• AS3.0 Slider to drag the timeline is to duplicate the first image. Why?

  I had a slider that I'm having problems with. This slider is to control the scenario of a clip when you drag. My problem is that it seems to be the first image of duplication. When I drag the slider to the right it will hit first tick and continues to display what is frame 1... then the next ticks will continue with the rest of the timeline. Any ideas how to prevent / course come my slider to do this with the first image? I have difficulties to explain so I have attached an example.

  It seems to me that you are using a Flex with an Image container as your itemRenderer. Really, this is not a good practice because the containers are heavy and you will cause performance problems.

  If you only view the images, you must use the Image as your itemRenderer. Then, when you drag one of the points, you will only get the container with a scroll bar. The image may still have a background and not be transparent, however.

• Cannot drag clips autour in editing! Help!

  Hey everyone, I've been on first for about 7 months now, commonly Avid and FCP. For some reason, as of today, I can't seem to drag clips around a project as I have before (and can easily do in other programs). I can't even drag a clip from the Source monitor directly on the timeline. I can insert and replace, I choose the clip once it is on the timeline, but I can't drag and drop. Anyone else having this problem?

  Well, for those who care, and potentially running into the same question I did, it has something to do with multiple monitors. The miracle solution (which was not quick to determine) is to drag your timeline on your primary monitor, in this case, my iMac screen 5 k. Then, as if by magic, everything is fine. FRY it on your second monitor, and you should be able to drag/drop/manipulate the clips.

  It could have been an article for purely me, but you never know...

• How can I separate two movies on the same timeline?

  I use the first elements 11 but that you him have not used for quite awhile so I forgot much of what I learned. So here's my question: I have two movies on the same timeline. How can I separate them. In other words, how can I move one on the timeline, so it won't confuse my editing on the other? But better yet - how can I make a movie on the timeline completely and change it later as a separate film. I have really four shorts - a minute long. I would like to change separately, with a new file name. I don't know how to do that more.

  I did some research on the issues that you have raised in this thread.

  After you import a video into the assets of the project, you can right click it, select Rename. This file when you drag the timeline will have the new name.

  But...

  If you import a video into the assets of the project, drag it to the timeline, right-click clip timeline, select Rename from the pop-up, then the calendar file will be renamed but not its thumbnail in the active project. You rename this project asset vignette to match if you want. However, these traces yet files renamed to the original with original filename to its disk hard saving location.

  All down your Timeline... one way would be to export the clip selectively if she was included in the Group of the clips on the Timeline. Two conditions for

  a. change box, set the gray tabs on the work area bar to expand on the segment to export

  and

  (b) in the field of export, have a check mark next to the option "Action work area Bar only.

  If you have made a clip in the active project, double clicked to open the preview window, you can cut the clip with the points put in and Set Out and create "subitems" with new names in the active project. These "subitems" would be part of the media of this project which could be moved to the timeline when necessary.

• Two different colors Clip on the Timeline?

  My Calendars sometimes end by with clips that are different colors, and I've never been able to understand why.  Anyone know?

  These clips are from the same camera (Sony EX1r), turned outside for a few minutes.  Imported at the same time from the media browser into the project and then dropped to the timeline.

  This is a bug that has been around for Media Browser (MB) has been introduced in CS4. This happens sometimes, sometimes it doesn't.

  If you are importing the Mo file in the project Panel directly it works ok most of the time, sometimes it doesn't. However, if you double-click the file in MB and opens in the Source, and then drag the timeline support very often, IE clips come with a color for video and a color for audio. I have never been able to replicate it at 100%.

  It has nothing to do with different types of clips because the imported clips are A / V.

  I don't know what I have while working in a Flash CS3 document, but I can't display frames upwards in my timeline. All that I can see is the layers it - they take to the top of the entire region, and when I try to grab and drag the timeline to shorten the layers nothing happens. I must have hit something by accident. I need to understand this fast! Help!

  the op has solved the problem in another thread.  double click on the 3 vertical lines to the right of the trash or icon delete layer) activates / deactivates the timeline to be hidden or shown.

  I am trying to edit a dvd. I know that I have to convert the vob to a wmv file but it keeps shortening the length of the video. I downloaded at least 6 converter programs and none doesn't seem to help. I would like to edit this video in Windows Movie Maker. Help, please!

