buy the cable Monoprice is less than $5.

  It shouldn't really be a problem with miniDV format; It was a rather well established standard and most of miniDV cameras should it have saved the same way. You are right that miniDV raw footage is automatically imported as .mov files. There is nothing to choose here. .Mov is just an extension of file name for QuickTime container format, what is really inside is a video file in the standard DV codec. You will still need to first export it to a format of modern such as H.264 to upload it to a website.

  Premiere Pro should have no trouble in but you need to check your first capture settings. With the camera is plugged, enabled and set to play mode, go to first preferences, click device control and set it to the model and the camera brand. Then file > Capture should work. In the Capture window, click the settings tab and make sure that Format of Capture is DV, HDV not. Once all this is set, you should be able to control the first miniDV camera and record interactively.

  If your build script contains a CLEAR sequence, then the cube will automatically synchronize with the fact table. Consider the following sequence of actions.

  (1) insert a line in fact with (prod = "P1", time = 'T1')
  (2) load the cube. The cell (prod = "P1", time = 'T1') will now be in the cube.
  (3) remove the line from the fact
  (4) load the cube again.

  Will be the cell (prod = "P1", time = 'T1') still be in the cube at the end of all this? The answer is YES, if the script is (LOAD, SOLVE) and SO if the script is (CLEAR, LOAD, SOLVE). The AWM default script is LOAD, SOLVE.

  This problem occurs randomly. The only way I found to get it back is to rebuild the composition. I had to resort to keep each video in a separate project, because everytime I open a project I'm afraid that this will happen. It seems to happen on both my work and home computer and it happened since before the recent update.

  As I said, I couldn't find any mention of this problem online, but I could be looking under the wrong keywords.

  Any ideas?

  Edit: I had this problem before the upgrade, but that goes for first 8.0.0 fixed. I can now open the same specific project file, and everything works fine, so I guess it's something to do with the "valorisation" (break) first project when you open it with a newer version. So yes, don't update if you want to work with your existing projects!

  Hello - I have an installation LR4 and decided to upgrade to CC.  I am running Mac OSX 10.11 (El Capitan) on an iMac of mid-2011.  I bought the subscription for CC LR6/PS and I'm following the guests to install.  I downloaded the installer CC DMG and opened it.  I have then double click the installer.  There is now an icon of Adobe (infinity symbol) in my bar menu at the top of the screen.  When I click on it, I get the picture below.

  Under the 'Apps' tab, it says only: "the wait" next to Lightroom.  This is not a very descriptive or useful status.  What exactly should I wait?  There download something?  This is post something?  And how much time should I wait?

  Finally installed.  It seems that the installation process has been murder my network connection.  All other devices (iPhone, laptop) maintains a connection to my wifi network, but my iMac could not hold a connection when installing CC. Lucky for me, I am a human being unpleasant and happened to have a 60 foot ethernet cable "hanging around" (you can bet that I need all 60 feet to reach the modem down).  A few reboots later and I'm in business.  If all goes well with the app is a bit more transparent.
