Database of stolen devices

Hello.

Apple has a database where the victims of theft could enter the serial number of the unit, so that a person who wants to buy a used device can check the serial number? My MacBook Pro was stolen 2 days in San Francisco, the Golden Gate Park.

Thank you

  • Can I access iCloud photos from a stolen device?

    Long story short, my mini iPad was stolen.

    She has been saved to iCloud, although I have no idea what the level of operating system was.

    I have a new mini iPad, with the same account as stolen.

    I was wondering if I can access/download photos on the stolen device?

    And if so, how I would go all this?

    Thank you

    Welcome to Apple Support communities

    Unless you had your photos in the photo library from iCloud, you are unable to access your photos in your old iPad mini. However, if you use iCloud photo library, you should be able to access them from the Photos app.

  • Worry not that my account was hacked, or my stolen device found once more.

    I received an email from auto to Heathrow Airport has sent to my email from Apple yesterday, account while at the point I was in Asia. It's either my hacked account, or a long lost ipad/iphone/computer laptop is turned on.

    Do you know what email address to Apple I can contact to find the device that got connected and received the email from Heathrow Airport?

    Thank you.

    Hello, N.Dingo.

    It seems that you are affected by a message about a stolen iOS device. The following Knowledge Base article provides information and additional links regarding the protection of your account and your tracking device:

    If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch is lost or stolen

    If you lose your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch or think it might be stolen, these steps may help you to find and protect your data.

    If find my iPhone is turned on, you can use it to find your device. If find my iPhone isn't on, change your passwords and the report of the missing device.

    If you find my iPhone turned on your missing device

    You can use Find My iPhone to find your device and to take additional measures that can help you recover and protect your data.

    1. Login to icloud.com/find on a Mac or PC, or use the find my iPhone app on another iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
    2. Find your device. Open find my iPhone, and then select a device to see its location on a map. If the device is nearby, you can have it play a sound to help you or someone nearby to find.
    3. Activate the Mode lost. Use the lost Mode, you can lock your device with a four-digit coderemotely, display a personalized message with your phone number on the lock screen of your missing device and keep track of the location of your device. If you have added maps to pay Apple to debit or credit, the ability to make payments using Apple pay on the device is suspended when you put your device in Mode lost.

  • Report your lost or stolen to the local police unit. Law enforcement could ask the serial number of your device. Find the serial number of your device.
  • Erase your device. To prevent anyone to access data on your missing device, you can erase it remotely. When you wipe your device, all of your information (including credit or debit to pay Apple) will be removed from the device, and you won't be able to find it using find my iPhone. After you delete a device, you cannot follow him. If you remove the device from your account after you delete it, locking Activation will be switched off. This allows someone else to activate and use your device.
  • If you use the sharing of family, any family member can help locate the device missing by another Member. Check your member of the family connect you to iCloud with their Apple ID, and you can find any device associated with this family sharing account.

    What to do if your iOS device is turned off or offline?

    If your missing device is turned off or offline, you can still implement this Mode lost, lockor remote wipe. The next time your device is online, these measures will take effect. If you remove the device from your account while it is offline, pending actions for the device will be cancelled.

    How to disable or cancel lost Mode?

    You can disable lost Mode by entering the access code on your device. Alternatively, you can disable the Mode lost on iCloud.com or the find my iPhone app.

    If find my iPhone is not activated on your missing device

    If you do not enable find my iPhone before your device has been lost or stolen, you can not use it to locate your device. However, you can use the following steps to help protect your data:

    1. Change your password on Apple ID. By changing your Apple ID password, you can prevent anyone to access your iCloud data or using other services (such as iMessage or iTunes) from your missing device.
    2. Change the passwords of other internet accounts on your device. This might include email, Facebook, or Twitter accounts.
    3. Report your lost or stolen to the local police unit. Law enforcement could ask the serial number of your device. Find the serial number of your device.
    4. Report your lost device to your mobile phone service provider. Your carrier can deactivate the account, preventing the use of data, texts and phone calls.

    Find my iPhone is the only way that you can follow or locate a lost device or missing. If find my iPhone is not activated on your device until missing, there is no other service from Apple that can find, follow or flag, otherwise your device for you.

    Thank you for reaching out to the communities of Apple Support.

    Kind regards.

  • How the LOCKING device to prevent its use in the case of lost/stolen device

    Hi, Im trying to implement a feature so that the device can be locked remotely in the case of the appliance is been lost/stolen.

    Is there a way to do this? Probably to set a password to unlock or unblock again.

    Thank you

    You can use the ApplicationManager.lockSystem method to lock the device.  There is no way to programmatically set a password.