• Paint over the video after the addition of adjustment layer?

  I have a little video, 30 seconds, and I try to draw the frame by frame on top of the video with a brush. While it's easy I would first change the black and white video. By adding a black and white adjustment layer, it does not allow with a brush. I was wondering if there was another way to select all the images in the video and change it to black and white while helping paint me over it frame by frame.

  I struggled to learn by trial and error, so my workflow is questionable, but I'll try and at least help you get started.  My screenshot is too big for the page, then click to expand to see comfortably.

  So I started with a group of video with the Lady driving a cow.  This is the video Group 1.  With the video layer selected in the layers panel, I add a B & W adjustment panel and my video becomes black and white.

  To add an animation on top of that, I have to make a new video group using the small movie icon at the left end of the Timeline.

  For me, I see the second group of video, and so I have to drag the timeline at the bottom of the page and make more great by dragging its lower edge.

  You need something to draw, so with the video Group 2 twirl open, add a layer. It will be too long, but don't worry at this stage.

  Make your drawing on this layer.  If you want that the animation to change two images, move forward two frames of the time indicator and use the scissors to cut the video group at that time.

  You will need to market the onion skins (steal our in the upper right corner of the scenario)

  You will now be able to see a ghost of the last image to use as a guide to draw on the other.

  Note: every time you cut the track, it will create a new layer draw.  By clicking on an item in the Assembly will select this layer.

  Therefore, my axe up to attempt using video editing for animation.  Until very recently I agreeing me with those who cannot not work why onion skins isn't available only for video and image animations.  It was an ordinary user error!   I'm sure that you'll be able to Polish my clumsy workflow, and I'd appreciate a heads up if you do.

• How can I insert a specified number of frames in the layer automatically?

  I want to insert a keyframe at frame 5000 (or let's say 5 minutes in) without having to manually drag 5000 frame, how can I do this? Do I need a plugin or is there a way to do in anime?

  After reading the responses, I came to a solution that works well and is a lot faster that manually by dragging the timeline. Using the command run and. JSFL.

  In Notepad, I pasted:

  fl.getDocumentDOM () .getTimeline () .insertKeyframe (4999);

  Then I saved it as a .jsfl

  Then I clicked in Animate the command run command and choose the jsfl file

  It then creates a keyframe at the 4999 frame that allows for a forthcoming longer scrolling (by default when you create a new file my Animate / Flash don't come stand on the frame of 655)

  I appreciate the answers! This saves me a lot of tedious time required to manually drag a timeline when your animation on an audio file for a long time.

  Is there a way to STOP me being able to drag the timeline autour? He pushes me nutso when I accidentally drag it. I'd love to be able to switch that somehow.

  This was thought earlier. If you go to the options panel, top right of the timeline, there is a locking option. That should help him.

• Analysis of starting title to half way through the clip

  I am creating a title simple analysis. I have everything set up the way I like it, and in the flow in the vertical options / I selected the following:

  Analysis of left

  End off the screen

  Preroll, simplicity, ease-Out: zero all

  I can drag the timeline title. The problem is that analysis does not start until the middle of the title element. No matter what size I extend the clip to, the speed of analysis is scaling proportionally, but it does not start until around half of the clip. It's like there's a preroll Preview even if it has the value zero in the options. Any ideas?

  I went back to the project after the closing and reopening of first, and now the title is its appearance at the beginning of the clip as planned, but with exactly the same settings! It is a common problem that I found with the first, that some unexpected behavior "" attaches when the project is closed and restarted.

• 4 k monitor workspace

  I use Photoshop CC on a Samsung 4 k via Display Port Monitor.  I can't get the interface for the full screen.  This is a limitation, or I'm doing something wrong here?  I can't expand the image area in the black field below - which represents about 50% of the horizontal screen area.

  If I open the timeline, it will dock at the bottom of the screen.  I could then expand the timeline upward and completely fill space black, to move the image to the top area.  If I drag the timeline toward the bottom, the area of the image stops at the same place.  If I arrange 3-vertical documents, images of the document will be stack and fill the space monitor (and the black area).  But for a single image, I can't change the window full-screen.  Any ideas?

  You can check if the break is activated? Look in the D & D, Options Panel.