    Hi all

    I am running windows based acs 3.3 in my lan environment class must be replaced by acs 1120 running acs 4.2.1.15, ACS 3.3 database was built up to 4.2.0.124, step by step through the process of upgrading

    (1) acs 3.3.3.14---> 4.1.1.24

    (2) acs 4.1.1.24---> 4.2.0.124.

    now, my database is with 4.2.0.124 dmp file, I can not move my database to 4.2.1.15 because 4.2.1.15 patch is not applicable & executable on package evalution 90 days of 4.2.0.124 for the windows platform.

    can I import my windows based 4.2.0.124 datbase directly to my acs performer 4.2.1.15.3 device? another sound requires any action to change the database corresponding to the device windows version after windows-based.

    I could see on the device under the restoration of the following parameters (restore 4.2.0 suggest on this backup file to GBA 4.2.1), kindly

    .

    Hello Shema

    One thing you can try.

    [1] rollback patch-3 of the GBA unit. It must be done in CLI/console to acs is. This will bring you acs is ver 4.2.1 version 15.

    [2] restore the database from version 4.2.0 on ver 4.2.1 directly. You must activate a check box for restoration. [see the attachment, restore the section]

    [3] then apply the Patch 3 on GBA, after a successful restore.

    Try the following steps.

    Thank you

    Just spend two-channel SBT is implicitly:

    CONFIGURE DEVICE TYPE 'SBT_TAPE' PARALLELISM 2 BACKUP TYPE TO BACKUPSET;

    or explicitly block execution:

      ALLOCATE CHANNEL c2 DEVICE TYPE sbt;

  • No possibilities to find stolen devices... ?

    Hi all

    Is it possible to find the location of the laptop stolen, who uses hotmail as username account?

    Thank you

    Kind regards

    Alex.

    Hello

    Cases of theft, change every password you have.

    Take pictures of your laptop and save the ID of series/product number.  Report it to the police immediately and a copy of the police report.

    Go to JustStolen.net and sign up.  Enter the same information as on the police report.

    Software such as LoJack, Adeona and prey programs place tracking software on the laptop to use if stolen.

    Adeona is a free software and open source

    Prey is open source, but I don't think it's free

    LoJack is not free

    I think Gmail offer IP and Dropbox location if fitted on the system gives the exact location of the laptop.

  • Laptop stolen

    Hei guys, recently my laptop was stolen at school and she has not registered for the monitoring of peripheral services.

    Forward to your positive reply.

    Thank you

    Visit this database of stolen device from Toshiba:
    http://www.Toshiba.EU/innovation/Gen...UNITS_SUPPORT/

    Here you can save your laptop stolen.
    Any computer registered here will be refused service in Service Centers authorized Toshiba throughout Europe.
    In addition, police often contact Toshiba to identify stolen goods recovered by them and follow the first owner.

  • Laptops stolen - draw MAC addresses

    We had a number of thefts of laptop the past few months and would be able to follow some of these flights, if only we had the MAC addresses! When the new laptops are stolen just after delivery there is no record any of their wireless or the MAC addresses of the NETWORK card that could be used to locate their use on our network and the networks of other Institutions there. It seems that Toshiba does not keep a record of the serial number and MAC address.

    A plea for Toshiba: when will you begin keeping a record of MAC addresses against the serial numbers?

    Although we appreciate that software is available to change the addresses MAC is not valid to save addresses for every laptop on the issue?
    At least we would take a chance to follow the mobile phone in use... ???

    Hello

    It seems that it s not known to you, that this is a user forum and you will find only Toshiba users of cell phones here in the forum. If nobody from Toshiba here.

    Anyway did you check the lower part of one of the units of Toshiba?

    I found on my books different labels below with different numbers.
    There is a label with the serial number, model number and you will of course find the two labels with LAN MAC address and the WLan Mac address.
    I think that it s no problem so that everyone can note these numbers and addresses

    You know Toshiba support home page?
    Check this box:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-> support & download
    You will find a database with stolen devices. There, you can save your laptop stolen.

    With regard to the Mac address of follow-up;
    Of course, it is possible discover the Mac address, but how do you want to find the laptop with this Mac address? You want to follow the entire www?
    For me, that doesn't really sound realistic

  • Unable to connect to a local database on the Android device.

    Hi all

    I use JDeveloper 11.1.2.4.0. Earlier, I tried to create a web service data control to access my database through an Android device and it worked great! Now I'm implementing JDBC. My code works perfectly in a web application. However when I try to implement on an Android device, nothing happens when I press my button (with ActionListener). It's my java code:

    < code >

    {} public void onButtonPress (ActionEvent actionEvent)
    Connection Conn = null;
    Statement stmt = null;
    ResultSet rs = null;
    Boolean exitFlag = false;
    Boolean executeResult;
    try {}

    String driver = "oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver";
    Class.forName (driver) .newInstance ();
    System.out.println ("connection to the database...");
    String jdbcUrl = "jdbc:oracle:thin:@176.205.67.50:1529:trial";
    Conn is DriverManager.getConnection (jdbcUrl, "just_test", "new");.
    stmt = conn.createStatement ();

    String sql = "SELECT * from userfile" ;// where as username ' "' + getUsername() + ' ' ';"
    RS = stmt.executeQuery (sql);

    While (rs.next () & &! exitFlag) {}
    String dbusername = rs.getString ("USERNAME");
    String dbpassword = rs.getString ("PASSWORD");
    If (DBUserName.equalsIgnoreCase (getUsername ()) & & dbpassword.equalsIgnoreCase (getPassword ())) {}
    AdfmfContainerUtilities.invokeContainerJavaScriptFunction (AdfmfJavaUtilities.getFeatureName (), "adf.mf.api.amx.doNavigation", new Object() {"GB"});
    exitFlag = true;
    }
    exitFlag = true;
    }
    {if(!exitFlag)}
    () AdfmfContainerUtilities.invokeContainerJavaScriptFunction
    "adf.sample.mobile.MobileFeature,"
    "navigator.notification.alert,"
    New Object() {"the user name or password entered is incorrect.", "",
    ({"Invalid username or password", "Ok"});
    }
    } catch (Exception e) {}
    e.printStackTrace ();

    } {Finally
    try {}
    If (conn! = null)
    Conn.Close ();
    } catch (SQLException to) {}
    se.printStackTrace ();
    }
    }

    < code >

    The code works fine. But is there anything else I should do before you deploy my application?

    Thank you

    Mohamed.

    (By the way, see my old thread on this topic from September 2013):

    ( https://community.oracle.com/thread/2579300 )

    You cannot connect with JDBC ADF Mobile to a remote server - security settings will not let you do this.

    The right way to retrieve data from the remote database to a Mobile application of the ADF is through web services.

    You can use JDBC in ADF Mobile to access an SQLite local database on the device. See the example of HR that comes with ADF Mobile.

  • External database manual failover for device to vCO

    Hi all

    I'm trying to switch on my device vCO to a database server of different due to primary DB failure earlier this morning.  I had previously defined the vCO server to use an external database (SQL Server).  Now that I've been able to restore the database of the vCO on the secondary server *, I can't Rob the device vCO on the new server of DB.  Specifically, everything I try to do in the web GUI results in something like this:

    Error occurred

    on https://SVCs-Mgmt-VCO.rsasvcs.lab.EMC.com:8283/config_database/database.action

    (The FULL 413 head)

    My best guess is this is due to the fact that in the page are stored in the DB and it can't find it.  Is it possible to update the location of the database of the device to vCO outside the GUI?

    Thank you

    Jason

    * Yay for me to have up-to-date backups.  Boo for me not noticing that the school could not automatically restore those in June)

    Looks like I can fix my problem here...  I realized entry since the vCO device trying to connect to the database server by name, I could add an entry to/etc/hosts to redirect the old db hostname to the new. Once I did, I was able to start the machine and set it up properly to the new host of the DB.

    Maybe this isn't the best solution, or one that would work in all situations, but it did the trick.

  • Suspected stolen iPad

    Hi all. I suspect that I bought an iPad3 stolen from a guy on facebook. He told me initially that his sister gave him the iPad and he lost the password. I'm ready to find a way of how to know if the device is stolen or not. I am also willing to contact the owner and retrieve his iPad for him if this is really a stolen device.

    Urgent please help.

    Or anyone here, or at Apple will be able to help get this information

  • You just bought stolen Portege M400!

    On 27 October, I bought Toshiba Portege M400-103 (part number PPM40E-01201CRU, store in Moscow). It was new in box (but not waterproof). Then I registered it to Toshiba 3-year warranty. They asked for proof of purchase, I provided it (reception and cash-memo and a photo of the label on the package), and then, they confirmed my warranty.

    Yesterday, when they surf on this site, I found the link to the database of stolen laptops and checked my serial number. He said that my Portege M400 is STOLEN!

    If I have a proof of purchase, it is always very embarrassing for me to have such a marked mobile. Should I return it to the store? Should I talk about Toshiba (although, why they confirmed the warranty on a stolen laptop?). What should I do?

    PPM40E-01201CRU is the serial number of portable.
    What you need is the * serial number.

    I checked the database stolen units Toshiba I found on the support page, and there are many units PPM40E-01201CRU with different serial numbers.
    Please check this!

    If your serial number will then contact the service provider allowed in your country and explain this situation!
